  1. I guess it's good that it was also available in Valentine's Day promotion the following February. But it would be nice to make it (and the Chiss Airspeeder mount that accompanied it both times) available again. The best route for that would be the Galactic Seasons vendor that sells old promos.
  2. That never worked, even before they changed the rules to allow a space. What people are most of all complaining about is how "John Doe" is shown as "John doe" in the chat window. (Frequently stated in ways that imply (a) that it's everywhere(1) and (b) that it's impossible to play while the bug exists(2).) But automatically selecting the post-hyphen capitalisation, whichever way it's done, is going to be wrong for some characters. My own "Be-bop'alula"(3) should *not* automatically become "Be-Bop'alula". (1) It's *only* in the chat window. (2) I'm exaggerating here, but only slightly. (3) Don't create characters while you have a brain-worm song in your head.
  3. Do you mean an actual *purge* (unconditionally removing names from characters that meet some combination of criteria), or just "unlock the names of those characters so they can be taken by others, but if the player logs in again first, relock the name onto the character"?
  4. They said they were going to bring back getting the tokens by bringing back the bosses, not by bringing back the whole event. But it hasn't happened yet.
  5. The old advice was to avoid PuGs for VM and MM Ops, because PuGs are reliably unreliable for quality of play. See e.g. https://forums.swtor.com/topic/558251-the-weird-people-you-meet-in-group-finder/ for more than 400 pages of posts on the subject of PuGs being bad.
  6. A new download of the installer sets up the full mode ("SSN") rather than the streaming mode, and has done since before Covid was a thing. There's only one EU/English server, Darth Malgus. I don't play there, so I can't advise you on how busy it is.
  7. Unfortunately, that's not what the studio believes. (They said so explicitly one time.) I suspect that @Rohndogg meant "do the chapters unlock so [[you can play them all individually]]" rather than "[[do the chapters unlock individually]] so you can play them". That is, the "individually" referred to the ability to play each one by itself after unlocking them all by skipping. And the answer to the question is yes, once you skip them, the whole lot is unlocked for individual replay, just the same as if you play through them manually.
  8. Given the general reputation of technical (and other) work done on Friday afternoons, I'd prefer that they schedule it for a different day, e.g. Tuesday.
  9. If by "the market", you mean "the Cartel Market", there very much *is* a downside, in that the players who missed it the two times it was already available would have to pay Cartel Coins for it (i.e. in some sense, actual money), while the ones who got it before got it without having to do that. Putting it on the Galactic Seasons vendor cycle would be better.
  10. It *shouldn't* cause that kind of problem. Once it's been put in the mailbox, it should be linked to the mailbox by an unchangeable internal ID of the character that we players never see. Of course, "shouldn't" and "doesn't" are different things, but since character names are inherently variable, it would be incredibly unwise of the studio to use the actual character name as the mailbox ID. (And even if they had done that, nothing would stop the rename action from changing the name on the mailbox.) And in any event, having done it, I can confirm that changing your character's name does not delete the mails in your character's mailbox.
  11. That might or might not be true, but Ares is *definitely* the name of an important NPC (the primary antagonist, in fact) in one of the KotET chapters, and therefore it *should* say that the name is *Invalid*(1) rather than *not available*. (1) Against the naming rules enforced by the automatic censor, notably, in this case, the rule that says you're not allowed to give your character the name of a character or area in SWTOR lore, nor in general Star Wars lore. (Not all such names are enforced by the automatic censor, mind you. I once, without realising it, named a character "Tela" - there's a slightly obscure mine in the Gormak lands on Voss that's called that...)
  12. In CET/CEST parts of Europe (Spain, France, B*lg**m, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, possibly others, but *not* Portugal), the clocks go forward at 2am CET, not 2am GMT.
  13. I would say that even two or three days would be enough to prevent most people from doing it, but a week sounds like a reasonable value.
  14. The Master's Datacron does not prevent you from starting a romance with Lana. Using it, then skipping ahead to Jedi Under Siege most definitely does, but that's because you skipped ahead past KotFE, not because you used the Master's Datacron. (If you level up manually from level 1 to level 70+ without beginning KotFE, and then jump to JUS, you end up with the same problem.)
