  1. Each season, I completed the track on 2 servers. During the season, I played the game that much more, helping populate another server for some time everyday. I would love for someone to explain to me how spending more time playing the game would be considered "abuse." It was clearly by design. If a player wanted to unlock GS levels using CCs, they would have been in the red at 100 CCs per level, so there's no way to "abuse" the system to gain CCs. The catch-up feature using credits is a credit sink, so that's working as intended. Just because some players choose not to play GS on more than one server does not make it "abuse" for those who did / do. The real explanation that people don't want to believe is that they swapped CC rewards for some Cartel pack rewards. While I prefer the old system, I'll still proceed through GS on 2 servers as I have done before.
  2. It takes me 10 minutes or less to find an HK part on any planet because I know what I'm doing.
  3. At release, this was level 65 content that was not too hard in gear around 200 with a companion between influence level 10-20. It should be even easier on a level 80 in 320 gear with a lvl 50 comp. If they want to make a more challenging version of EC, they should make a vet mode that gives you better rewards than garbage lvl 65 gear, but keep the story mode tuned the way it was released. That being said, they clearly aren't going to make any changes before GS week 3. It's been over-tuned each time the max level was raised. This is one of the many areas in the game the devs have all but abandoned.
  4. I'm sure both are equally important. A subscription means at least a temporary monetary commitment and many subs make CM purchases. So subs are very important. But even with inflation, I would not continue to subscribe if they raised the price. There are a lot of things I've stopped buying because of the price increases.
  5. Honestly, I would appreciate a few more QT points being added to different areas of the game with this being one. However, Since the swoop event is only 1 week every two months, it wouldn't make sense to have a QT point there the rest of the time. That's probably a big reason why they have not added one. Adding a QT point only during an event may not be as simple as it sounds, unfortunately. If you look to the Rakghoul event for an example, they didn't add a QT point, but added a temporary "taxi" that drops you off near the spike. Maybe they could do this on Dantooine for the swoop event.
  6. Every single video game is a complete waste of time and money when it comes to providing human needs. People that play video games do so as a form of entertainment or as a hobby. Everybody has to decide for themselves whether or not the price is worth it for the amount of entertainment they receive. Some people just enjoy generally playing the game. Others enjoy maybe just a few aspects of the game. Some people enjoy wasting their money. Some waste their money so they can have more time. Some people appreciate the options afforded by a game that allows you to play and grind for rewards or choose to skip the grind and get the rewards via purchase. Having been participating in the forums for the duration of this game, I can tell you that people complained about every form of subscriber rewards they have tried. The complaints were always about the rewards being "exclusive" or no longer available. Galactic Seasons is a system that rewards subscribers for actually playing the game, but gives players a chance to acquire old rewards that they missed in the past. On top of that, they created alternate paths to the rewards. We can do the objectives which we get to choose from a weekly list. The length of the season is long enough to allow us to pass on objectives each week or just take a few weeks off if we want. Then they created the credit sink "catch up" system for people that may have had something come up in real life that prevented them from keeping on pace. Finally, they created a way for impatient people with money to just buy the cosmetics outright. Don't forget that if you miss a season, the rewards will be available again during later seasons. Long story short, this is the best reward system they can have based on the feedback provided in these forums. I don't understand the purpose of your one-man crusade against Galactic Seasons. I understand people that are underwhelmed with the rewards. I understand the disappointment of people that hoped Season 3 would be as good to them as Season 2 was. I understand not liking change in general. I don't understand why you think that the grown adults that make up a majority of this game's player base will be unable to avoid the temptation of "or Buy now." The people that planned on playing the game will always play the game. The people that have to have instant gratification will spend their money and buy what they want. Both players will be equally happy. It's comical to me when a grown adult calls out an industry that is 100% entertainment based for "Predatory monetization." It's even more comical when that player funds the industry, not to mention the particular company he continually calls out for such behavior.
  7. Your statement would be more accurate if you said "remaining subbed is not worth it." New content is slowly rolled out now, but there is a ton more content for new players to do now than there was originally. The sub, for new players, is a better value than ever before. But as I pointed out, real life inflation is real and while we haven't seen a subscription price drop, we haven't seen a hike either, thus the value of the subscription is better today than it was 10 years ago.
  8. Press L - Open conquest tab - find the weekly swoop objective - click "grant mission" - use the quick travel feature. This will only work on characters that have "been there" before. If you already completed that objective for the day, you can still use the "grant mission" feature from the list of completed objectives.
  9. Since this game released, the price of gasoline has tripled, the price of fast food has doubled, the price of soda has doubled, the price of houses have doubled, the price of used cars has doubled, the price of beef has gone up 60%, etc... The US$ subscription price for SWTOR has not changed.
  10. It's grayed out when they are not cheating. I've had to wait 3-4 minutes one time for a gambler to begin cheating. Entrapment anybody?
  11. I don't see how playing GS on multiple servers is "abuse." I actually thought it was a clever way to increase server populations and decrease queue pop time on the less populated servers. It will be interesting to see if this decision does less to inspire players to play more than they typically would.
  12. It would probably just be easier to pin all the threads.
  13. The kickstart tactical was actually a buff to the user. You could mount, go forward, unmount and mount again right away, repeatedly getting the buff and travel wherever you were going basically at the accelerated speed the entire distance. They decided that was "bad."
