  1. Making it exclusive to the hardest content types, which are populated by different groups with little overlap, one of which you already know is prone to manipulation, and hope the market will sort it out for you? Nope. Big nope! If you decide to stick with this against all reason, I would like to go ahead now and advertise my services to NiM raiders and ranked PvP guilds as a neutral party, an escrow officer if you will. If your NiM raid team goes into ranked PvP and negotiates a deal with the PvP group *wink wink* , you may send the money to me and I will, after completion of the match and evaluation of screen shots to see the agreement was honored, send the proceeds - minus a modest 5% handling fee - on to the appropriate party. /sarcasm 'coz you know this is how it'll go, right?
  2. You already can, though you have to go through the extra hoop of getting cartel coins, buy something with cartel coins, hope you bought something worthwhile, sell that something on the AH, pay the AH tax, PROFIT! ... which is quite cumbersome. I understand there might be reluctance to directly link real world currency to in game credits. A solution would be something like the Guild Wars 2 model, where you can sell the premium currency (cartel coins) on the AH directly, while also implementing a "buy order" system. If the current AH doesn't support this, maybe develop a new AH that is (initially?) limited to cartel coin trades.
  3. So, what ever happen to the refunds? Previous threads from a year ago or so just petered out without a dev response? I thought BW had something worked out? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9098181#edit9098181
  4. First off , it's a moot point, I don't want open world Heroics changed, I want more challenging solo player content, but with commensurate rewards and without it affecting anyone who doesn't want to opt in for the challenge. Second, I wasn't even talking avoiding all combat by zig zagging, or just riding by. The stuff on the side across from the camp is just the occasional regular and strong mob. If you run into the elite camp once and die, and you decide to keep running into it instead of going around... *Shrug*
  5. You mean, there wouldn't be the current heroics mode if they'd up the mobs there. Point taken. Still, instanced heroics could get a hard mode added. You can get by the mando area without running through it. The other one is an issue, but as pointed out, modifying open world heroics would change it for all players, which I want to avoid, so nevermind that, just add the hard mode to the instanced ones. Can't do the "4 levels below" with my level 70 toons. I have done it on occasion while leveling, going in with yellow and orange level enemies and whatever drops I had collected by then, but it's still not the same, and the rewards don't scale up for gimping yourself. I have done the Dread Seed H4 with a companion, and that was fantastic, except for the boss dropping form the ceiling part, since you need to micro manage the position of your companion for it. That part was a bit tedious. I don't see how adding an additional difficulty level would "mess up the game for anyone else". Is anyone's game getting messed up by having Hard Mode and Nightmare Mode Ops?
  6. Not instanced - ok, so? This will mean certain areas are populated by elites and such. I don't think any open world heroics are in major thoroughfares, where you have to pass through. And even if that is an issue, then modify only the instanced ones. That's still the majority. Just make new stuff - Sure. The advantage my suggestion has is that it requires a lot less developer effort than a completely new heroics area.
  7. PlzKThxBai To be clear: I don't mean an automatic repeat of the mission, just a button I can click that will repeat the last mission the companion ran, so I don't have to scroll and click around to make my people do the same thing they did last time around.
  8. The swords from Manaan, I think they are the Fira ones? Regardless, the ones from Manaan, pretty please.
  9. Just bump up the unit level by one for everything in the heroic. E.g. make each standard unit a strong/silver level unit, make each silver unit an elite/gold, etc. Make some guess for existing champs, e.g. add 20% to damage, 50% to HP, or something. Bump up rewards, obviously. These changes seem pretty simple, it's using stuff already in game, but would require some UI work and changing the initialization for a heroic. This change would bring back the heroic of old, when they were at least marginally challenging, when doing them solo.
  10. I got in now. Not sure if it mattered, but I hoped to another server, created a char there to get on the server, then logged back over, and now I can get in Satele again.
  11. Same problem. Hilariously, once I got to the launcher screen and it showed me patch notes for 3.3.2a... Restarted launcher and it's back to the proper 5.X notes. Still can't get into game though.
  12. Makeb Conquest objective lists the old Staged Weekly, not the current [WEEKLY] Daily Area: Makeb. You don't get cq credit for doing the Daily Area one.
  13. Someone was sleepy I guess, and I got the vented lightsaber for default price, like 32k creds I think. Made me very happy. I have sold stuff for too cheap on occasion, too, though.
  14. Sins do get a force regen buff when they stealth out, but Op gets a similar thing with the stim probe. But I don't see an issue for the Op, really. It's like complaining that juggs and maras can run out of rage. Just throw a basic attack in there once in a while and it'll work out.
  15. Are you talking about your account status? There is free-to-play (F2P), preferred, and subscriber. Here is a FAQ. 1) Basically, F2P is that, it free, doesn't have a monthly sub fee, but they game places a lot of restrictions on you. 2) Subscriber or premium accounts pay that monthly fee and have full access to everything in the game. 3) Preferred status is for accounts that used to be subscribers, but you stopped paying the monthly fee, i.e. lapsed accounts. Preferred status is a little better than F2P, but it still has a lot of limits on it. It used to be you could get preferred status as well if you were F2P and spend a small amount of cash on the cash shop, e.g. to buy the in-game cash shop currency (Cartel Coins), but I don't see that in the FAQ anymore, so this may have been removed from the game.
