  1. Thank you. There are times I would like to use it, so I hope they add an option to hide/unhide it with a single click and not having to go into the Hud interface.
  2. I haven't played this game for a while and now I noticed there is a map at the bottom right corner of my screen, it's nice, but I prefer it not take up my screen real estate. I couldn't find an option to hide or close it. Is there one? Thanks in advance.
  3. I use windows 10 pro. In the shortcut to the game, right click it and select properties then at the top click on compatibility and then select windows 8. This worked for me and many others.
  4. I had the same problem, and someone told me a fix that worked. I use Windows 10 Pro. Right click on your SWTOR shortcut, click properties. At the top bar, choose compatibility and select Windows 8.

  7. Long story short; the launch screen was truncated. After putting in my login info, I couldn't see the Login button at the bottom. I then noticed I could barely see the top of the button and if I was careful with my mouse, I could click that, and it worked. However, on the next screen informing about the 64-bit version update, the bottom close button or the top left X would not close that window. I had to close it on the Windows taskbar. I worked on this for a long time. It had been working fine the last time I played the game a few days ago. Any ideas. My display setting hasn't changed; they have been the same for months.
  8. I got out of it!!! I typed in chat \stuck and before I pushed the enter key, I kept my forward up arrow pushed down while pushing the enter key. I ran forward out of the stuck position. Yea! I was trying all kinds of stuff and this trick worked. I hope I remember, if there is a next time.
  9. I fell down between a wall and tent. Now I am stuck. I'm vibrating, so, the game thinks I am moving, therefore the /stuck command, quick travel, going to a stronghold doesn't work. I read I could use duty finder to que for a flashpoint, but I can't find the group finder icon. I really don't want to do a flashpoint anyway. I'm guessing I will have to wait until tomorrow's patch before my character will work again. I also logged out and in, no luck.
  10. I don't play SWTOR that much but lately I noticed a mew menu at the bottom left of my screen. It just takes up too much screen Reali state. I can't minimize it or move it in the HUD layout; it's fixed. I quit playing the game early the last 2 times because of it. Am I missing something here?
  11. I battled the last several hours trying to get SWTOR to work with the new patch; I finally get it working. Here is what I did, I'm sure there was a shorter way in resolving this issue, but I am happy SWTOR is working now. First, I deleted the SWTOR folder and did a fresh install. When it got close to being finished, the installation just stopped; I waited for about 45 mins, and there was still no progress, so I decided to abort it. The only way I could close the launcher was to go into task manager and kill it there. It got hung up when the installation got to the point of installing Assets 366; it hung up at 34% of the installation. The PC I was trying to install it on uses Windows 10. I copied the SWTOR folder to a networked PC that was using Windows 8.1, and I deleted the SWTOR folder on my main Windows 10 pc. On the Windows 8.1 PC, I created a shortcut to the launcher in the SWTOR folder, clicked on it, and it resumed the installation at the beginning of installing Assets 366, which is where I had the problem on my Windows 10 PC. It didn't take long. It zoomed right past the 34% it got stuck on before and when it hit 100%, the update was done. The game worked fine, and I didn't lose any settings; keyboard bindings and screen layout (HUD) didn't change. I then copied the SWTOR folder back to my Windows 10 PC. It worked there great!! I am going to keep the working copy on my Windows 8.1 PC, in case I need it in the future. My best guess is that on my main Windows 10 PC, there was a DLL or some other type of background file that interfered with the SWTOR update. OH, when I was running the update on my win 8.1 pc, my Norton Antivirus was on so that had no bearing on the SWTOR update
  12. I have been trying to install the new patch for the last couple of hours with no luck. I tried 3 times and it always stops at about 36% in the process. I have 200gb available on the partition. When the patch process stops, it says there was an error, but it gives no info on the error. Also, a link appears with the label "Repair" I click on Repair, and it also dies at about 36%. I then copied the SWTOR game folder to another partition and changed my SWTOR shortcut to point to the new location. I ran the launcher, again, it stopped at about 36%. I am going to login to my account on the SWTOR web. I assume I can download the game from there. I had to do that a few years ago, it took a very long time. I hope the new patch is included in the SWTOR I will download.
  13. When I switch between loadout 1 to 2, my health drops to about 50%, when I switch back to loadout 1, again, it drops to 50%. Is this a bug. Now I am forced to get my health to 100% each time I switch loadouts.
