  1. OP really doesn't understand the meaning of subjective and objective. Infact there is no objective right answer to the question you posed. The right number of abilities in a game is a) different between different players and b) purely subjective. Starting your opinion and then claiming it is objective because you have a reason for your opinions doesn't make it any less your opinion or any more true. The fact the most respondents disagree with you shows that your opinion certainly isn't shared among the subset of respondents to this thread, the fact that this follows an ability pruning not long ago which must regular players I knowv(as well as the aforementioned respondents to this thread) on balance dislike, suggests that your subjective opinion is, to the best approximation of objectivity, Infact "wrong".
  2. My suggestion to drain a few trillion from the rich players in the game is as follows... Make a set of maybe 10 - 12 highly desirable, luxury-themed stronghold decos (either /50 or even /999, not centrepiece or starship hooks, something where it is worth unlocking several). Put these on a new vendor at 500m or 1b a piece. Watch the credits roll in. At a later date you could even make them available in the seasons vendor (1 token for 1 decoration) so poorer people can get some.
  3. I have actually been quite lucky with my dc's since this new system has been implemented, so it hasn''t affected me that negatively personally. It is still completely overtuned, especially since anyone who doesn't want to fight, at least in arenas, can just /stuck or afk in warzones. I'm convinced that the main effect of the current system is punishing people with poor internet, so I really hope you are toning it down significantly.
  4. So, just had my first "leaving"....rest of my internet was fine, just my SWTOR connection played up and it kicked me to the server selection. Logged back in, out of the warzone, 20 minute lockout. Was about my 7th PVP match of the evening, rest had gone fine, no connection problems at all. I can and will wait 20 minutes now, but, if, for whatever reason (and I have no idea what the reason is), the connection plays up again, it'll be up to an hour lockout. Might play it safe and just not PVP...which for me today would mean not playing at all, since we don't know how the system works. For all I know, it might be that hitting the second lockout makes the cooldown last longer. And then, if I get another DC in 4 days I might suddenly be locked out of PVP (including GSF) for 6 hours. So basically, if I want to be safe, I have to stop playing now. Do you see the problem Bioware? I am neither ragequitting nor playing riskily on an unstable internet connection, I just sometimes have connection problems with no warning which are frustrating enough anyway, without basically forcing me to stop playing. Revert this change ASAP please,.
  5. I was in a Vandin Huttball today where I got 9 medals and was the only one to actually get 8 or more. That's not good.
  6. As someone who also has occasional internet drops (also some of those seemingly exclusively in SWTOR while everything else works fine) and who has ragequitted precisely once in all the 1000's of PVP matches I've played in the game, I have no problem with the idea of staggered penalties in principle, but I think the choice of durations is hugely excessive. Something like 10 Minutes, 20 Minutes, 40 Minutes, 1 Hour, 6 Hours would be fine. Maybe I'm totally wrong but I would guess only maybe 50% of drop outs in PVP are rage quits, so the punishment is just to draconian considering a lot of people who are hit by it have already been hit by the punishment of losing everything they gained in the match they just played (my last DC was in a voidstar match where I was at the final forcefield after about 2 minutes having already opened the bridge and both doors, so I clearly wasn't rage-quittting).
  7. Edit: Never mind, the second time installing the new launcher fixed the problem for some reason... Second Edit: Nope, still not working, now eternally stuck at 9.09 MB download remaining. 😖 And it's not letting me access the repair function. Third Edit: Uninstalled and reinstalling via Steam, hope that fixes it. 😤 *********************************************************************************************** Since the update, my launcher hasn't worked properly. I thought it was just a visual bug, but now I'm not so sure. Basically, after I enter my security key, the screen freezes half way to the next screen where I can then press play to start the game. By pressing enter or clicking with the mouse where the play button should be I was still able to launch the game normally, so I basically ignored the bug so far. However, the game didn't update and instead launched the game into the unpatched version. I tried using the launcher repair utility which didn#t change anything. I don't particularly fancy reinstalling the entire game, any other ideas?
  8. I'm sorry, but you do realise you have i exactly the wrong way round!? I found out, that you needed to hit legendary within the galactic seasons timeframe 7 weeks before the end of the season. Before then, I had assumed you just needed to earn enough rep. tokens during the season, that you could use them to hit max. reputation later. Which would havve made sense. You can only earn the currency during the event. What doesn't make sense is that you make the weekly cap for turning in the reputation tokens ridiulously low, so that even someone (for example, not quite my case obviously) who joins seasons late can earn enough rep. for legendary reputation, but isn't able to complete the achievement because you slow him down so much turning them in. What is the logic of this? Please explain! In my case, I would even just have made it, except you scheduled a back-end maintenance just for the end of seasons and, when I tried to log in about 15 minutes before to turn in my final reputation tokens it didn't let me onto the server any more (I was on a plane before with delay and couldn't log in prior, wasn't planning to log in so late). This really was a stupid, stupid decision. Gate the earning of the reputation tokens, not the handing in, or at least don't make the handing in so slow it takes about 10 weeks for a 20 week event and then pretend you can do the season whenever you want) and hide the fact in the small print. Unless you want to really annoy a certain section of your loyal fan base.
  9. I feel like I have to come clean here... 100% on armors (including all the remnant ones), all unlocked account wide. 100% on weapons, all unlocked account wide. 99% on color crystals (-Advanced Black-Yellow Fortitude Crystal and SE Black-Green Color Crystal), all eviscerating and indestructible crystals unlocked accounts wide. 99% on mounts (-B-44 Marshall, Opal Vulptilla and AC-PT Walker), maybe 15% unlocked account wide. 89% on pets (missing mainly the CC coin exclusive pets, but also Juvenile Makrin Creeper, Taun Fawn and CE Minimech), maybe 50% unlocked account wide. 100% on Toys, Tunings, Flairs and Companions, all unlocked account wide. 97% on Titles, (missing Founders Medal and the new one which has a placeholder name), all unlocked account wide. 98% on Emotes (missing only the unavailable ones), all unlocked account wide. 95% on Companions Customizations (missing the Doc 9 customizations, which I have in both CM and rep vendor versions, but neither unlocked it, the 2 Graffiti Droid ones which seem to be unavailable (?) and Fen Zeils Outlaw Customization). Only the seasons customizations unlocked account wide. Cartel items almost all bought on the GTN over the years, or from crates which were bought on the GTN when they still had separate reputations. Some bought on my secondary account which I originally created for certain conquest weeks, but really started using during seasons to earn more CC. All CC I ever get (grants, security key, referral spamming, which I didn't do much of though, didn't like it, and the 2 galactic seasons and a total of 3 CC purchases, including 2 during the 75% off sale), only ever spent on collections unlocks during sales. I guess, I play the game my way.
  10. I finally stopped grinding prestige after finally hitting 1m personal prestige a year ago. To be honest, the prestige competition was best when the maximum for each deco was only 50. Obviously it was good that they did increase it, because strongholds should be about decorating, not fgriding prestige, but just for the prestige competition it was much better initially, whenreally about getting As many different decos as possible... The first one was worth more than the next 49. After they increased it to 999 max for most decos, it just became a matter of grinding the incrementally next last cheap deco and just having enough credits...
  11. Those are the numbers for tech fragments. But you also get more SRM, but 2/3/4 depending on yield.
  12. This has been the case for the last few unlock sales too...not sure why this specific title, but there you go.
  13. This seems to be the problem. However, I also rerolled to a week 2 obkective...but that also doesn't track progress on the new objectives. I also had a GSF daily...this completed successfully...presumably because it is available in both weeks.
  14. A guildmate of mine just posted a screenshot on our discord. Three low levels put in an arena against 3 level 60+. Matchmaking working a treat. The low levels all quit before the match started. Has anyone actually had any good experiences of this? I've only been able to bring myself to queue once so far...
  15. Well, people are running warzones for the Seasons objectives too, I think. I was in a 10-74 Odessen PG yesterday where a full 6 out of 8 people obviously had no idea what to do and just ran around in a group (not really searching for the other team or objectives....just sticking close to each other for company it seemed like).
