  1. Hey there, is the guide updated for 4.0? I don't know if there were any big changes. Also I see you play on red eclipse, mind if I messaged you online for tips?
  2. Maybe I'm missing it somewhere but sometimes I want to see how the damage done to me is distributed and not just the last skill. If that madness sorc did 90% damage and the pt just came in for the last hit, I'd like to have a way of a quick analysis of the enemies I'm facing. Are people seeing more than just the last kill ability? Is it in the settings that I need to turn on? Also that stat board at the end, where overall healing, damage, objective etc. is shown, is it possible for me to view it anytime during the match? I prefer to know who to watch out for. Lastly what about inspecting enemy gear? It would be nice what my enemy is wearing.
  3. pvp = player vs player Get it out of your head that pvp means only killing each other. It means competition between players. Ops is a cooperation game mode.
  4. What classes do you have in mind? Sorc healers?
  5. Which class is this? And is this an actual thing or more of an exaggerated comment?
  6. Thanks that's great to hear. Now I have a side question here, does it matter if the damage is burst or not? Wouldn't overall damage be the better comparison? Or are there special bosses that have only specific windows to which you need burst I suppose? Anyways from your description it sounds like it's more of a matter of playstyle rather than numbers and utilities that separate the two.
  7. Hello I'm pretty new to operations and would like advice on the two ac. My question pertains to their dps role in ops. I always thought that while both do great dps, the merc outperformed the pt in terms of dps. Looking at the parsely ops leaderboard I can see more pts with higher dps than mercs. Clearly being in melee isn't negatively affecting him, most likely due to the mobility and ranged skills available. In this case, why ever bring a merc instead of a pt? I have a merc I'm gearing now but maybe I shouldn't waste my time and effort on it. Can anyone clarify the advantages and disadvantages of each ac in ops?
  8. Thanks for the input. I don't pull and I do go for the adds first. But the sometimes the tank doesn't take all aggro or sometimes the tank dies and that's when I have to get into survival mode. When I'm in survival mode I'm not doing any good damage and eventually go to a wipe.
  9. Hello all, I'm new to the commando (level 52) only and have no problem most of the time. I mow trash mobs down easily, on bosses it's usually a 2v1 with my companion so no problem at all. However once things get tough (flashpoints for example), and I go into "survival mode" I feel I can't do anything, like I'm only good as long as someone else has higher threat to tank for me. If for some reason I find myself alone, I 'm mostly sure I'm done for and can't turn the tides. I mean if I'm ever using my offheals on myself during battle, I know it's gameover as I won't be able to heal through the damage anyways. Concussion charge (pushback) is okay but on melees they just run back 2 seconds later. Adrenaline rush, cryo grenade and diversion I find useful but I was wondering if other people feel vulnerable on their commando as well. Maybe because I'm spoiled coming from melee classes. Should I be using a mix of offensive and defensive mods? Or at least stack up on endurance? Any tips is welcome!
  10. I'm looking for a class that can actively support groups and not just dps. I only have experience with a jedi guardian and a sith assassin. I love my sin, being able to support the group in many ways, great tanking, bit of dps, and other really fun things like force push and enemy force pull. It really makes the character unique, versatile and can really affect some situations. I'm interested to see if there are other classes that can make big impacts like this and not just pure dps. I understand that the sorcerer has an ally pull and can bubble allies too but is that all? How about other classes?
  11. If you keep restarting characters it simply means you don't like them, or that you didn't spend enough time to learn the new skills/rotations. I'm not sure how you expect other people to tell you what to play and that you'll suddenly like it. Why not try the sith inquisitor since you liked consular, you already know and like the gameplay.
  12. Ah I see, heroic missions it is then! Does it matter which ones in particular? I mean there are so many I don't know where to begin
  13. Hello, I think the newcomer's guide on the subject is outdated. What should I be aiming for gear-wise to be able to do high level operations? Spam flashpoints? Continue with fleet mods? Run SM only operations?
