  1. Seems like all servers unavailable would be worthy of some kind of alert or alarm.
  2. Hmm... My old guild has stopped playing, and so I joined a new one with a fully decked out dreadnought. Last I checked, they were ranked 2nd in conquest points for his week and only by a little. They're asking everyone to contribute 35k per week and while I'd like to help, I'm enjoying leveling, playing the class stories and exploring the planets again. I don't mind working on some points if I can do it while enjoying my play, but I don't want the WoW daily/mat grind all over again. That's why I left WoW and came to SWTOR.
  3. Okay, so if you're not max level, trying to grind your way to 60, and don't like PVP - what is the best way to get your points? I can't craft the items, and I hate to bug guildies to drag me through the wrong-leveled FP. I'm scratching my head at what a mid-level person is supposed to do.
  4. I've been out of the game for a couple of years, and missed the introduction of planetary conquests. Is there some place I can read up on how they are supposed to work and who should be doing them (a lot of them seem to require max-level, groups, wz's, etc.)? Most of the guides (ex: dulfy) explain how they function with the expectation that you already know something about them, and are still a bit confusing.
  5. Just re-subscribed after a couple of years hiatus. Where should I be looking for the latest spec guides? Thanks in advance - now to relearn all my classes.
  6. You are correct - I forgot to indicate these are for the Empire, but I'm assuming the exact slot/level/cost equivalents exist for the Republic side. Simply compare the equivalent level/order of planets.
  7. Have you been trying to decide to whether to take a piece of gear or a commendation badge as a quest reward? Have you been trying to decide whether a couple of quick PVP matches could fill a needed hole in your gear? I put together this master list for my guild and thought it might be useful for others. Enjoy! Commendation Upgrades
  8. Thank you!!! I'm usually the first one to pick up on stuff like this (hide head slot, detailed tooltips, Emergency Fleet Pass, etc.), but I missed this one.
  9. My Sith Inquisitor (Sorcerer) hit ~15th level when I noticed in a dialogue cutscene that her eyes changed from green to a yellow-orange. Is this a storyline result of her Sith advancement, or a bug? TBH, I'm a little irritated and hope its not "working as intended". FWIW, at the character selection screen her eyes are still green. Not a big deal, I know, but just wondering if I need to report this or if its happening across the board. She's human, btw.
  10. THIS. The solution is not *just* new servers. The solution is free transfers of entire guilds OFF the BioWare-chosen over populated servers. The problem has an EXTREMELY simple solution, and one that could be implemented in a single maintenance window. That it has not already been done during EA speaks to the ineptitude of the planning & launch teams.
  11. This is a complete and utter failure at planning, and is completely indefensible. Every character has a companion. The toughest content for current level characters is 4 toons Therefore in order to enjoy a zone/flashpoint/quest you need a minimum of 2 players That means a server needs to have ~100-500 players online to have a full population If you have a queue exceeding 800+ players, you have completely failed at planning. By forcing my guild onto an overpopulated server that I'm unable to login to play to, you have effectively denied my ability to play. Had we been allowed to create characters on any server we wanted, and then formed a guild there, the queue problem wouldn't be so drastic. The epicness of this planning and design failure is certain to be a model for what not to do for all future massively multiplayer games.
  12. What I'd like to know is, with only the pre-orders in the game, why are so many servers FULL so much of the time. Post launch you could make a case that you under anticipated the popularity of the game - but you know *exactly* how many pre-orders you have. Failure to provide an adequately sized server farm is inexcusable. 7 years of learning from Blizzard's mistakes and no lessons learned in this area?
  13. Sadly, I purchased the game within 15 minutes of pre-orders being available, but didn't redeem the code until a couple of days later. Who knew the part where you actually give them money was completely inconsequential.
  14. Lets get rolling once those servers are up and invites are out.
