  1. I'm having a similar issue with version mismatch. I ran all the troubleshooting steps and couldn't get logged in until I changed the compatibility mode via the "Change settings for all users" option; otherwise the compatibility mode setting wouldn't save at all. I played fine this afternoon after running the troubleshooting, yet when I tried to play this evening, despite the compatibility mode being on as it worked earlier, I again have the version mismatch error. I have run all the troubleshooting steps again, tried to launch in regular mode to no avail and now compatibility doesn't work either. Edit: This morning I tried the game as a last ditch before switching to Steam and without me changing anything since the night before where I was totally unable to get past the Version Mismatch error...and logged in fine.
  2. I can't log in to the new area at all. I have a character I logged out in Interpreter's retreat and I keep getting an error saying the location file is missing, but the Launcher doesn't permit access to Repair the install. I also am missing a LOT of regular textures for things that would be decorations on the Fleet. Edit to add: I fixed it. I found a file that had last updated on the 13th, which was patch day (it worked on patch day). Renamed the file with .bak after it's extension which then forced the launcher to update. Interesting to note that at no time was the Repair option available to me; it remained greyed out despite the fact that it was obvious there were issues with the files in my install.
  3. I updated the game and played 7.3 on patch day. I tried to log in today and have a 30+gig download. Stand alone launcher, I do not use Steam.
  4. Hey there, just wanted to say thanks for the replies and further input. I still think the Korriban boss may be a legitimate bug because its phases are so different; and in doing the boss many times in the previous build, it -never- displayed those behaviors, even on failed attempts due to not enough dps.
  5. Just checking if I'm the only one: Certain bosses in 7.x are now an order of magnitude more difficult than they were prior. I'm not talking about them being hard because gear isn't up. I've played on teams with nearly maxed gear (Master Mode flashpoints shouldn't require raid gear). Korriban Incursion: droid boss (second boss) has adds starting to spawn in the random circles phase. Prior to 7.x the pace was: random circles, boss neutral phase, adds spawn, boss centered AE, random circles, rinse repeat. The first cycle happens as normal but each subsequent cycle is spawning waves of adds faster and faster. Assault on Tython: Final boss: the amount of unavoidable damage now being inflicted on the group is...excessive. I have taken a hit for 177k damage. This boss has always been a little iffy if people can't avoid the circles and it's always had unavoidable damage spikes but again, since 7.0, the incoming amount of damage seems off. Czerka Corporate Labs: droid boss (first boss) has either a ridiculously inflated health, or something is up with his damage resistance. I've yet to have a group NOT have this boss reach the enrage timer; again, this includes decently geared groups so it shouldn't be a matter of gear not good enough. Again, this has only happened since 7.0 dropped. Ruins of Nul: Obviously this one didn't exist before, but the second boss spawns ground circles that fire damage off so quickly it's not possible to complete a casted heal and still move. Not every heal class can **** out group-wide healing. The run up the cliff while dodging AE damage circles is stupid. In the one time I've had a group that could get past the second boss, the circles dropped on each person individually and thus some are impossible to avoid. I'd appreciate any confirmation that these encounters are overtuned, or any hints as to how I could improve my own play-I Sage heal. Thanks in advance, happy gaming!
  6. Ossus Heroic missions aren't updating in a group. Only one person's mission updates. Have to do each mission per person to get credit. This was working fine in 7.0, so you guys broke it in the patch you did to patch bugs. Nice job!
  7. Per title: Group finder used, random all flashpoints, had someone leave before last boss. Requeued for a replacement, finished flashpoint. Galactic Conflicts quest still at 0/2.
  8. The Gemini boss in MM Nathema no longer stops channeling the damage beam when the tank los’s around the pillars. It’s even worse when the duplicates are up as ALL of those beams will do damage through terrain that SHOULD be blocking line of sight. (I haven’t done Nathema MM since the first or second week post ‘expansion’ ) In general, if you’re playing DPS, you can’t ignore mechanics anymore; the healer will be unlikely to heal through avoidable damage. You need to know what your interrupt ability is, and you need to actually use it when relevant. You also need to know what your CC break is, and if you have any other ability that breaks roots/snares as a bonus effect. (Example: Force Speed breaks movement impairing abilities). In short, DPS need to realize that they both need to be carrying their own weight instead of foisting off all that ‘doing mechanics’ thing on the tank & healer; and that you have defensive cooldowns FOR A REASON. Note that I ALWAYS ask at the beginning of the run who has not done this before in master mode. If you choose to not say anything, then don’t be surprised when the healer/tank leave after you make it apparent you have no idea what you’re doing (yes it is frequently PAINFULLY obvious when dps have no idea how to do a fight). I’m not saying that you are doing these things, guy that mentioned Nathema, just btw.
  9. Deconstructing: 7.0 gear drops fills the deconstruction window with several material components that look 'greyed out'. Accepting the deconstruct results in everything being 'eaten'. I compared the number of deucalian (sp? sorry) components (ie one of the new currencies) before and after deconstruction and there is no change. Deconstructing: Crafted stims; the top level blue quality ones. All items in the post-deconstruct window look 'greyed out' and again nothing is deposited into the materials inventory, resulting in the complete loss of all those recycled materials. Deconstructing: crafted items. Again, the post-deconstruct window is 'greyed out' and no materials go into the materials inventory. I did get a new schematic from my test item.
  10. On the final fight of Nathema, master mode, the beam attack used by Gemini is now going through terrain. Pre-patch, the tank would LOS the beam and the damage would stop once there was no line of sight. Currently, the beam attack simply finishes channeling while the tank takes the full amount of damage, despite behind completely behind the terrain. There also seems to be a LOT more non-broadcast AOE damage during the Vinn Atrius fight. I don't mind having a higher difficulty, however some of this seems like a bug; since updating the Weekly: Galactic Conflicts seems to require a RANDOM flashpoint (despite not actually saying that in the mission text), it's a total crapshoot as to whether or not one is going to get a flashpoint that's completable without a bunch of new bugs, or simply being ridiculously overtuned. It's getting to the point where queuing for a master flashpoint at all is a waste of time, and I regularly queue as heals with a tank.
  11. Selecting a specific flashpoint from the current week's rotation and using group finder is not counting towards the weekly update. Have run Athiss twice now and still sitting at 0/2. The quest text says must use activity finder, not must do a random flashpoint.
  12. Last time the character was in activity finder, was queued dps. Switch to my heal spec while not in a group, switch activity finder role to heal. Friend invites me to group, I accept. Our queue pops and I'm listed as DPS. Double check, no I only have Heals selected. Had to decline queue, dropped group. Role updated only after I was group leader.
  13. I have BitRaider disabled and got stuck with downloading Main Assets 1 loop.
  14. 25 minutes downloading Main Assets 1, 5 mins installing and then back to downloading main assets 1. Guess I'm doing something else tonight because I'm not going to spend more time messing around with a broken launcher.
  15. I had the Priority Objective to kill 75 on: Yavin, Taris, Dantooine, Oricon. I did not track the objective. I tried to do this objective AFTER the hotfix. Objective never updated.
