  1. Havent logged in for about a month.. which is kind of funny because i wouldnt have had that month unless bioware had given it to me for having a level 50 lawl... then everyone complained and they lowered it to having completed Act 2 or something.. so very lame. Way to bow to the poosies bioware. Anyways.. this game was too hard on my spacebar.
  2. Considering how much TOR taxes your computer, we should be getting a lot more than the hero engine provides
  3. Best guess would be for companions. Especially the ranged dps companions, they tend to pull a lot of aggro. Perhaps that little bit o defense on that green gear saves you from having to stop and heal them everytime they take a couple hits
  4. If you have no problem listening to the same uninspired dialogue 16 times over.. I think you should perhaps consider watching some Real Housewives of New Jersey marathons instead of playing TOR
  5. The only times I have really felt attached to my TOR characters was when I was able to get a piece of gear before anyone else. I was the first on my server to get a rakata chest, so I was very happy to be able to show that off and feel unique. But a few days later everyone else was getting it too.. so that ended.
  6. This game has its fair share of issues, and there are plenty of reasons as to why.. but I just want to focus on one this: How attached the player is to their character. 1.2 helped a bit with custom gear, but as it stands, i dont think there are many people out their that are as attached to their ToR character(s) as they are to their characters in other games. I feel literaly no attachment to my shadow or my merc that are both in top end gear. In past games, including WoW, I loved that moment before you log in when you see your character on the selection screen.. and he looks ****** and more importantly, unique. Why is this a problem in TOR? In my opinion, the problem TOR has is that all the races are just recolors, and most of the creation options are fairly generic. Some of the armor is alright, but their is very little variation. And for the most part, its all way too space-y.. I understand star wars is set in galaxy where space travel is common, but it seems all the sith warrior i've seen from 1-40 is complete garbage. A lot of the gear in this game just looks ridiculous, as do most of the character creation options. The Races: This is an issue that has already been discussed to death so i will keep it light.. but the races are all just human recolors. You can give them horns, and call them something else, but once you get gear on them, they are all just regular humans. Very disappointing. Comparrison: I recently decided to check out DCU Online, why? For one, its free, secondly, DC has always had great lore. My overall opinion between DCU and SWTOR is that SWTOR wins in almost every respect aside from 2 things.. the monthly sub and character attachment. Their are so many options for hero creation that by the end, your finished product is very unique, and the chances of running into a copy are very slim. DCU and SWTOR have different 'class' systems, which i will not get into, but in terms of just appearence, DCU takes the cake. Even at level 10, I have a great attachment to my character. He is ****** and unique.. two things I value when creating a character. TL;DR: When you log in and are surrounded by clones, its hard to feel any attachment to your character. Lack of character customization prevents people from developing any real attachment to their avatars. Take a lesson from DCU's character creator (and only its creator, do not take anything else from that game)
  7. I feel too isolated playing this game. Getting anywhere other than where I already am seems like such a chore. If a guildie needs help and Im not on the planet he's on.. hes not getting any help from me. I feel bad.. but really.. by the time I got all the way out their he could probably level up a few times and solo it. This is the best solo player game ive ever played. But Ive finished the campaign and im going to go play an MMO now.
  8. We need wookies and droids. I see no reason why droids cant be part of the star wars mythology. Are you star wars hardliners going to say you don't want to see playable droids just because they aren't force sensitive?
  9. Kind of sad how bioware made all their races just human reskins, with one being slightly different (with giant ears) and that race has the most bugs. Excellent. I am tired of seeing the same crap over and over.
  10. 2009 account creation date = i had high hopes for this game That said, I dont want it to seem like those expectations weren't all met, as this game has been held me for about 4-5 months now.. with taking breaks with other games as i would with any other MMO. But at this point, it is very hard for me to find a reason to log in. I just feel like the amount of work I have to do to get anything interesting going is just not going to be worth it. Denova is alright, but too short, and not enough to keep me holding on for the next patch. All things considered, when my game time runs out in 2 weeks, I won't renew.. but Ill still follow the game and maybe when 1.3 comes out ill consider getting another month (just 1). The game is good.. but i think i prefer a more sandbox feel.
  11. I have played since early access, and after 4 months of subs i think im done now... at least for a while. Game is good, you can have loads of fun playing it.. but it leaves you wanting more, and im off to get it. Bon Voyage
  12. True, you can go multiple ways making things a bit more interesting. I think that was a big problem with TOR. They will try to solve the problem by making more planets, thus spreading the population out even more.. but I think they should jsut offer different continents on each planet. Dromund Kass could easily have a level 40+ continent for republic players, same with Korriban.. there is so much lore there that the story would be easy to incorporate
  13. misleading thread title is misleading
