  1. Are you using the interrupt they give you on the special ability bar?
  2. I think you have to have a token lost somewhere in a bank or hold. I got him to level 50 with what was provided in GS.
  3. Yeah I've played wow for years as well.. and I'm ok with other MMO's being different.. I'll pass on any and all of those ideas.
  4. I have the same thing.. I really wish they'd let us sell it to a vendor for 1 credit.. I mean we're not going to get rich.. I hate dragging stuff out of my inventory to destroy it.. Either that or create some sort of vaporizer that I can just drop it in.. sheesh.
  5. Probably not. Like I said Linux has been the 'techies OS' and I really don't see that view changing. Don't get me wrong I like Unix, I even dabbled with Ubuntu for a while. I know Linux is about the most user friendly it has ever been, but I don't see them or any OS right now making a huge dent in what has been the Windows market domination. I mean it has been 20+ years and they've only dropped a few percentage points.
  6. Average users will use Windows.. That has been pretty much true since Windows started dominating the market (a long time ago).. Even right now Linux while great only has about a 2-3% market share, Mac has somewhere around 10%. Linux really is only used by people who are more tech inclined. Back in the day Bill did something that solidified Windows future, he basically told companies like Dell if they wanted to sell boxes with his OS on it, they couldn't market or install any other OS. I'm sure those caveats exist in some form to this day. Chromebooks have made a serious dent into the OS market, but again not sure they'll make it into a full pc style market. They've placed themselves as a 'light weight OS' for tablets etc. Personally I haven't done more that an out of the box OS myself in around 20 years. (Not quite as techy as I used to be)
  7. Yeah I get the money thing, but when it will be 'free'.. there has to be more that they're not going to talk about (but I'd still like to know ) . That being said I've been in the tech industry for a very long time.. I've been a nerd since before being one was fashionable. I started with a Kaypro 2x learning it on my own, eventually supported windows as a tech before case based tools and now own a business doing fiber splicing. and one can never be to careful with new releases of anything.. I kept my office manager on windows 8 for the longest simply because Sage accounting wasn't up to date for Windows 10. How they stay in business I'll never know, other than maybe lack of competition.
  8. I do this, but it is SLOOOOWWWWWWW... and even doing that I agree with the OP that the materials cost for 300+ is insane.
  9. Really wondering why they're releasing a new version of windows, when they said Windows 10 would be the last Windows.
  10. another large MMO created a brutosaur mount that has access to their market and a few other things and it cost 5M gold. It was retired at the launch of their most recent expansion. That game you can technically purchase gold, and the equivalent in real world money equated to something close to 400.00 - 500.00 US dollars
  11. Good question.. I took a character that I haven't played since I purchased my fleet stronghold and yeah didn't get any cut scene just to check.. but it does seem like it is some sort of place holder.
  12. To a certain extent maybe.. but overall I think people will stop thinking an hour of their play time is worth billions of credits as well. I get that this is an issue of biowares making in that they allowed exploits to make to live, and then didn't remove exploited credits. I couldn't imagine starting this game as a new player and faced with paying 120+k for one end game health medpac
  13. One way I think the developers could help correct over inflated prices on the GTN is to use a graduated scale for the GTN tax. (Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it is just a flat percentage right now). The higher price of an item listed, the higher the tax.. Start out with like a basic 5% for lower cost items and add to the percentage at some specific break points. Like right now on my main server GTN a Superior Alacrity Augment 77 is priced at 550,000,000 credits on the high side, 545,000,000 credits on the low side. Slap a 50% tax on that puppy and see how fast the prices are reduced.
  14. I experienced this bug as well and this is what I did. 1. Get a companion command stim. I have a biochem guy so was able to craft a kyrprax purple one for my main.. but get the best one you can. Even if it is the one from the vendor right outside the door. 2. Work on the boss and and then the first group until the boss comes back. 2. work on the boss again, and then when the second group comes out, cc one of the snipers in the back corner, and have your companion attack the other. Then you attack the other as well, and take both of the sniper guys out. You'll probably also need to use a health medpac and whatever self heals you have. 3. Then work on the group that came in the main door area. If you can cc one of those mobs, do so. Edit: btw the guy I ran through this was only 279 Hope that helps. Good luck.
