  1. Not the same as being able to make make level 80 armorings, barrels, etc.
  2. My biggest problem with 7.0 gearing is that I can get to lvl 80, but I can't craft gear or gear upgrades for my lvl 80 characters. I don't expect to be able to create stuff equivalent to drops from operations, but I'd like the crafting progression to continue to max level. I don't think that's unreasonable.
  3. Nope. I'd much prefer a classless sandbox. Ultima online, SWG, and EVE online(before ftp) are by far the best mmorpgs ever in my opinion. I especially miss the crafting and housing in swg. I don't MIND dungeons or raids, but I really dislike player characters being made more homogeneous.
  4. Thanks for the info, everyone. Some of it doesn't really apply to my playstyle, but might be useful if I did group content(other than heroics/vet fp with my wife). Most of the time I'm soloing story or rep. I'm rarely playing a character that's lvl 75 or higher, and I craft gear upgrades every few levels because I prefer to make my own stuff. In fact, I wish we could still gear companions and had the original class specific stats back. I find that if I play dps and then try to switch to tank or healiing at max level then it makes it more difficult to learn how to properly play. Getting the tank/heal abilities as I level gives me time to learn how each ability works and interacts with each other. I also have to disagree that there's no group content while leveling. Black talon comes along at level 10. Well, it USED to, lol. Again, thanks for the input everyone.
  5. I CAN craft up to lvl75 though. I'm looking for stat ratios that i can maintain while leveling, not stat numbers at lvl 80. For example: X% shield, Y% absorb, Z% defense(so I can use those ratios to decide what gear and upgrades to craft every few levels, especially how many of what type of enhancement). 110% acc and 7.14 Alacrity don't really mean much when I'm crafting for a level 36 character.
  6. What about leveling healer? Tank? My original character was a healer merc, and way back when I remember guildies telling me to really push alacrity. Thanks for the example regarding Enhancements, I'll look those up and see about transposing those ratios to the other 2 roles.
  7. I still like to craft all my own gear upgrades. Can y'all help me out with target ratios for stats for tank/dps/ heal? That would really help me know how many of what type of enhancements to make for a given character every few levels(as opposed to being told 110% acc at lvl 80). I don't remember much of this stuff and what I know is probably outdated.
  8. Corso is awesome, he's a good ol' boy. Kaliyo is easily one of the most awful companions. She's reprehensible(Zenith is also a terrible person).
  9. Thanks. She hasn't gotten far enough in the season to unlock a whole set of armor, only a few pieces, and a couple of the cartel packs and a weapon or two. I want sure if she'll still have access to the few armor pieces and one or 2 weapons she got. She knows about equipping the whole set if its one from the CM(I mailed her a bunch of armor sets and mounts).
  10. Do the armor, mounts, and weapons(excluding cartel packs) that you get a session 2 rewards need to be equipped or are they automatic added to collections? If my wife got rid of a piece of shadow initiate armor or one of the guns without equipping(she's new to gaming, still learning) it is it lost forever?
  11. Maybe I don't have any interest in playing stealth. I shouldn't be forced to by mechanics that weren't in the game I bought.
  12. It's not the developers, it's the management. Management are the ones making the decisions, and I seriously doubt that they check the forums, much less ever actually play the game.
  13. That would be acceptable. Getting rid of scaling altogether would be preferable.
  14. They broke things that didn't need fixing, likely changing things just for the sake of saying they did SOMETHING. I agree with your assessment.
  15. I agree with you. Also agree that longer combat isn't necessarily better combat. I hate that level scaling forces me to fight all the trash that I should be able to run past, so this so called expansion is just salt in the wound because it makes getting through forced trash fights take even longer. Level scaling also negates the pieces of getting stronger than the enemies, and this update exacerbates that kick in the nuts by making us feel weaker the higher level we get because of the tertiary stat scaling and companion nerf. So no, this is bad because it ties to force people into content they have no interest in AND makes it even more of a slog. I'm hard pressed to think of a change for the better in 7.0 other than having good music at character creation again.
