  1. You just made my point. "Per server". That per server will no longer hold water which changes the terms of the purchase(s). Since I will now be only limited to one server. That is my point.
  2. Mechanically, and by design, currently server slots give me an additional slot per server (under the current circumstance where there are multiple servers). That's what it was, that's what I paid for. It's value, utility, and overall viability was defined by that fact and that circumstance. If BW doesn't maintain, or in some way, make up for the loss (because yes there would actually be a loss) than the server merge would turn a lot of players away. Essentially I'm being told I have to get even more character slots to have the SAME EXPERIENCE I already have right now(excluding subscriber benefits of course). Tell me how does that make sense and how that's justified? It's not, that's why I have asked whether or not I'll keep my slots or not. The answer should be yes.
  3. Getting the server slots was only viable because there were multiple servers. If I don't retain that with the new server, my purchases will have been devalued WITHOUT compensation. I should maintain the same freedoms I'd currently have if I were preferred on the new server once I go preferred once again. Otherwise it's literally being thrown in my face. Sure, I can still play all my characters, but I won't have the freedom to make more which is the entire point of buying server slots. It doesn't make sense for them to be able to maintain the characters but not the excess slots. I bought those slots. That's that.
  4. This cannot be correct since I paid for the current server slots I have (referring to my preferred cap). What you're saying is I'm essentially being robbed of what I paid for. Now, as it stands even on the current servers, if you're over the cap you have to choose which to activate and which to not. I understand that. But I'm not currently over the cap on any of the servers I'm on. This is due to the server slots I have purchased for myself. I should still have those slots available to me on the new server along with my pre-existing characters. Meaning, if I'm not over the cap on any of the current servers, I shouldn't be over the cap on the conglomerate server.
  5. Hey Devs (or anyone whom can answer this question), I just subscribed today after not being subscribed for a while. During the time I was not subscribed (and even during the times I was) I bought server slots so I could continue to play characters even after my subscription has ended. As it currently works now, if I buy and use a server slot it will increase my preferred cap by 1 on all servers. Which effectively enables me to play one additional character per server. As a result, what I've done, is make characters across multiple servers since I really REALLY enjoy making new characters. For me, personally, I invest a lot into my characters ahead of time (whether be on armor, weapons, etc etc) so they can be exactly what I want them to be. Additionally, I'm currently under my preferred status cap on most, if not all, of the servers I play on. This then leaves me with excess server slots that, as of right now, I can use. Assuming I didn't use them, will I still retain ALL of my server slots (and my characters) despite them being on different servers as a preferred? As a subscriber I know I won't have to worry but that is only a temporary circumstance. I want to ensure I'll still be able to play ALL my characters and still use ALL of my free slots for additional characters as a preferred. Currently, I believe, my preferred character cap is 15 or 16 per server. However, since we're migrating to one giant server will my preferred cap rise to 120 - 128 to accommodate for all my existing characters as well as all the available slots I have across the existing servers? I'd really appreciate an answer on this. Thank you
  6. Your legacy bank bug in regards to armor is uniform.... unless the armor is in individual pieces, you are unable to store it in your bank; Upper, Lower, Supplementary, or even the entire set box. Another bug I'd like to add to your list is the fact that all GREEN Versatile and resistive barrels/hilts from the gear vendors require Artifact Authorization when they should not because, again, they're green. Aside from that, you have a very nice list here
  7. I too only noticed this bug post-4.0. The original bug was that offhand weapons, when sharing a holster slot with the main (Ex. dual wielding the same vibrosword), would not show up at all. Now I'm experiencing the same bug where even the offhand weapons with a different holster slot are "stacked" upon and within each other in cut-scenes with the main-hand weapon as you described. Hopefully this, along with the hilt/barrel artifact authorization bug, will be fixed. At this point I am unable to level characters because I can't gear them
  8. After 4.0 dropped I got 4 of my characters to 65. Soon after my subscription expired, but I planned to still get my 59 Gunslinger to 65. However, the resistive and versatile barrels and hilts said that they required Artifact Authorization even though they were green. So I said "forget it" and made a new character that ended up being a marauder. I just now went to gear him up at level 18 and those same mods (of lower level of course) required artifact authorization even though, they too, were green. So now I can't, really, gear up my characters. I know this is a bug so please fix it. Thanks!
  9. Your "reasons" for not getting the game were already addressed months before the beta even was a possibility. DICE specifically said there would be no conquest (single player with AI inclusive), or in-depth space battles. Seeing as how those are your core reasons I can't see how you could have defended DICE before when they even said they wouldn't be giving you what you want. Now don't take this as me singling you out... you're not the only one with the same gripes. One of my friends is in the same boat. But, for both of you, you can't really judge something until that something has come to fruition. A beta is not that. Granted, your points are valid but are also irrelevant since those reasons aren't in Battlefront as DICE has said and as the beta has proven. Long-story short, it's not fair to judge something on what you want it to be over what it actually is. This is the far too common subjective way of looking at it. Plus, your reasons aren't a certainty... my friend brought up the possibility that EA/DICE could release DLC with both CQ, transitional CQ, AI CQ, and improved Space combat. Knowing EA, that wouldn't be any surprise.... but, at present, judgement rendered on the beta should have no solidarity in the full game. Moreover, Battlefront should be judged by what it is, not by what people think it should be. At SWC in Anaheim, the lead on Battlefront specifically said that the reason they called it Battlefront and not Battlefront III is because their Battlefront would be different from all the others. How can that hold true if it kept everything the other Battlefronts had? Everything that has been released about Battlefront to present has said that it was not going to be the same. But it seems apparent to me that people can't accept that simply because the game is called "Battlefront" which is a hardly tangible reason. Understandable, but not tangible since DICE had endeavored to redefine Battlefront. So, really, you're judging the entire game on little details that just didn't jive with you from 10% of the overall game you've played which only happened to be a beta. See the problem?
  10. 90% of the game is missing from the beta.... you literally are rendering judgement on only 10% that's currently playable. There's still 6 other multiplayer modes, each of which can occur on more than one map (those maps have yet to be even seen, let alone, played on). Missions has 2 additional modes, at least 2 additional maps, and 3+ additional difficulties. Not to mention the "secret" difficulties for getting all the holo-diamonds. In addition, the survival mode will actually be survival... so there's even more to experience in the content currently available to us right now. Which will also be available at release. But, like I should care, you're ruining it for yourself by making assumptions.... But I don't even think that matters because I doubt you would have gotten the game anyways. So, in essence, you're trying to ruin a game for others before it even comes out....
  11. For a Battlefront game, which it is, it's phenomenal! Granted, there's not all that much to do in the beta, but then again, it is only the beta. Another point I should make is that everyone here probably plays SWTOR for the story and unique single-player experience.... This is completely opposite to battlefront- so it's not meant to jive as it were. It kind-of bugs me that people will judge battlefront based on this game simply because they are both Star Wars. That's like trying to judge Battlefield (not battlefront) from Command & Conquer... it's an unfair comparison. For Battlefront fans, the new battlefront did the series justice. Then again, this is just the Beta. If you look at everything, there's A LOT more to do in the full game. So it seems people are trying to judge the game either based by how much content available or how it measures up subjectively with other current Star Wars games like SWTOR. Regardless, that's not how to assess a game.
  12. http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=8491153&postcount=222 My thoughts on the matter
  13. http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=8491153&postcount=222 That, pretty much, sums it up
  14. All of you who are complaining must be new to MMOs.... that being said, if you aren't new to MMOs than you would realize the investments (whether it be time, money, etc etc) that's now being rendered either entirely or wholly obsolete was inevitable. Therefore, you dug your own hole. In addition, to those who think 4.0 is gonna kill the game.... Stop being politicians. The game is not gonna die.... If anything, it's gonna die FOR YOU. That being said, the game doesn't revolve around you regardless if what you want is a mass shared opinion. So long as the new players coming in balance out the, excuse the language, *****-quitters, than there's nothing to get upset over. Now in terms of how badly things are being rendered obsolete or useless.... It could be MUCH worse. *cough* STO *cough*. Long story short, what are you all complaining about? All this uppity rabble is entirely frivolous. Of those who choose to complain, half say the devs don't care.... than what's the point?..... and the other half hope to force change around their collective but subjective concept of fun.... So I ask you look back to my original point. It's simple, either you play 4.0 or you don't. YOUR decision is nobody else's business and neither are your reasons. So, simply, play or don't.
