  1. Hurt anyone a little swag love would not... Hmmm, hmm?
  2. Does this mean there is going to be another ~5GB patch to download? :/
  3. ^^^ 5 hours on my day off... a bit of cc for a returning sub would be OK!
  4. lol me too. Folks in the Rothbard, Ron Paul, Hoppe, and Ayn Rand vein of economic thought conveniently forget the lawless past of the US, specifically the late 1800's and early 1900's where their policies were clearly shown to be complete failures. Specifically these are folks who claim our Democracy has been a failure, that the strong should rule the weak, and that their beliefs simply follow the "natural order" that already exists in the world. They claim to be libertarans and stand for freedom but their actions say something else entirely. They are only ever for their own freedom. They care not for the freedoms of others. From their perspective they are the only people that matter in this world and their actions are performed according to this central premise. Folks like Hoppe claim "There can be no tolerance toward those habitually promoting lifestyles incompatible with this goal. They the advocates of alternative, non-family centered lifestyles ... will have to be physically removed from society if one is to maintain a libertarian order." (sound familiar?) or Rothbard "democracy is not compatible with the purely free society" ... and now Ron Paul, a frequent key note speaker at JBS events, will keynote an event at Niagra Falls in early September with Roberto Fiore of the far right Italian Fascism party Forza Nuova. In short, these are folks that do not feel the rules of our society apply to them. They think that have the right to steal from others in our society because they can get away with it. To reiterate, they do not believe in Democracy or our country and it is born out by their actions and their words time and again.
  5. anyone know what one credit is worth in RL money? would be interesting to find out. would assist law enforcement with charges if there were any... petty theft is a misdemeanor in most jurisdictions by the way.
  6. so there was a conspiracy to defraud players of the money they invested into this game.. interesting.
  7. technically he stole money players had invested in the game when he refused to refund the credits that were invested in his "fund", thus making this a possible petty theft in the real world, perhaps more depending on the number of credits that Greenspan and his "friends" stole... bear in mind that there was no actual derivatives market here, merely something that Greenspan and possibly others contrived as a market...
  8. what derivatives market? a market technically requires more than a single security to operate... there was no market except what was between your ears. this was a scam and actually stole real world resources from players of the game...
  9. quoted again for redundancy and to be reported to Bioware as in-game fraud...
  10. the bottom line here, no matter how you attempt to sugar coat your involvement in this scam, is there was no market... you can't have a market with a single security, one originator and then just close up shop. that is the very definition of something that is exactly the opposite of a thriving market. what happened here was a scam, a theft. and for your involvement in this scam you should be banned, imo, permanently.
  11. The problem with your logic, or lack thereof, is that there was no stock market. One "hedge" fund does not a market make. You don't have a market with one security, one seller and no exchange oversight. There was no options market. You need more than one player trading securities to have a viable market. There was just some player posting lies on these message boards specifically to bilk other players out of their credits. This was a scam perpetrated by a thief. Nothing more really can be said about it.
