  1. Vidi Caelum novummmmm Terrra Novum aaaaAa DeoooOOooo Primum caelum abiiiiiiiit, Et prima terra abiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit Lulz! --I kill me!
  2. Guess some people are just SOL eh... Hrmm. Definitely not giving me the warm-fuzzies about being a customer. They must be using the Fashionable Male Customer Service Handbook!
  3. I have been trying to stay positive in general but I am starting to get concerned. NOT just because of a missing silly email gift, but I am losing confidence in the overall ability to effectively administer the game on all fronts currently. I have had growing concerns about many aspects of CS in general, stemming from when the in-game tickets were not working and NOTHING was officially said anywhere even acknowledging there was/is an issue. The direction of the games changes to the chapters. OK. Whatever, but subscribers still pay for the support infrastructure regardless of what the end product is, and something like in-game tickets not working needs to be at least acknowledged I would think. I honestly do not think that is unreasonable... I don't know what to think regarding how many months it should take for them to hit their stride rolling out the chapters. --Perhaps I am impatient. I know we are just starting out really, but if the latest chapter's release is an indicator, it seems we are now signed up for a content patch every month AND everything that comes with it. Where downtime is extended to all day when it drops, it has game breaking problems for some end users out of the box, needs A and B patches in the following weeks, now with new problems created by the update hopefully scheduled to be fixed in next month's patch (Maybe?). --At which time we will re-up on an entirely new set of issues from the next chapter's content patch. Setting aside regular maintenance, I think all MMO players know about content "Patch Day" right? (lol IE: don't schedule a raid ;p) but now It seems we can expect all that comes with a content patch day on a monthly basis vs once every few months. I don't know, I am just concerned the developers reach is extending their grasp now that we are live with the chapters. I do not envy them. Honestly I think they need to do every other month, but they can't because the chapters are just not enough content. It seems like these chapters should of been developed in addition to the normal MMO development, VS instead of it. --Not re-appropriate development resources to it. If you want to make money you need to spend money. If they expanded the team to create the chapter content it would of been on top of the "normal MMO" stuff and I honestly think it would of been more prosperous for the game long term. They also could have more maneuverability to delay them as needed. -But since this is the bulk of what we are getting for content they just can't. IDK. Maybe I am posting this just so someone can tell me not to worry! Either way, thanks for letting me get it off my chest. TLDR: I am worried about the game. Please tell me to be patient and not to worry!
  4. I too have not received them. BUT I noticed something when looking through past newsletter emails from a different old email account. I have not gotten ANY newsletter emails on my sub account. I am opted in on my account page for everything but I just do not get the Newsletter emails for my actual swtor account. Perhaps the newsletters were once only sent to canceled or non subbed accounts as marketing materials /solicitations exclusively? And along the way subbing or re-subbing flags them to stop? Just looking at the language in some of them it does kind of feel like marketing materials to get people to come back. But I can say I have not received at least the last several "Newsletter emails" on this, my subbed account, in comparison to an un-subbed account's newsletter emails. I am not high on the pecking order at work by any means, but I do Tech Support for a living and my Tech Sense is really tingling and I think I am on to something... There is probably a legacy thing where the "newsletters" were once just marketing material and reserved for non /ex subscribers or something. Sorry. I don't have much time. I know that is wishy washy.
  5. I am in the same boat as your beau. I have been opted in since... well, pre order I guess. The last email I received was the monthly cartel notification. Perhaps instructions will come down from on high regarding the correct course of action for subs in our situation. ¯\(°_°)/¯
  6. This is just a reality the OP should find a place for (unfortunately). However I think it is important to recognize the impact that behaviors like the OP speaks of can have on the game. I see a lot of opinions about lack of group content being developed, but every time someone is ripped to shreds and is turned off from participating in it, it helps justify that lack of group content focus. I understand that wiping because someone is making the same mistake over and over isn't fun and something needs to done, but I just hope that people who want group content consider that bringing people into the fold is important before snapping. As it is always easier to tear something down than build it up. The unseen fourth part of the MMO Trinity is the necessary humans to play the roles. So I hope if someone has their class/the encounters on lock they try to remember that they cannot do it alone before reacting to a frustrating situation. It reminds me of some old song lyrics: "You're perfect . Yes it's true. --But without me, you're only you."
  7. With returning players and the like I was thinking a sale on CM Consumables could be a good idea like legacy/player name changes & the like. Players making a "New Start" is the thought... Ty!
  8. I like the idea of a do or die mechanic for the higher or final boss(es). In fact I think the final boss should have three different versions of a do or die mechanic. Where the player would randomly get one of three mechanics to pass or fail . Perhaps not these mechanics exactly, but off the top of my head players could get a version of the boss with: --A long cast needing to be interrupted --A growing, pulsating AoE they need to get out of/break LoS --Small circles everywhere to avoid/make the player displace Maybe with a color coded aura or boss skin variation as a visual cue. Could be fun, create some "which did you get?" conversations, and could automatically give participants something extra in common to "deal with", which I feel can help foster player camaraderie. --This is even more of a half-baked idea, but through the process I was thinking we could get two similar new companions along the way and then have to make a choice which lives/dies. (Like twin droids or a bro/sis thang). A manufactured "choice that matters" for sure but just a thought. Probably a reach for this content, but maybe in some future chapter or w/evs... ¯\(°_°)/¯ P.S. Edit: Lolz I now realize my post may be a bit off topic for the thread technically. So ummm... Whatever everyone else thinks for rewards is cool with me.
  9. That's a good point. Just deleting is much easier. I feel silly now being compelled to report still for basically no reason. --I shall tell myself that I am not conceding defeat to those spamming sobs, just tactically retreating!
  10. I was able to submit an item/loot ticket and it populates in my tickets. --But based on what other people are experiencing I have no idea if it was actually received and when it could be addressed. If you are on your free week still and have not technically re-subbed that could have something to do with it. As it is my understanding that only subs can do in game tickets (but that may be old information). Although I wouldn't be surprised If you are both on the free week AND already re-subbed if it still didn't work. ¯\(°_°)/¯ IMO even if I am not personally experiencing it, if there is a problem with the support avenues and it is not immediately added to the known issues/addressed in a timely manner that is a deal breaker for me. Reinvent the entire game. w/evs. I will play or pass. BUT either way subs still pay for and need support. If they can't do that they need to hang it up.
  11. Enough is enough with the mail spam IMO. I only want mail from people on my friends list, in my guild, my alts, or official mail from "the game". End of story. If I want to do business via mail I'm confident me and the other party can handle adding each other (if only temporarily). In my mind there is no reason not to do this.
  12. I too have experienced this. Lulz it is like she is just not impressed by our feeble attempts at gift giving. Which almost works with her general attitude. Even so, if chat just had her saying " ... " or something it would be better than crickets.
  13. Mission: CLASS Basic Gear: Jedi Knight Tasks Complete [WEEKLY] Section X Crisis Complete [WEEKLY] Black Hole Crisis Complete [WEEKLY] Mass Exodus Reward: 12.240 Credits 100 Common Data Crystals Completed Mission "Taking Back Talaos" To Complete [WEEKLY] Mass Exodus Which should of completed Class Mission Basic Gear: Jedi Knight But it did not complete the mission. Nothing too major, but I was out doing heroics so I figured I would clear this out from sitting in my mission log and snag some crates or something with the crystals. http://i.imgur.com/VQw6tqD.jpg Tried to do an in game ticket too, but there was a problem submitting each time I tried. Thanks!
  14. Looks like it is. Thought it was wonky for some reason. Well if companions ruin the challenge for some, short of not using them clicking off skills maybe worth a shot. ¯\(°_o)/¯
