  1. I /bugged it in game and later received an email saying it had been passed to the development team for review. I don't dispute what you say, but I guess my point is that it didn't happen prior to 1.3 (not to me, ever). So was it bugged before and fixed now?
  2. Have you bugged it already? If not, I'll do it tonight.
  3. Anyone experiencing a problem with Resilience over the last few days? Three times now, twice on Sunday, and once last night, I was stun locked with Resilience up. Not at the end or beginning that might be easily explained by lag, but in the middle (5 second version). Has anyone else experienced that lately? First two were Huttball and last one was ACW. First time for me, btw.
  4. I think my view of Infiltration Shadows is pretty close to that of Mr. Peckenpaugh. But with that said, I'm not the doofus that designed it.
  5. You misunderstand Mr. Peckenpaugh. It seems clear he doesn't want ANYONE to play an Infiltration Shadow.
  6. Infiltration Shadow How I perceive it. 1) Not a team spec. Brings no utility to the team. Too squishy compared to other DPS classes that do that role better. How others perceive it (Austin Peckenpaugh): 1) Not a team spec. Doesn't bring anything to a team. Designed to be as much as 10% off DPS spec of other DPS classes. Should be a lone wolf in a team based MMO. Does that about sum it up? I would say we just about have a convergence here.
  7. There are actually several tidbits we can take away from the Designer's comments. First, Shin has already mentioned. In a game based on team play, even the Designers admit that Infiltration Shadows are not a team play AC. Second, take note of the within 5% of their targets. Here's the thing about targets with variances. That's plus or minus. So in reality the difference between a Shadow's performance and another DPS class could be 10% (as designed, player ability notwithstanding). Shadow performs 5% below the target while the other AC performs 5% above it. And the Designer implies he is ok with that. Third and finally, apparently you must be a super player to even hit within their 5% variance. Otherwise, as he clearly states, the problem is you. It's a learn to play issue. I would get perturbed but I unsubbed when they announced the specifics of 1.3. I'm on their time now.
  8. And if it did, The Tide will avenge you guys. Next time, we'll not let LSU cross the 50 even once.
  9. I did some testing tonight and there seems to be a problem with Exit Strategy. Using test dummies on Daragon the higher damage on average came from Exit Strategy with 1 or 2 stacks rather than 5. Five stacks almost always gave crappy results. Has anyone else experienced this? Run of bad luck or bug?
  10. You have seen? So either you don't include yourself in the pool of "good infiltrators" or you don't play an Infiltrator. In either case...next.
  11. I wouldn't be so sure, after all, their recommendation to anyone unsubbing is to just make a different character. If Infiltrator dies a slow lingering death, I doubt they could care less. From their perspective, if it dies, it's because everyone found a "another" character to play and must be happy.
  12. MiaRB, yes, I understand that is what BW is saying. My point is that the changes being made are affecting both communities. And it is my perception that BW makes sweeping changes to both communities based solely on input from one or the other.
  13. Why should the discussions of PvE vs PvP be separated by users when BW doesn't separate the two when it comes time for them to make changes to the class?
  14. Just as he described it? I don't either, but Ultima On-line essentially allowed this capability on their test servers over 15 years ago. DAoC, also similar capability. Both let you create a character, get auto-leveled (/set Magery 100, anyone?), and geared. In UO you could change specs on the fly (I don't remember if you could do that in DAoC but I suspect you could). Apparently it's not that hard.
  15. I'm not at all implying that the sky is falling. I've just realized that BW is heading in the wrong direction and they have been on that downhill slide generally since launch. I think most anyone that has played a Shadow for any length of time would agree that Infiltration needs some tweaks to make it more survivable and provide it more group utility. They've done neither, and arguably, with 1.3 they are going in the opposite direction; they are making Infiltrators less functional. Have they destroyed the class? No, but it all has to be looked at through the bigger lens and the direction they are going. Where will it stop? Consulars are the only class that got nothing from Legacy, or another way to look at it, we are the only class that lost an ability in Legacy. They keep doing this stuff and we as a community just say, ok, well, I'll give it another try. As long as we keep saying that, they'll keep taking. So I've voted with my wallet. There are a lot of other reasons, general in nature and not specific to Shadows but it all adds up.
