  1. Not that anyone needed an update, but my group’s moved to Final Fantasy. A lot of other people we raid with swapped too. So that’s that, subs are cancelled, maybe we’ll be back when R4 comes out, but now that I’ve seen the sheer amount of raid content that Final Fantasy has available, it’s probably too little too late.
  2. Well that's the thing, it doesn't matter if the stuff gets easier in a couple months after they release R4 if my whole team moves to FF14 or something in the next couple of weeks. People don't stick around on the promise of "Oh don't worry, this is how expansions go, we'll let you go back to progging the content you were on last expansion eventually". It's not like they gave us any new content to do either, because they forgot to release the actual expansion with this expansion, so R4 still isn't out, and everyone's just sitting twiddling their thumbs with gear that's undertuned compared to what we should have because the best gear isn't in the game yet. Yeah, we can clear legacies, but we cleared legacies about 100 times each last expansion, if not more, and it's just sad. Can only do it so many times before you want to do something else.
  3. So to start this off, my raid group raided A LOT in 6.0. We would raid 3 hours a day on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and during the last 2 months of 6.0 we raided almost every day in order to push and kill NiM Apex Vanguard before the patch dropped. We got it with two days left, and everyone was pretty hyped, killing one of, if not the hardest boss in the game. We planned on getting back into it and maybe going for Gods or Dxun timer once we regeared and relearned our classes. Now though, the scaling is so disastrous that even the legacy ops are barely clearable. I don't even think that NiM Gods or Dxun have been recleared by the best team on our server. Two of our DPS can't play their main class because the classes literally don't perform well enough to clear some of the bosses. SO now we're down to two days and 2 hours each day, and we're pretty much only running to hang out with each other, because we're certainly not doing it for the thrill of clearing HMs and occasional legacy NiMs. Our entire raiding guild is losing people too. Everyone's still hanging out in Discord, but if you log into the game outside raid hours? Maybe two people are online, if that. If something isn't done, everyone's literally just gonna leave, and it's sad, because everyone still enjoys the game, but not like this. That's my rant, if you want to call it that, more just me being sad that the game's gotten so awful so quickly, and Bioware hasn't even given a hint that they care.
  4. Is this a joke? I literally posted the Bioware forum post where they told people about this system, AND I quoted it in my post, here it is again
  5. Referencing this post https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=1000825 It's not an "exploit", it's an intended mechanic for people to not get dupes of items they don't want. Now stop complaining and enjoy your gear. There are enough ACTUAL problems that the devs need to fix already.
  6. Was discussing this on the theorycrafter discord with someone, not sure if it's actually been reported or not yet. Jugg is just completely missing their 5% DR on Riposte, which is PRETTY important. Guardians have it, their ability was updated to include the shield on Cyclone and the Riposte DR on the same passive. Juggs didn't get updated though, they have the shield on Force Scream, but they're completely missing the RIposte passive, which again, is a pretty big problem. Would hope this will get fixed ASAP so that I'm not punished for picking the impside equivalent of what should be identical classes.
  7. That one isn't actually a daily. To get it, you have to finish the Iokath story quests, and at the end of the questline you get that quest as an introduction to the Iokath daily quest system. If you skip the story every time you get to Iokath, you need take a toon that hasn't done it yet and go through the story.
  8. In terms of the actual mechanic, they're wrong obviously, you can hit all of them at the same time and be fine. In practice though, you want to kill each Dread Master as fast as possible to stop the damage going out from being overwhelming. So really you don't want to be using any frivolous AoEs (a DoT spread is fine right as the first one is dying, but other than that no) because it'll keep them all alive longer than they have to be, which means that you have a larger chance of getting overwhelmed and wiping before you kill any of them.
  9. Am I missing something here? It doesn't look like Shadow Tanks have lost anything important, and they're also getting a buff to their Kinetic Ward. Meanwhile, Guardian has lost at least 2 important DCDs, and almost all of their new passives relate to the damage they do, only one makes them even a little bit tankier. Why are we doing this? Shadows are already the preferred class for almost every NiM boss because of how potent their DCDs are for resisting certain mechanics, and now we're making them stronger while nerfing the alternative? (And no, PT isn't really an alternative when we have mechanics like Contagion that they can't cleanse, it's not worth the effort)
  10. Depends how good your DPS were, in Vet mode you can push him into the vent phases quickly enough to skip his smashes, he definitely does still smash though, I ran a Vet LI 2 days ago
  11. See, but why does your hate of a "boring skill" need to dictate my fun when we could just keep them? Most people don't like Freezing Force, but it's one of my favorite abilities when combined with the utility that gives it a speed boost. I run a lot of NiM ops as a tank, and while most people don't need it, I think having an on-demand speed boost that isn't tied to a DCD is really nice in a lot of fights. I enjoy being able to click that skill, do a cool little animation around my character, and then be faster than I was before. If you want to take that fun away from me because you don't think having choices matters, that's just weird.
  12. I did it on a Jugg day 1. You can mount up in that area, and the rest is just figuring out the shortest path. You could've also just left the FP and reset your instance if you messed up.
  13. I said this in another thread, but to the people who are saying we shouldn't complain because it's too early, they didn't ask us to give feedback on their system 3 months from now, they asked us to give feedback on the current PTS iteration, and currently, the PTS completely guts a lot of peoples' favorite class. That isn't okay, so people are going to complain. Yes, it might get better, but people don't have to ignore what's right in front of them because it MIGHT get better
  14. But the issue here is, they didn't ask us to give feedback on their system 3 months from now, they asked us to give feedback on the current PTS iteration, and currently, the PTS completely guts a lot of peoples' favorite class. That isn't okay, so people are going to complain. Yes, it might get better, but people don't have to ignore what's right in front of them because it MIGHT get better
  15. Yeah, I already said a bit earlier, but I mean this is silly. Most of my time nowadays is spent NiM raiding since that's the hardest content left to do. Nobody in the community that I know has ever asked for FEWER abilities, LESS choices, and so on. This just feels really shortsighted, and I don't even know if I'm gonna want to keep tanking NiM Ops if they remove half of my skills. Currently, I use EVERY single ability on my bar in one way or another. Yes, even Freezing Force (I like the speed boost utility). Removing all my options just removes a good portion of the fun out of things.
