  1. You have your opinions on the game and I have mine. They differ. Time will tell which opinion is more common. Though based on current sales direction I would say that the bloom is off the rose. Not looking to get into a back and forth with someone who cannot see the game objectively. Have a nice day.
  2. I have never said I cancelled. I don't mind when folks disagree with me, but please don't lie. Feel free to look at my posts.
  3. I get it. I just think that the estimates at vgchartz are a pretty good indication of the direction of game sales. More so now than in the past. I just find it curious that folks were pointing to vgchartz at launch when sales were high and now say they aren't valid because sales look awful. That's all. P.S. You will be happy to know I have cancelled. I do hope the game improves and will check back in the future, but for now it just isn't a game I enjoy. Just wish I would have cancelled prior to my new month activating so I still have 21 days.
  4. Seems that when compared with what sales figures were released at the EA earnings call that they are in the ballpark. Considering that the analyst community, including those that are favorable on TOR, use them as a good indication of actuals I would say that you are not giving the estimates enough credit. So yes, 26,000 copies isn't exactly setting the world on fire. The good thing though is it seems sales have stopped plummeting. P.S. How does one get a video game sales bonus (kinda hard typing that out with a straight face) in a market where all games sales have plummeted? Sounds a bit fishy.
  5. Not only have the forums been mishandled, as evidenced by the strong-arm tactics of the forum moderators, but the design decisions regarding the game have been poorly managed. BW has created a MMO that has no 'hook' in the MMO genre. Nothing that keeps MMO players coming back for more. Nothing that would keep players willing to pay $15 a month. The game has become 'The Alt Republic', an MMO that relies on rerolling alts since a main will not keep you occupied at max level. I am shocked that a game with this level of visibility and budget would be lacking in so many areas. I am trying to hold out hope that the dev team can turn things around, but I have not seen any evidence of that yet. I wish I had not bought into the hype and bought a CE version of this game. I just don't see anything that leads me to believe that this game will be anything but a bit player, a footnote, in the history of MMOs.
  6. Unknown. It is an estimate from vgchartz which is what all the Wall Street analysts use. Before you attack me, the actual sales at the earnings release call by EA and the estimate from VGchartz were pretty close. If you want to look at the trend here it is. This is global: Global First Ten Weeks (Units) Week Ending Week Weekly Change Total 24th December 2011 1 1,453,494 N/A 1,453,494 31st December 2011 2 316,194 -78.2% 1,769,688 07th January 2012 3 111,762 -64.7% 1,881,450 14th January 2012 4 67,742 -39.4% 1,949,192 21st January 2012 5 58,722 -13.3% 2,007,914 28th January 2012 6 48,748 -17.0% 2,056,662 04th February 2012 7 34,818 -28.6% 2,091,480 11th February 2012 8 27,799 -20.2% 2,119,279
  7. Because they don't want people see to see the actual numbers.
  8. Really? That is the best you can do? Help me understand how this is such a successful game when it sells 6,100 copies in the US last week? I am open to interpretation.
  9. So anecdotal is better? I prefer to consider that TOR sold 6,000 copies last week in the US as a measure of how things are going.
  10. Please take a look at current sales. It is going to be tough to maintain what you are quoting.
  11. Just giving my feedback. I didn't realize agreement was a condition for posting.
  12. Come on peeps.....I see some weak comparisons
  13. I have a bunch of problems with this game but migraines on Hoth is not one of them. Not saying you aren't experiencing them but I can say I am not.
