  1. Yeah good point, I didn't mean solo queuers in pvp per se, considering I'm also a solo queuer a good amount of the time I'm in pvp as well. I'm def talking more about the mindset of certain players who aren't really interested in the mmo aspect of the game and want to avoid dealing with other ppl. I've even seen ppl say that they love the game except for the fact it's an mmo lol. I assume some of those types are definitely entering pvp these days so they can get the rewards from the seasons and pvp track. The types who are in 312 greens and queueing for warzones because they don't need bis gear for most of the content they do. But when they get into pvp are just demolished...which if their on ur team ur at a disadvantage, and if they are against u it's not even fun to fight them because they melt.
  2. It is the way it works for someone who actually enjoys pvp and WANTS to learn to be a better player. I've had similar experiences to others in this thread where I've reached out to players who are playing my main class and tried to give them advice. Normally I'm told they are just casual players and they don't want advice. A few weeks ago tho, a player I see often was being chatty with me so I started offering them some advice and they were extremely greatful for it, in fact they told me they were hoping I'd share some pointers with them. I went to their stronghold and spent like an hour teaching them a rotation which they weren't using before. The next day they thanked me and said they'd seen their dmg numbers improve massively, and pvp was so much more fun because of it. The issue atm with swtor is that the devs have focused so much on the rpg aspect of the game, they've let the mmo part of it fall by the wayside. I didn't know a thing about pvp when I first started playing this game, my guildmates taught me to be a good player. Most of the time the teaching part doesn't happen in game, it's more of a thing that happens in a guild discord channel among guildmates. Solo players want to be left alone, but the people who still enjoy the social aspect of the game are more willing to listen in my experience.
  3. I just got the Meksha one as well it does help to have extra ppl for that because gold mobs keep spawning repeatedly, again probably not necessary but helpful to do it with a few friends.
  4. The fleet datacrons you need at least 6 people iirc. Other than that I think you can do most of them solo. The Rishi datacron is faster if you have more people but it's not completely necessary. Although I would definitely advise getting at least 3 for Rishi because you have to farm grophets in 3 seperate locations and it's an all day long thing to find the one you need. So having 1 person at the 3 diff locations is going to save you a lot of time. Off the top of my head those are the only ones I can think of that require more than 1 person. I did all of the other ones solo. I might be forgetting something tho so maybe someone can chime in and tell me I'm wrong lol.
  5. Didn't they just announce that 7.5 was coming in spring 2024? They actually mentioned the month of April but I don't see how that's possible so I assume in May at some point we get 7.5....and it has balance changes and they fix as much qol for pvp as they can. I have def already lost a ton of hope for any new content but they at least need to listen to the community and make some changes.
  6. It's been a topic of discussion for a long time now. If 7.5 comes and goes and they don't make any real changes to pvp, that's a pretty clear sign they are on auto pilot at this point. So it's basically take it or leave it. I still have wayyy too much fun in pvp regardless but I can see how the casual pvper is being driven away from the mode because of bad decisions.
  7. I said in my initial post that if ur solo and avoiding premades it probably works, again I've never tried it. I was mainly talking about your advice on how to match up against another premade if you want to, and I can confirm the advice you gave doesn't work the majority of the time. Issuing a challenge hardly ever works because you have to have two 8 man groups and a big premade is normally 5 - 6 people at most. Even leaving the group challenges out of the equation, if you queue almost the same exact time as another premade, the wonky matchmaker usually doesn't match you up for whatever reason.
  8. This does not work matchmaker is extremely broken right now. I mentioned in another thread I spent two nights in a big premade trying to queue sync with another big premade and out of maybe 10 matches played, while trying to sync the queue the whole time, we got the other big premade twice. But yeah its the way I'd assume it works but it still doesn't. If ur solo queue that probably does work for dodging big premades. Can't confirm cuz I've never been bothered enough to try tho.
  9. Here's where we disagree. What u are basically saying is that getting the achievement is tantamount to a participation reward, u want the chievo simply by sleep walking your way through the season. It's exactly why pvp players like myself are upset with the pvp seasons because it doesn't reward people who win matches all you have to do is queue and win or lose you can get all the rewards. In this instance yes if you really want that little box clicked off in ur legacy tab then maybe u should grind a bit more than the casual. The rep track had traditionally been achievable just by working your way through the season. However, things that were tied to the achievements have also traditionally been associated with a grind ie finishing 100 weeklies. So I don't see a massive departure in the way seasons are working here. I do agree tho that these fragments should have a higher drop rate, because at this point the achievement seems unattainable even for people who want it.
  10. Have the devs addressed this at all yet? I could imagine if they see nobody even nearing the objective they'll make some tweaks. Brazzes gift or whatever doesn't work either? Idc about trash or the gear drops so I hardly ever loot unless it's a yellow, but I swear I've picked up extra blueprints here and there.
  11. Define what u mean by halfway through the season. Doesn't the season go for 5 months or so? Don't think we even a month in at this point. Do you mean half way through the rewards track. Anyways on topic its a pointless grind for the blueprints just for an achievement. I'm not an achievement type person so I usually just ignore that aspect of stuff, especially if there's not a tangible reward behind it. The title you get from seasons is way better anyways, and iirc it's not tied to grinding the trash.
  12. Yeah damn instead of finishing 6 weeks early I might only finish 5 weeks early 😂😂
  13. People are up in arms because it's an underhanded tactic to force more of a grind. Let's look at context, we get very little new content. 2 dungeons in the last 5 years. Every 6 months or so we get a bit of story and a daily area. So what have they done to keep players busy...gear grind. As opposed to past expansions where a new gear cap is released upon expansion and there's one grind they decided to continually increase the gear rating throughout the expansions, giving players busy work to accomplish in between the small story updates we get. How do you get gear? By grinding conquest for tech frags and conquest comms. So they raised the cap from 50k to 100k...more grind. Then as the grind was palatable with the rep token, they remove it, which equals...you guessed it more grind. They've trained the players to grind for gear, they've trained them to play alts. Then they go and make changes that effect the amount of time it takes you to accomplish those things. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that the only reason for these changes are to purposely stunt player progress in order to keep them logged into the game longer to do inane tasks. Again if there were actual content I have no problem spending all day playing an mmo. But when they've created all these systems that revolve around old content for ur char to make progress in the game....it's not a surprise players are up in arms.
  14. I think ur a little confused. Why do u think people grind conquest? Just to stare at the worthless points at the end of the week and admire their work? Lol 😂😂
  15. It was one char per day so the most you could get weekly was around 350k per legacy which is a drop in the bucket. But regardless I don't really understand why the devs or any player would be anti-login to play the game lol. Players are already doing a ton of gameplay to finish conquest this was just a supplementary thing that when taken away only angered ppl. Keep in mind they also increased conquest goals per char from 50k to 100k, so as you can see loyal players who are grinding conquest, only view a move like this as an underhanded method by the devs to get them to grind even more. If it was fresh new content so be it, but the content is old and stale in many cases.
