  1. FIX PVP ----------------- Give everyone full Battlemaster when reaching 50, and work on having things in order for the next level expansion-- AHEAD of TIME!! Make PVE gear from pve the best FOR PVE, and Make PVP gear only useable in PVP... What ever level you are, just step in the PVP locker-room and pick your damn set! Then the people playing might actually be there to P V P !!!!!!! Separate these 2 game concepts ffs... it's killing every MMO trying to balance them-- there's no damn need too! You do this, I might have a reason to re-sub, otherwise I'm enjoying my time elsewhere... actually...don't do it... I really am enjoying my time... Edit: and oh yeah... since you made world PVP you pretty much locked out the option to fix things, so have fun!
  2. Fix pvp -------------- give everyone full battlemaster gear and let skill sort them out. Make it only useable in pvp. Then only people who actually want to pvp will do so.... Case fckng closed....
  3. this goes for RE as well... it shouldn't take longer to "luck" into a schematic for a lvl 49 purple than it does to PVP for gear to run hardmodes and get a better item to drop. 25 blue belts and counting, not even a consulation prize of a augment slot yet... I guess I might as well just run hard modes for the exotic crafting mats.... oh wait, I need better gear to run hard modes.... hrmmm....
  4. Does that persist through death and then stop the timer while you're in spawn, because usually after being stunned twice -- I'm usually focused and dead b4 that freedom would matter much. Also, is the lift+choke CC not considered a stun? I've broken out of CC with a full white bar and then been immediately force choked while i watched my white bar drain away.
  5. Well, maybe they should do like WOW and make an option to turn off xps... everyone could stop at 20 and 40 depending on their preference (I say 20 and 40 because there's orange gear for everyone from the pvp vendors at those levels)... make 10-20, 21-40,41-49, and 50s brackets. Keep the bolster system in place, for those still leveling through the brackets, it would still help. This way, gear could be capped at different stages... and at least then it would only be an unfair fight due to unmirrored abilities per class... At least the Imps "skill" level would only be boosted by the superior attacks they have been given, and not by the "skill" gear they have been given as a result of the higher percentage of wins they've received from said advantages. The thing I liked about locking in a toon at lvl 19 in WOW was... If I wanted to play a different class in PVP than the character I developed for a meaningful purpose in PVE... I could level one up to 19 in no time, and be ready to pvp!
  6. Blame WOW... Horde started pvp with the advantage of Shamans, Undeads racial ability, BiS items faction only, etc.... the advantages produced quicker gains in victory rewards until they became dominant... Which in turn made Horde dominant, and the clear choice for anyone not wanting to be pwned throughout their gaming experience was to roll horde. Even though horde wasn't technically classified as "evil", the character appearance said otherwise... This has carried over into SWTOR... people chose empire, betting on the pvp advantage-- and they got it. Even if not by skill but by sheer numbers they are getting it. oh and I guess blame Spaceballs too, as I quote "Evil will always triumph, because good is dumb." So choosing the Evil faction somewhat guaranteed an edge in the PVP aspect of the game... bugs and unmirrored classes with Imp advantaged benefits, cemented that edge, which will now be extremely difficult to repair. The frustration, and "defeatist" attitude from Republic is coming from an awareness that the choice to play the faction they wanted to, rather than join the bandwagon... is coming with all too familiar consequences... Granted in WOW there were allegedly some servers/battlegroups out there that Alliance was dominant, but in my 5 years of PVP misery I was unable to find one until I had lost interest in leveling yet another character to get a balanced pvp experience. If my 50 has to be 2 shotted over and over for 6 months, just to get the gear that my rapists have already upgraded from (since they all exploited their first set) it's not difficult to see this as a punishment for choosing the wrong side in what was supposed to be MIRRORED.
  7. I don't think it's the turrets... I think its the Imps bringing Rep alts to get farmed over and over for no diminishing returns.... kill trading + random unfortunate Rep's that stepped into the blender by mistake... and can't get out...
  8. This is untrue... take the PVE aspect out of the actual PVP experience -- make everything per class generic other than appearance, make each class have a customizable loadout of maybe 5 abilities they can switch to (for example: mousewheel to change weapon) and just click to fire... drop targeting for crosshairs but keep the reward system for PVE benefits of some kind... Just picture Quake3Arena or TF2 with casters, lazorrs, and sabers...etc.!
  9. If any of these MMO's would make the PVP side of things in the playstyle of vanilla TF2 they would double the game's life expectancy.... Instead of LVL/Gear = Skill, teams would be equal in abilities per class... with maybe 5 abilities to switch to like changing from gun to grenade, healing to melee...etc. Tanks would be heavies, casters would be medics/demos, smug's/Ops would be scouts/snipers, engies well that could be a new class they introduce for later... My point is, WOW and SWTOR are huge environmental PVE based games by design-- if you want serious competitive PVP, there are games built just for that. If you want ENJOYABLE PVP for ALL it needs to be more arcade style than this. I'd love to apply Quake3 or TF2 style gameplay to this game or WOW's character system. I really think it would be much more fun for many more people... and honestly-- when TF2 started making too many new changes that made it more like this type of "grind for stuff to keep it fun", I stopped playing TF2...
  10. Even if you couldn't transfer the alt, people would still play em just to be in game while they wait to get to their main servers....
  11. Too bad they cant make a que and play system.... que for your server and play on a less populated one while you wait... then when things are leveled out, free xfers of the alt you were killing time on. That would solve lots and make many people very happy.
  12. by the time i read a page there's 2-3 more after it. lol
  13. I'm assuming it's by the day your pre-order CODE was REGISTERED, not by when you officially confirmed the pre-order purchase... which for me was earlier, but my code went active on August 10th 2011 at 10pm.
  14. the pages are coming faster than i can read them....
