I'm certenly going to play a good character through and through, be it a trooper, smuggler and so on but i'm just wondering if - like kotor - the alignement towards dark and light still has a effect on your characters appearance? Aka, will he/she who does evil things for too long have grey veiny skin? And vice versa will you appear more inspiring if you go down the path of the light?

Seeing the effects i'm quite stunned, i'm really not sure if my blessed PC can handle them, and for that reason i hope i can force persuade on of you fine people to hand over yours! O.o

As long as those going the dark path don't look like zombies, though a bounty hunter going to the dark path shouldn't look like a pale figure. I hope they just make it yellow eyes and not the kind that will look like a zombie who forgot to eat brains.

I liked the Smuggler class from the RPG, but I never messed with it in KotOR. I think it will be a fun, yet challenging class for people to play and master.

I wonder why everybody keeps going on talking about conter classes. In my opinion, they won't be anny. I mean, it's obvious that Bioware doesn't really care to have the same classes on both sides. If they wanted that, they would have done something like WOW, and make all classes available on both side. But they didn't, they want each classes to be unique.
So the Bounty Hunter clearly is not the conter classes of the Trooper. They really are to differents. I mean, one blows things up, and the other... well, blows things up. But dude, his flying !
If I'm right, we can stop basing our guess for the future classes on those who already exists. So for all who says that there will be a Sith assassin as a equivalent of the smuggler in the Sith Empire, I say "people, the Assassin and the Smuggler wont have anything in commun, except maybe a light armor"
The smuggler is a guy that jumps everywhere and gets out of anything with a nice catch phrase. The Assassin would be more discret, a guy in the shadows, and wearing a cloaking device. You'll never know he's here until his stick is stuck in your thorax. Something like that.
As for the Jedi/Sith polemic, well we can't imagine them to be the equivalent of one another. It's two different view of the Force. And remember the Powers on KOTOR. The Light Side had Stunning powers, the Dark had Lightnings. One had Healing abilyties, the other had Life-Stealing powers. It's really two different types of fighting.

I agree with you. People keep talking about there's going to be a Mandalorian class which I highly doubt. One quick question. Can I hit you with a shovel? *Pulls out shovel and proceeds to tests its weight before swinging it like a baseball bat at Cassuss's head.*

I hope they let you play as a droid too, the HK series in KOTOR would be a great "race" for Bounty Hunters.

I would be surprised if they had that many races, but that would be incredible if they made them all.

Are they going to have choices other than human?
They have only shown human as playable as far as I've seen, but I would be kinda disappointed if humans were the only playable race. I would love to play as a Nautolan.

That would give the game more than enough diversity, even if they left out a couple for future expansions or whatnot. I just wanna see Wookie, Bothan, and Kel Dor (though I doubt Kel Dor will be there). Long as I get more than 4-5 Races I'll be content though.

I'll probably play as this one and be as neutral as possible. I've been drawn to play as characters who are neutral because I honestly don't see a real difference playing as good or evil. I just hope I can be neutral with this one. :D

Playin as good or evil has more to do with story or appearance than anything in most games.

Everyone will play the smuggler, eventually. After finishing your favourite class, you'll pick up your second favourite and so on. Since it's an MMO*RPG*, there is an end by definition, isn't it?! (Hey, I am a newbie). What do you do after succeeding the first branch of the story-work? Pick up the next...(maybe after replaying your favourite class a few times).

Im assuming that the smuggler and bounty hunter class will be considered in a neutral class? They are independent, they are not supporters of either side. They dont side with the republic or the sith.

Nope, as of right now they appear to be sided. The developers have stated that there will be no "neutral" classes.

Definitely considering being a smuggler. The whole "sneak around, shoot first, then get out" play style is one I've adopted in most MMOs.

Can't wait when they unveil the Jedi and Sith class, this game is to be so freakin' great!!!!!!!! I don´t know if there is goig to be a Sith Trooper class or not, but ,for the Sith Empire I can only think on Sith and Bounty Hunter, and the other two? In the other hand, for the Republic we have the Trooper, Jedi and Smuggler, and one is missing. Just stayed tuned with the site and things will come clear.

As of right now I don't see any reason why not to be a Smuggler.

Is anyone else upset that Smugglers are allied to a faction? I was really hoping I could roll an undeclared smuggler. That way I would really open up my market! I suppose it makes sense that Smugglers are Rebels but they really shouldn't be aligned to anyone but themselves. Any thoughts?

i have a bit of a problem with that but right now im just going to see where this all heads and see George Lucas' "Grand Scheme" for this game, then im going to complain about everything they shouldve done right but didnt.

i believe they stated something about the sith not allowing the smugglers to operate and the republic having really know problem with them seeing as it was smugglers who broke the mandalorian blokade. so im thinking smugglers are siding with the republic because theyll let them operate more freely.

i hope that the counterpart class to the smuggler is a mandalorian
they're probably the closest strategical counterpart that can kill a jedi with a gun and by far the best soldiers in the galxy
