damn this is pretty sick wondering what class is going to become tank

ok first of all troopers wouldnt stand a chance against a dark jedi even in a fight wit 4 troopers dark jedis rnt tht stupid to be alone so a fight with 4 djs and 4 troopers dark jedis would win without question and the dark jedi class is my fav so far

Awesome to see that they're trying to make non-force classes into legitimate threats, keep things fair. But I think we all know the Star Wars math equation: Force > no Force. Bottom line.

jibbs i have played battlefront 2 and i usually win the trooper is gonna be able to kill force alot cuz most ppl will be playing melee class (jedi/sith) while ur stealing all the kills at a ranged or run up gunbut come back anything can happen.

Its good to know that they will do their best to make the classes balanced, but this was already gona be the class i was gona play as soon as i saw their name. I dount even know what on earth you people are talking about when you say that they cant handle sith, have none of you played battlefront 2, the only the only differnce between troopers and jedi is the trooper's range, both are best played when the player uses timeing and skill. If any one wants me to help prove my point further to the sith(any class is welcome) when the game comes out, message me and add me to freinds or what ever this web site has that is simular (I am on the eastern time zone)

A squad of well-played Republic Troopers trudging along, and mowing down any Sith in their path at the same time, would be pure awesomeness.

Because a Ranged DPS class with Heavy Armor is a huge threat to a melee class.

They have certainly made a class which will be packing a lot of firepower. Until some Force lightning rains down on them.

Hey, you guys at BioWare and LUCASARTS said that this game is based thousands of years before the rise of Darth Vader. Wasn't the trooper created during the existence of Anakin Skywalker, whom which becomes Darth Vader. So how can there be a trooper in the game, if they didn't exist yet? or i may be wrong and this could be an entirely different trooper, but still, the Armour that the trooper carries has a lot of resemblance to Armour that was carried by the troopers during the Anakin and Vader Sagas.

We all see that the armor resembles the clone trooper's armor. But that is supposed to be that way to fill the Star Wars mithos understand that they are making a game that is supposed to be new and still familiar to us.

the trooper is not a clone and i guess the clone armor would be very close to the trooper armor because they are from the same faction and culture

I really hope you'll be able to turn off the appearance of your helmet as you can in many MMOs. Don't really want to wear a helmet constantly. Would even avoid the class if I would have to constantly be seen in a helmet. Not the heroic portrayal I was hoping for. People in helmets are supporting characters or always end up dying. I like seeing my character's face most of the time.

I like the idea and all but, why be a soldier with a gun and greniads and stuff when you can be a jedi/sith with a lightsaber and the force.You know what they say, don't bring a blaster to a lightsaber fight. But really,"Even Sith Lords are wise to think twice before engaging in combat with the Trooper" I mean come on, a sith lord? maybe a new recruit or somthing but a sith lord really. But besides this it looks awsome. THE JEDI WILL FALL UNDER THE MIGHTY FIST OF THE SITH!!!

the playable troopers are part of a very elite fighting force
and remember clone troopers killed off most of the jedi and sith are very close in power to the jedi (i think thery are more powerful and if darth bane didn't reduce their numbers to two then they could have taken the whole universe)

I hope you can have a guild in a space station or cruiser. Also there could be a hanger bay were the members could house their ships and auto turrets.

Technically mandelorians are made up of many different species but have the same culture. Although it would be awesome to be a mandelorian republic special forces trooper.

canderous was mandelore in kotor 2, he takes his helmet off if you talk to him right, but he never says hes canderous because he changed his name to mandelore. But mandelorian might be a race, not a class. Another class that i would go for would be something like Pilot, or even smuggler, But for sub-class i would choose something like sniper or demolitions expert if there are any for the trooper.

I think the trooper armor turned out to be well made. Also the armor is very detailed and complex unlike the armor in some games.

A Mandalore class? Might as well make Planet Punk as well. I vow as a sith to destroy the Mandolorian mythos and show the true NATURE of the Darkness of the self. Lord Bane was right, ONE TO HAVE AND ENCOMPASS THE POWER, the other to crave, only 2 no more no less.

Hey, since these are player classes, does that mean you can play as other species because these are just the professions? you know like in wow you have the class warrior, but then you can pick various differnt species to play as a warrior.

Something must be wrong with your sensors because you can not have seen any of the things these troopers can do. PS HK droid dude don't forget Jango's armor could not survive I swipe from Mace Windu's lightsaber.
