MMO for a console?Dont think they will do it :( Better just buy a PC

So many questions to ask, but not sure where to start. All I can say is, I hope they don't screw it over like they did with SWG. OMG, that game could of been the best game EVER! Anyway, can't wait to find out more about this game and what is has to offer.

for what ive read swg was a good mmo in the beggining then it became a bad clone of wow, i hope this doesnt happens to tor cause i loved wow a long time ago but now i really dont, hope they foccus on game content more than pvp

Looks like I'm gonna have to go and get the mag. I'm looking forward to this game a lot. Being a huge Star Wars fan I'm still worried about it. I was a dedicated SWG player till about 8 months ago when I just couldn't take the crappiness of the devs and game anymore. I need my SW fix and hopefully this will accomplish it. Unfortunately being in the time period that TOR will be, this means no X-Wings, Tie's etc.

I'm curious what you all think about this.

I really hope they do something like swg did at the beggining where you could vary your character so much, haveing a little pistols here, some rifleman there, totally mixing it up so no one character was exactly the same etc. It was awsome, I loved that about swg, /sniff remembers the good old swg days.

I can't say that im particularly excited about KOTOR being an MMO, but as long as i don't have to pay a monthly fee, then maybe ill buy it.

yeah, besides, no monthly feed means you have to pay to get end game items, i hope it costs no more than 15-25 dollars monthly in my country

Im sure theres gonna be a monthly fee, its one of those double edged swords. No monthly fee means most likely less support and game updates/less content, I would be willing to do the normal ten to fifteen dollars a month deal, but thats just me. Guessing server costs alone would force them to do a monthly fee?

I pay to play SWG and we always get patches and stuff thats why its better to pay a fee.

I sure am! My family only recently got high-speed, and even then the only computer we have connected is circa 10 years old, so I've never gotten into MMOs. And they've honestly often seemed stupid and a waste of time.

But this... Oh, this.

Bioware, you are my heroes. It's about time someone did an MMORPG with (*gasp at the radicalness*) a story. You have figured out exactly how to hook me and my money. Which on one hand I regret (because it's money), but on the other hand something in me goes "Bwah hah hah HA HAAAAAAAH!!!".

I ask only that you have mercy and not charge too much, because you know that whatever it is I will be inextricably compelled to pay. Have mercy on us.

Ditto to that, I never liked MMORPGS and at the announcment I thought ah hell its going to be a MMO but now after all this great stuff I'm reading, Im really looking forward to it. The one thing I should never have doubted is Bioware.

One thing I liked in particular about certain Star Wars titles like KOTOR and Jedi Academy, was the ability for weapons to be customised, in style, appearance and powers. In KOTOR one could alter the power of their sabre, in Jedi Academy one could alter the style of hilt etc. A combination of both would be nice =)

If this game does prove to be a good one, it will be my first venture into the world of online MMO ..... Anyone else in that situation out there ??

Totally awesome! Not that much more shots than on the site, but the descriptions and all the info in the magazine really get ya pumped. Plus they have stuff from the developers. It reveals some pretty cool stuff. I can't wait to see how this game turns out.

I read it. It has a screen shot or 2 more than the site, and an image of concept art or 2 more than the site, but that is about it. The words really pull you in, and my hope for the game kind of skyrocketed. & I'm pretty sure NO DATE has been announced, not even a season one where they say the year and season estimated. Magazine just pulls you in more I think.

i hope tis game has more than just jedi and sith i hope theres alot more classes than the swg i mean i am a smuggler and i want to make sure that i get the same broad choice of careers and that there will be enough in game content that wont have people sitting round bored to death cause they did all the criticals and then got nothing to do that is the most common problem ive seen of mmos is that they do the critical content then just hunt animals all day and night till they cant keep their eyes open talking to players about when the next update is so good constant missions wether its critical or not and make sure theyre different ones and not the same "rinse,lather,repeat" missions and that what the players do will have affect on other players in direct opposition paths to a certain or several mmo players i dont know just my opinion but i dont know anything

Yea, I agree with Jorahhnn. I hope this game has the commando, bounty hunter, medic, smuggler, and other classes like STG. I didn't play that game long tho, simply because sony SUCKS at making a star wars mmorpg. This one is being made by lucasarts and bioware. Bioware made some of my fav games like mass effect, and bioshock. I'm sure they will make this one good too. I just want to be like a commando and use blasters.

I can't believe there will be another kotor game. This one will be better than one and two for me because I love RPGMMO games like Star Wars Galaxies.

Yah, this game better have more classes.
I mean being a Jedi's fine and all, but there's more to the galaxy than guys with lightsabers. I wouldn't mind being split class. Like whatever I feel like and not be restricted by being in a class. Like a jedi, pilot and smuggler. That would be fun.
This better be good or half a gazillion fans will be in many angry mobs ravaging the streets of many famous cities around the world and it will ruin KOTOR for everyone.

I'd just gotten my issue in the mail yesterday. I saw it on the cover and immediately jumped right to their article. Awesome about says it. 8 pages (9 if you count each of the pages from the two-page spread separately), of which I'd seen 3 screenshots and 1 concept piece I haven't found on this site. It got me pretty excited. :D

hm i hope this game will be better than SWG, it seems promising enough. i think that this is one of those games that will probably be excellent because of the content of the game and the combat system and other things it has to offer, and the graphics will be good enough so that alot of people will be able to play.
