I’m new to MMO(RPG)s so can anyone message me to explain what a guild is, what all this join my guild offers are about and why I shod join a guild.

a guild is a group of ppl thats it ppl join together so they dont have to do things alone

Tython isn't going to be an all forest planet. if you click on the link below you will see Bioware take you thru the creation of the planets. Tython looks like one of the better planets but also, when the game comes out, i fear all that will be lost.

Being as lots of people like Tython everyone's going to want to go there. That isn't nessecarily a bad thing but it might spoil the beuty of the planet.

i hope lvling goes like this. the max lvl for jedi is 100. when you get 2 lvl 5 u r a jedi. lvl 25 is jedi padawan. lvl 50 is jedi knight. lvl 75 is jedi master and lvl 100 is grand jedi master.

For Sith the max lvl is 125. With lvl 50 being Sith lord and lvl 100 is high Sith lord (Dark Counsil mem) and 125 the emperor

what i want to know is if im a bounty hunter can i climb a tree on tython and kill all jedis that pass just for the fun of it or does there have to be a reason

Actually, George Lucas himself said that Anakin is the Chosen One.
He completes the prophecy when he kills Palpatine, thus restoring Balance to the Force.

Your intentions are admirable, and someone with as pure a dedication to the balance of the force, would of course always have a home in the Jedi Order.

The Jedi cower on Tython, but soon they will no longer exist.

It reminds me of Endor which should not be a good thing for any sith. The jedi have to win cause the sith need to make a come back in about 2000 bby and then get defeated in 1000 bby and then have the movie era begin and every knows how those end (ROTJ). The only wide open era in the star wars timeline would have to be after the skywalker epoch because nothing is written about it that is even close to being offical. I am not even sure if George has any ideas on what will happen in the future. Maybe descendents of the beings in the star wars galaxy make it to a planet with a single moon that is the 3rd planet from it's star. Then they get set free by an archealogist in the 1950's or 1960's (just kidding).

Actually if your a fan of the ongoing Darkhorse Star Wars series then you should check out Legacy and you'll see that there is still alot going on after ROTJ... Or check out any novell that Dell Ray publlished about star wars.

It gives a good impression of the environ of Planet Tython. The jedi are traditionally a sparse people, though, so you have to imagine there will be a lot of blending done with Jedi areas of importance in Tython with the environment that surrounds it. A secretive outlay of barracks, temples, studies, and other halls of funciton for a Jedi-based settlement.

And thick forests make for some colorful, memorable quests. You'll no doubt have to do some trekking through woodlands at a lot of points along Tython quest-lines.

Well, about Grey Jedi, as said Arbitrex, I don't know if it'll be a class or possible.
I don't know how will be made the alignement system, but I think you should be able to "fall" to the dark side or, from an extrem weakness, redeem from it. If you can do so, I think Grey Jedi should be able to do (and they exist in extended universe).
But if the system is as it was in KOTOR, the use of a sided power will affect you in your alignement, so it may be very difficult to stay in this Grey state

You're talking about Gray Jedi, and I'm not sure if that's going to be a class. So for now just wait and we'll see what happens.

Is it me, or does it seem improbable that all ancient jedi chose one side or the other at the fall of Tython. (it also appears improbable, that these impartial force adepts were all killed). There must be a faction, from the Tython breakup, that have ignored both Sith and Jedi and impartially learnt all they can about the force. These more powerful and more dangerous force adepts are what I would join. With this freedom of the force, you would be left to judge for yourself what is right and wrong without being assigned to a 'side'. These higher beings, as i'm sure you'd all agree would be able to hide from the large force factions and plan their own existences. I wonder if more will be made of non-jedi and non-sith force users during this game, and if so are the still on Tython?

The concept art for the Old Republic reminds me of Ryan Church's work on Star Wars Visionaries and Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Out of curiosity, where is the art credited? This game looks amazing! I can't wait to try out the Jedi and bounty hunter storyline(s)!

jedi own sith- if u kno anything about combat and state of minne, clear, calm minds workks best compared to angry minds. i think in the end, sith will loose because the anger that clouds their minds- but the sith may win the first few conflicts cuz their need to fight. :P
