I really hope I get into the test phase of this game that is coming up. I am def going to try out smuggler. I want to play the class like a sort of "gunslinger". I am so stoked about this game! I want it now! Replayed the KOTORs and am in the process of watching all the movies/tv shows made about Star Wars. Including the Droids cartoon, which puts me to sleep. Looking forward to watching the Ewok movies and Holiday Special then playing some Old Republic and kicking ***** ala Han.

I saw the demo for the smuggler class, it looks awesome. I also saw the interview with the lead writer, and the details he discussed regarding the smuggler class makes me hopeful that it will be available during the beta testing. Running around, blasting folks first, making wise cracks, blasting off a planet with a ship full of goods that the republic desperately needs, GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN!

Gonna drop the cash on a monster machine to play this game to the MAX for sure.... my first roll will for sure be a Smuggler... who will in his free time be a juggler...

Two: The reason this too is wrong, is because the smugglers crimes are not overlooked by the Republic, for at the moment the Republic is the governing power, they would have to take action no matter what. The reason you are wrong is because the smugglers, smuggle FOR the Republic.

One- the alliance doesnt exist in the star wars universe, and Two- the smugglers crimes are to small time for the galactic republic to be concerned about, the assistance of the smugglers matters more than the crimes they commit to the republic.

IT would be cool if you could like hijack ships and speeders and wreack havoc with on a base now that would be cool eh respond if you think so so we could get bioware to put it in there gane!

That does sound pretty awesome, sounds a little bit like GTA. Also if this is put into the game (which it should be!) you should become hated and hunted by the person/people you stole it from and/or become a "subject of interest" to the law.

Sneaky. This looks really cool! I can't wait until it comes out. I'm going to be on the Republic's side. I know you Sith hate us Jedi and you problably want to kill me but I command a squadron of Republic troopers and if you read up on them they are the equivilent of at least a squadron of regular men. Don't mess with the Republic or Jedi. But I'm not looking for a fight so don't try and start one please. I'm just stating my opinion. I'm also looking for some friends so anybody's welcome! Especially guys on the Republic's side.

The republic is gonna win for two reasons:
1. Me

if you can smuggle stuff on your own for cash i hope that a law enforcment system will be in place cus it will be boring if you smuggle stuff with no penalties like republic or sith police ships chasing you and stuff

or maybe bounty hunters will be able to get cash from hunting down real player's smuggler chars that would be kinda neat

I wonder if as a Smuggler you'll be able to actually smuggle stuff, that would be pretty cool

Well, on the one hand it was interesting being able to make a living without blowing things up in a game, but on the other hand... you had to make a living without blowing things up. who would want to do that?

I'm having some trouble figuring out why everyone is so eager to hear about sith/jedi. In Star Wars games, those types are really common. So you've basically already done everything that is to be done, on that front. Everyone has played a jedi. Its nothing new.
Smuggler, on the other hand, is a rarity in Star Wars games. To me, this is much more exciting than playing a sith lord would be.
I really don't get why so many are casting away the smuggler at first glance, favoring the jedi. Smugglers are much more exciting characters. Whereas Jedi are representing the pure, and sith the impure, the smugglers are a type that can walk along both lines. It makes for much better story telling

But you have to first think about where the smugglers stand. On Star Wars Galaxies you could be both Imperial and Rebellion. On this one you have to be on the Republic's side. More people would probably be a smuggler if you are on the dark side.

Well considering that a lot of Jedi/Sith are poorly trained and theres tons of them it wouldn't seem unfeasible that a smuggler could kill one.

To be honest, I don't think a smuggler would stick around to square off against a Sith/Jedi. Probably drop a flashbang, and then haul his butt out of there.

I dont think so. Smugglers are very stealthy i dont even think the jedi would even be able to find the smuggler. And besides the smugglers are extremley intelligent. If the jedi would be able to find him the jedi would have a tough time defeaeting him.

Are they gonna to make all opposite class systems so it equal? Or does each side have totally different classes?
