I agree with you BobbyMcGee that it probably is a self-buff, with them saying "Channeling the power of the Force, the Jedi Knight faces his opponent with confidence" it probably does means him using Force Valor, so well done on your theory! And on another note, look at that character design! There's the Kiffar-like paint covering a portion of his left eye, the belt with the center being the Republic insignia and a neat little suit, so well done Bioware and keep it up!
