An immense piece of machinery, this generator supplies power to the Republic wherever needed.

But you've got to think, it's pretty hard to make advanced technology look old. Just like in episodes 1 - 3, but then again it wasn't 3,000 years apart... |
ultimate power source! if we could carry one of these in our packs and hook it to a blaster it would be total overkill! XD *evil laugh* |
hmm where have i seen this before *rubs chin* ohh i know the rebel base on hoth -_- |
looks just like the ones from battlefront!! cool!!! |
Big, Creative, and Complex yet Simple, Familiar, and well, no matter what it's definitely big... |
looks familiar like I saw it on the ebon hawk |
i do agree that it does almost axactly loox like the one from hothyouthink they would have better technology in the futer |
They do, Echo Base had 4 turbine-like pieces :) |
it dosen't look like the one from hoth, the one from hoth looks like it, lol :D |
this probably means that the rebels were using old technology. no wonder the imperials got through so easily. Hoth was probably an abandoned republic outpost |
Very Nice!! I hope we'll be able to aim for critical spot on a ship/vehicle/person in order to cripple , dmg or to destroy them. Such as this , mainly to cripple it , rendering it unoperational. |
your right it does look like the one on Hoth just a little shorter though |
it looks like the one on hoth but is still wicked |
I like the red/white color scheme they're using for all the republic stuff. |
does anyone else love the aesthetic they seem to be going with in the way of the Republic? I hope that the Republic in TOR really adheres to this white with red scheme, as shown here and on the walker concept, it speaks of the more unified machine the republic would grow into / is growing into |
No one else thinks that the society and technology decayed from when the Republic was in it's prime? I think that this setting, The Old Republic, is the represents pinnacle of achievement of the SW franchise. |
That's a huge machine!!! You can see the scale of it from the people standing at the base. Immense |
everybody keeps sayin "it looks like the one on hoth" yes it does, it would probably power only a few building at the most though... |
it powered an entire post, sorry "base" which heating, energy for the buildings for heating/cooling (if needed) lights for the entire "base", medical equipment, "refrigerators", Refreshers (shower). And Hoth was a huge base, they made it look small on the movie...... Just a practical correction |
Sweet.. |
how big of a droid would u need to make that thing self destruct |
it prob would be huge!!! |
lol yes it's big but the main thing about this generator is it's much larger than the generator on Hoth.... like a lot of things have gotten smaller as tech improved. anyways at least we know that they're considering having large scale buildings in the game and yes it will look cool when it goes boom :D |
I never realized this was so big, seeing the humans near it makwes it HUGE. |
keep in mind that this thing, whatever it may be powering, is only using two generators. imagine how big it would be if it were joined by several connector pieces......... DROOL~~ |
more importantly think of the pretty colors when it goes boom |
Well... let's see... got the cables, got the turbines, got the mini-scale-people... Yep! It's a generator! |
the concept art looks better then most of the screenshots |
It's a rather moot point, but the Hoth generator is a shield generator, and this one is a power generator. |
A generator's a generator right? |
Ummmmm, a generator can power different things..... |
Looks the same way but its obviously much smaller...thats a sign of improvement. The generator from the movies perhaps produces vasts more quanteties of energy then this one is perhaos half the size. |
Looks good. Closely designed to the hoth generator, but you need -some- things to connect back to the movies. Don't see why the design would need to change, really. |
Yeah it's funny how much architecture and droids can change in appearance but a sheid generator looks the same 3000 some years later. I'd rather be looking at the concept art for a starship. |
Wow, that thing is HUGE indeed! Those humanoids look so small on the art. |
Even if it looks similar to the hoth model, I'm of the opinion that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Besides, 4,000 years of upgrades would mostly be internal. |
Hay it still work the same way after 4000 years. |
Looks excessively similar to the ESB shield generator on Hoth. Not to mention it could use a bit aging on the core design (technology changes in 4000 years after all). You guys could certainly have been a lot more original. |
Dude have you considered that, maybe the Rebels didn't build the Hoth Generator? Maybe they found it there and hooked their gear up to it? Or... KOTOR Cheap Ancient Junk.com!!! After all, that's where Revan bought Malak! |
exactly what i thought, there is a difference of 4000 years and yet the generators look awfully alike. |
I'm not the only one who thinks this is from Hoth. "I'm not alone!" |
awesome! |
Are those definitely humans on the left? If so that is enormous. That will take up a lot of space. |
If those are humans, and the generator is huge, then those pipes are huge! I've never seen large pipes. |
yep, i think they are humanoids. the sensor array also has a little dude standing next to it for scale reference |
look at the size compared to the humanoid figures on the left! thats huge!!! |
Looks great, and Hoth-like. |
Anybody got any permacrete detonators? We're blowing the republic's power and then going in via the 'hook and entry' tactic. Assassins Move out! |
bring it on woman! |
