if this is 300 hundred years after revan wouldn't Bane be around? |
I thought SWTOR Would show the story of Revan and the Exile? |
I did to. But they have sadly change it as you can see. |
I think they should make kotor 3 like the other two and so we know the story of revan and the exile. And after kotor 3 they can make tor. |
There might be some info about what happened to them. Maybe some holocrons or droid memory cores or even some datapads may contain pieces of information about them. |
it looks so awesome i wanna play it now ha ha |
still though a single player game where you try to find out what happened to the two specifically would be nice. Here it kind of feels like we're throwing the first two stories out the window... |

From what I could see the designs of the lightsaber hilts were very intricate. This is the bomb! I don't think I was the only one who was dissapointed with the Kotor 1/2 cylander hilts (eg. all the pc mods). What would be great for this game would be having the character collect varrious materials and lightsaber compionents that determine the look of your personal lightsaber. And the option to change it latter on, truly personalizing it and making it your own, unique, weapon. |
None of us is sure, Valvic, though they were hinting that it might come out late autum 2009. |
I can't wait...I have been waiting for a new Star wars MMO. When will it be out? |
I am going to have to re-do this on the more commonly seen comments page accessed by clicking on the picture, not the title. |

Umm I thought I posted on Friday but I guess not. Is that a lightsaber in my pants? Umm no its just that I am really freaking glad about this video. For the First Video it looks amazing and Congrats are in order for not just talking a lot of BS BioWare and actually delivering some nice imaging and amazing first video. Great Job and if you keep it up maybe we can have 10 Million Customers and make you guys Filthy rich ;) |

I know people say you've got to be patient etc 'we want this game to be good blah blah blah , but I know there as impatient as i am and most people, but just bit of light is that they began development of this game in 2005 and it has been rumoured for years. The reason SWG took like 4 years is because they started 'jump to light speed' mid development. I want this to be good, but i just cant wait another 2 years. 'Obviacly I have to' 'could you imagn building up all this and in two years they still haven't released it. Couldnt be anything worse lol. so every one cross your fingers :) |
I shall remain cautiously optimistic. I'm not going to comment on any videos being shown that aren't in game representations. I don't so much trust pre-production vids. That being said, Bioware has yet to disappoint me with a game they've made. However, it is hard to make a MMORPG not boring. Even the good ones get boring after awhile. Good luck, Bioware. I'm looking forward to see what you'll do. |
Worth the wait... combat sequences look fast paced which would be a great plus to help players feel more immersed. |
This looks great! Im just curious on how they'll implement this "companion" idea into the story. Still looking forward to it. |
Stunning is the biggest word that comes to mind. |
will there be a solo option? becouse i dont have a lot of time to play on line due to my job. this is an epic game. |
They have stated that they will make the game to suit all style of play. They also mentioned that if you want to play solo OR group with friends you can, it will not effect your progression. I only play MMO for the scope of the game not to interact with others given my limited time available online. |
I dont know if there will be an actual solo mission like single player mode, but they say that you will be able to do most of the missions for your class by yourself. |
EPIC! |
NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDD |
Ever since SWG got ruined I have been waiting for a new Star wars MMO...this looks very promising indeed. BioWare FTW !!!! :) |
As a huge fan of Both Kotor, SWG,Battlefront and altogether star wars I am glad to see the game looks great even in pre-productioon.I Really hope Ican Have my very own Mandlorian Clan. |
I agree, Mandlorian's better be a playable race. would be great to be. |
That flame thrower was great. I'm glad to see the wrist launchers made it in this game. I expect to see wrist tasers and rockets as well. A mandalorians dream except for the look of those blasters. I hope that's the mining laser and not a heavy mandalorian blaster. That would ruin it. |
Running around as a bounty would be awesome too! *I guess it would've made more sense to say running with a bounty of on my head, which would make being evil 1000x more fun. Like a old western meets sci-fi. I can see it now, The Good, the bad and the protocol droid. Starring Clint Eastwood....err I mean Darth Revan... |
Bioware has perfected the art of storytelling so I am confident that they will do an amazing job. If anyone can knock WOW of its pedestal it's going to be Bioware. I really hope you get a large variety of classes. Hopefully we get to have access to a class that specializes in hand to hand, like an Echani. Maybe Teras Kasi master or something, similar to SWG, which I think they had something like that. Running around as a bounty would be awesome too! |

lol for you people saying "no monthly fees" as killing off prospective customers....the majority of us who will and dont mind paying a fee will GREATLY outweigh the very few who would not buy this game because of that. ill gladly pay monthly fees. Whats $15? Only kids who dont have access to credit cards would care about such a small thing as what...$15-$20 a month? Maybe $100 0r so dollars for a whole year...? Id rather they charge simply to veer the kiddies away tbh. Look at SWG. Infested with teeny-boppers with smart mouthed comments and a "im more pwn than you" attitude. Last thing ill say is, I hope there ARE no other professions, and if there is, they need to be UNDER the jedi class. JEDI ARE ALPHA IN THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE! Not non jedi. You all know it. How many people have you seen in the movies just kill a jedi so easily? I hate that in SWG too, how your supposedly a Jedi, but you cant even fight more than 1 or 2 people at a time...and even then you have to have a billion buffs. JEDI need to be alpha. Whether they make Jedi an unlockable class, or have some sort of other advantage - jedi need to be able to be the top dawg for combat. Its just not proper to have a Jedi being killed by your normal person. Whatever you do, make sure Jedi is alpha class. Id rather not see any other "professions" anyways. |
I agree with the jedi thing for the most part, but the game would just turn into a big jedi on sith melee. (which would be cool to a point) But then it would just get old. There needs to be a variety of class and profession, cause even though it is basically supposed to be a jedi/sith game. there are still the people that would love to have crafters and bounty hunters. I say go all out. Make EVERYTHING, cause I think the game would die really quick if everyone has jedi or sith. it needs balance. But i do agree, Jedi better be hard as hell to kill when they max and become a master. |

My only gripe is that it seems very arcadie. I am not totally over the hill in terms of age but I am more of a thinker player than a quick reactions player. Thats what I loved about KOTOR I/II you could think about your moves. Thats also why I do not do PvP but perfer PvE. Reaction time. I still remember the way that PvP looked in WoW with the bouncing Elf Hunters shooting and moving. Apart from looking stupid I found it hard to play PvP, which is why I stopped. Why play something your not good at or do not find fun. Before some idiot says 'L2P'. I can, just not PvP. Its not the be all and end all of any game. I like PvE and wish to ONLY do PvE. Nothing else! If this game turns into an arcade/xbox style format game where fastest reactions win I can see alot of people not playing it. I do not want this turning in to WAR or EVE. On a positive note I actually do like the graphic style. Its quite KOTOR. Its a balance between WoW and SWG. For me Story, Content and Fun are the three most important factors. |
This game looks like it has a lot of potential. I say this because we have only seen pre-production footage. My hope is that we will get the game that we all hoped Galaxies would be (but, as it turns out, wasn't). I also hope there will be non-force classes that can stand their own against the Jedi/Sith/Force users. As a person who still continues to play the Star Wars Roleplaying Game (thats right ...dice and paper!) I would love to see this implemented. Plus, although combat is important, I would love to see the ability for characters of all types (i.e. with varying strengths and weaknesses) be able to be effectively utilised. A slicer vs a soldier for example. |
Been waiting for this ever since the CU/NGE in SwG. Lol just dont let SOE anywhere near it |
Any minute doubts I could of had are pretty much silenced with this snippet of video. I truly can't wait for more on this ^_^ This is way more worth it than any MMO currently out, so there no stopping me on this one. |
Oh man, this is making me so excited... I can't wait!!! But I will have too... |
I've got to say, although i'm really looking forward to this game and cant wait to play it, i'm not sure about the choice to go cartoony on the graphics, it certainly looks stylish but graphics technology is something Lucasarts has championed over the years, it kind of feels like a backwards step. I wouldnt mind so much if the simplified graphics makes it easier for us to use an editor to create our own levels and maybe post them online for others to try out, but i have a feeling that may be asking too much! I hope im proved wrong, but Im not entirely certain this was the right decision. |

I see lots of exiting things in this clip... The droid looks like an HK-Series predecessor. A multi passenger ship landed in remote area with its engines smoking. /twitch There’s a brief glimpse of the UI… In one of the stills there’s a shot of a room with a corridor leading off toward the back. Is the jumping part of an attack move or a separate jump action coupled with an attack? When the still shot I keep seeing of the ship flying over what I'm guessing is the Sith enclave comes to life I can't help but imagine that we will be able to fly ships not only in space but in the atmosphere of a planet and land ourselves. It could be an automated shuttle though. The flaming speeder bike looks like more than a prop; apparently set ablaze by the Kel Dor packing what looks like a flamethrower or a big nasty rifle. /grin When they cut back to the female Jedi and the pole armed Kel Dor it looks like he’s got force fire or something. It's coming right out of his fist. /contemplate There were a lot of force moves going on through out the entire clip. Looks very nice so far. Way to go!!! So far this is looking like it will be mostly what everyone has been hoping and dreaming for. |
Good point on the wrist flamethrower. I wasn't considering that. I agree on the graphics but am also considering that this is pre-alpha and finishing touches will come in time. A bit cartoony for my taste also but it could be worse. I also agree about the console version. Even with ppl using keyboards and mice on a console. I believe it will not be able to live up to our expectations because of the limitations a console will impose on the developers. The majority of us are asking for diversity that is as limitless as possible. I just don't see that happening with a console edition. The way I see things a PC vs Console edition would be like pre and post SWG NGE. Pre-NGE being PC and post-NGE being console. But I've been wrong before. |
and just one more thing if this game is supposed to be set a thousend years after the KOTOR stories how the heck can those droids be HK PREDECESSORS???! shouldnt they be like upgraded versions and if so poorly upgraded version... more like degrations?? i was just wonderin... ::) |
just to make 1 thing straight cause it seems to me youve never seen star wars ep 2 where jango shoots fire out of his wrist its an inbuild flamethrower that is resited in the wrist band of his suit no doubt :D |
Men just 2 or 3 things a) They need to work much more in the backgrounds...they are 2D feel and too clear and clean...there is a war , not a bambi film. b) The toons still looks like childrens dressed with pijamas. c) Please dont , repeat DONT make a console game , not other dumbed game of just hit buttons, we want a persistent , explorable, rol-playable world!!! At the other hand congrats , the combats are really good and the creatures just AMAZING. |
I think the graphics look fantastic, and a great mix of realism/cartoon look to the characters. can't wait to see a ui and what the gameplay is like. maybe it's to early but has anyone heard much about crafting in the game yet? i havn't found anything anywhere, perhaps i overlooked it |
I want to play this game now!!!!!!!!! |
Omg this looks sweet i enjoyed Star wars galaxies and im sure this is going to be so much better...i want this game NOW |
AWSOME VID im so excited |
Making it unique? It's Star Wars, you don't have to change the art to make it unique. Apart that, awesome! |
I don't think bioware is like that. Meaning, I don't think bioware would just forget about the loyal fans that they have on the Xbox. Bioware would probably take account that most of their fans can't afford to buy or upgrade their pc. I do believe that it will probably make its way on to the Xbox 360, the real question is, when does it come out for the X360? Also remember, EA owns Bioware now, and everyone knows what EA is all about! I'm not trying to start anything here with the EA fans, I'm just saying that EA would want to milk as much money as they can with this game. And trust me, this is going to be a cash cow from what I just saw! |
Completely Awsome! I would like to see more playable species, though. The individual choices will actually make the story your own! Really looking forward to it. My lightsaber: Double sider blue man! (Paired blue reg. and white shoto). |
I am really excited. The video made me yell outloud. I was one of the many SWG fans who was really pissed that they screwed with it so much. I hope they take the time to get it right and don't screw with the gameplay too much after they release. Also I like the idea that they aren't telling us everthing. I would love to log into the game not knowing what the hell was going on. Figuring the game out is most of the fun! |
