Best approach to maximize crew skills

I have
Archaeology\Slicing /Diplomacy

What would be the best thing for me to do since all i recieve for the missions are mats and Schems that do not apply to my skills

Plz help

you have chosen:
  • one gathering skill: archeology
  • one mission skill: diplomacy
  • one hybrid gathering/mission skill: slicing

So schematics you acquire will do you no good as you have no crafting skill
And mission discoveries are random across all eight materials skills so there is a 62.5% chance that any mission discovery you get will not fall into the three skills you've chosen.

Another thing to consider is that the three skills you've chosen do not blend well together so stocking up on materials to eventually change one of the above materials skill to a crafting skill is likely to produce a shortfall:
  • archeology feeds synthweaving (to produce basic armor) and artifice.
  • slicing feeds synthweaving, armormech, and armstech but only on a limited basis (augments nothing else)
  • diplomacy feeds biochem

The question is what are your intentions with regard to crew skills? With three materials skills you can sell you what you acquire on the GTM...that's it. If you intend to eventually take up a crafting skill you are better off changing something out now. The link below is an image of the crew skills "map" of what feeds what.
