FIX. NOW.
Did you get someone to type this for you? You are as bad as the last guy. You clearly cannot read. Have a look at the pathpings that others have posted (or get someone to do it for you...) and you will see the problem is not with BioWare. Jeebus...

Have had server lag of 50-60 last year and a half, log in today with lag of 30k plus. Checked other games, Steam, netflix...ran tests, everything works as normal except swtor. Problem IS Bioware side ever since server mergers.

You clearly missed the part where I'm blaming BW for this, for all that reading comprehension you claim to have. FIX NOW -> BW can have a role in identifying and help solve the issue. If you'd spend less time pedantically totting your ****** job qualifications and talking down to others, you'd be left with more time to develop some social skills, which would help you both interpret things and get your points across more efficiently.

Here is the pathping data, it was actually run at the same time as the traceroute, I just forgot to post it.

Thx mate, indications are congestion at the start, but it doesn't appear to be major, see the ping variance between the tracert and pathping itself on each hop starting at hop 1.

web browsing and downloading certainly wont be affected, but game packets can feel it.

When you play use www.pingplotter.com running in the background to the server IP and see what it captures over time, look for a large variance and ERR appearing for the hop.

tracert and pathping are also point in time captures.

To show you how close the tracert and pathping timings should be, but yours are over double , timings should be close to identical.

If you are having lag rising lag to red x disconnects out of the blue, it's worth clearing your cache (open the game folder, then swtor, then delete the DiskCacheArena folder). Also, there is a hefty set of of troubleshooting tips here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showt...php?t=498597#5

It also helps a lot to describe the nature of the lag/dcs. For example, is chat slow, are mailboxes sluggish or unresponsive, is there excessive rubberbanding, does the lag come suddenly or gradually rise and fall, does it happen only at certain times of day, and so on. Including your location and server also helps.

Thanks.
I deleted the DiskCacheArena as advised, then found that my launcher was constantly updating. Fixed that in turn....still suffering severe lagspikes.

Please advise?

I think they did in the post you quoted there is more mentioned then just deleting the cache file mentioned.

Which ISP are you with ? I am with Bigpond in Brisbane.

Over 10 mins im getting close to 50% packet loss at the last hop which if the IP listed above is correct is Bio-ware's deal.

We have the same problem in europe/germany as well. On T3-M4 i normaly have a ping between 40 and 50. Since the last patch during prime time i have a minimum ping of 135 which rises to about 700 in waves. Sometimes between there a lags up to 20000.
Today at 7am ping was normal.

Edit:

Again at Primetime: Massive packet losses, and a ping going from 135 to 700, sometimes the red Connection Symbol. Serious gaming (hc/nim) is impossible.
