IMO they're certainly on the path to being the next dynastic family of Star Wars. At least of the distant BBY era.

Yeah...I see Revan as sort of the first Skywalker.

I have a friend who thinks that's just one of the lamest things he's ever heard, so...whatever.

Want to know what happened to the Marrs...

Seems to me that most games,flims and books that last a generation or 2 tend to have a 'main' family.

I think it is so that people have characters they can associate with from older games,films and books.
The siege of Coruscant was in fact brought to an end after the republic agreed to give the Empire a Shrubbery, one that looked nice and wasn't too expensive.

It could have been even more extensive - Bastila Shan was originally going to be Vima Sunrider until the trademark controversy made them change their plans. We almost had the family dynasty stretch all the way back to Grand Master Nomi Sunrider from the original Tales of the Jedi: Knights of the Old Republic comics.
