A decent jedi tunic

Hey guys,

I am reasonably new to the republic side (I have one level 50 smuggler versus 3 50 imperial toons) and I just started playing a Jedi Knight. From browsing the GTN (and just considering my experience playing the game generally), a lot of the JK armor seems to be of the heavily armored, big shoulders, hooded variety, and I'm not really a fan. I've found some decent non-robed looks for my Sith assassin, but then the aesthetic for Sith is a bit different.

Is there anything resembling the "classic" Jedi aesthetic? Thinking along the lines of what we might see Obi-Wan wearing, a la this picture:

Ideally this would be adaptable as well, but if need be, I could roll a consular. What I really want to make is just a classic looking, single saber Jedi.

Does anyone know of a decent piece to strive for? Do they exist?

Thank you!

This might be what you're looking for

Hood up (of course) but close to what they wore in the movies.

the closest to that, I have seen is a customizable version of the commendation chest piece you can get on tython. The name escapes me now though :<

This is the pain in this game. There is no available, classic (and even hood-down) Jedi attire! All of it is worn by NPCs. Closest thing you can get is the Battle Expulsor set but it, too, has some funny looking metal pieces on gloves and boots and no hood down. And the robe has an ugly brown colour which reminds me of what you can see down the toilet...

The closest I have seen to the movie tunics are the Knight's Crusade ( in heavy armor and the Blade master ( medium armor pieces. They are L27 moddable armor that can be made by synthweavers. A full set, or at least the chest and leg pieces are very close in style to the Obi Wan picture posted earlier - its just that the inside robes are a dull brown instead of the nice white color that Obi gets to wear.

Even more than the hood issue I find the real problem is the color choices - for some reason the artists for this game are all really fond of either boring dull browns, puke greens or chlorine yellows. Then there are the poor sith inquisitors - solid black with minor touches of red on almost everything.

You will never really look cool as a Jedi, they ruined Jedi Armors with either horrible shoulder pads or constant hood up models. Even the legacy lvl 10 armor is probably the closest to the robe Obi got in that picture, but for some reason Bioware designers thought that they should add some really ugly shoulder pads to it..... I really don't like the design of armors in this game, the thing that annoys me so much is that there are so many cool armors and looks for NPCs and what is shown in trailers and official screenshots, but for some reason I just can't understand they removed all these cool armors before release.... I stopped playing because of this issue over the summer, just returned to find out that it has not reallty changed.

For instance, the awesome armor you see at the character creation screen.... Yeah dream about it, because there is no such armor in the game.
The Dark Side of the Force is the pathway to many abilities some consider to be… Unnatural.
