I'm trying to hold out till Elder Scrolls online. Have they said anything about an expansion for TOR? I'm getting kinda bored.

Exact date is still unknown but yes if you look at the many developer's blogs they talk about Makeb and Cathar races and going to lvl 55 for expansion.

Nothing stated about Makeb is an Expansion. It is a major content update. But from what they have said it is likely to be a free content update for subscribers.

So all the meat of an expansion with none of the buying it and getting a fancy box Eve does this a lot.

Actually theyve already changed their mind on Makeb being free and in Jeff Hickmans words at gamescom they havent decided if well be paying for this "big beefy content" yet. Keep in mind this is one planet and no class story continuation. So excited...

Gamescom Jeff Hickman, whos now in charge god help us, stated in a video interview that originally Makeb was to be free but now that hes in charge and its "big beefy content" in his words, they havent decided if theyll charge us for it or not. They seem to think that since they are going F2P they can nickel and dime us for everything. If it was a real expansion id be all for paying for it but its ONE planet, no story continuation, and just a level increase. Unless theres tons more we havent heard of in that one little planet I wont touch it.

Oh see I heard they might charge, but I am hoping they do what they are doing with f2p and section X.

I agree currently it doesn't sound "Beefy" but they might add more over time.

It better be free for those that still stay Subscribed to the Game, i'm alright with them charging it for those that play the Game with the F2P Option but that would seriously be a Ripoff to those that keep paying the Monthly Fee's.

I Agree it will likely anger people who are staying loyal. I have stayed subbed since day 1 the least they can do is give me a few free major updates before they start trying to charge me.

I don't mind paying for it, but I would really hope they appreciate the community that they announced it too back before f2p was even a twinkle in their minds and give us players something more than the cartel coins. Maybe make the update 500 cartel coins so that subscribers technically get it for free?

This type of mentality will kill the industry. We pay for major content. I'd prefer a huge boxed expansion but if this is their version of that and they can push it out 1-2 times a year I'll fine with paying for it. You won't be paying as much as you would for a full WoW expansion but $20-30 doesn't seem unreasonable.
