Appearance issues with orange gear new in 1.3

So, there seem to be a few things out of place with some of the new schematics.
I've been trying to acquire a full Diatium Onslaught set for my main's Assault Specialist spec, and I've noticed a few oddities. For one, some of the gear seems to be mismatched color-wise. I got my hands on a pair of Diatium Onslaught Boots only to discover that they're running on a blue-white color scheme more suited to the Outcast set than the (yellow-white) Diatium Onslaught appearance previously established by the helmet, chestguard, and greaves. The Electrum Onslaught Vambrances, similarly, are orange-white rather than green-gray like the rest of THEIR set. Were such color mismatches intentional, Devs?
Additionally, I have yet to see wristguards in-game for most of the sets, and data-mining sites such as Torhead and AskMrRobot suggest that they don't exist. Is this true?

Why don't you color match to chest?

...the point is that the sets are supposed to match already. And companions can't color match, sadly, though the Devs have said they'll be implementing that.

I've been trying to complete my Jedi's Resilient Polypast gear set and have noticed the same thing. The new pieces just don't seem to correctly go with the rest of the set.

I took a look at a bunch more gear and it's almost all got this problem; the belt, gloves, boots, and bracers (if any) all match each other, but not the rest of the set.
I'm going to give this a shameless bump and hope that the Devs hear about it.

You're totally right. They are mismatched. It seems to be a systematic mismatch as well.

This is what I've seen so far, and admittedly it is limited:
The Outcast Boots (level 23) don't match the Outcast set at all but match the Chanlon Onslaught set (level 31) perfectly
The Chanlon Onslaught Gloves (level 27) match the Phobium Onslaught Set (level 35)
The white and grey Phobium Onslaught Gloves and Boots (level 31) match a white and blue trooper set that I'm not sure exists

My hypothesis, therefore, is that most or all gloves and boots match the next set up in level from their namesakes. If my guess is right, whoever implemented the new glove/boot/bracer recipes into the game was reading from a list/spreadsheet, and misread, shifting everything one row down. Either that, or the guy making the list/spreadsheet made the same mistake. Derp!

Yes. I noticed the same thing and came to the same conclusion. Its obvious that the 'finisher' pieces were meant to match their respective sets, but they were implemented incorrectly into the wrong sets and thus don't visually match.
*sigh*

I completely agree, even with color matching some of these sets look COMPLETELY off and like they don't belong at all.

For example. the Commando Elite PROTOTYPE Set (the ones you can get as quest rewards):

look at the boots. those go quite well with the set, but if you look at the Crafted commando elite boots:

They don't seem to go with the set at all, besides the colors being completely off. :/ Color matched and they still look off.

I'm trying to get the gloves and as soon as I do I'll repost a complete commando elite set for a comparison. I REALLY hope this gets fixed as well as some of the other issues such as sets not being grouped properly in the list.

Doesn't work on pets. And why don't they just take the time to do it right, and match the pieces of these "matched" sets?

They also screwed up the level for tons of these pieces, such that it's now impossible to figure out what level of mission to run in order to get a given set, because the new pieces they put in could be randomly 1, 3, 5, or 10 levels below the level of the chest and the balance of the pieces. Or it could be the same level. Since there is no consistency at all (not even consistent variability), it's now just a gigantic stupid mess, and you have to basically farm all levels of missions below the level of the set you want in order to try and get a complete set.

And that's leaving aside that if you want to make augmented pieces, the tier of the augment slots will be screwed and won't match on all the set pieces, effectively negating the entire value of crit crafting a nice set of "matched" orange pieces.

They really should just let the RNG randomly assign stats, colors, levels, and names to every orange piece every time you craft one, instead of even having fixed stats for them. It would produce about the same results.

It's not. I have collected a moderately large sample of these pieces from farming them up now. All of the bracers and belts seem to be the same level as the chest piece. Most of the gloves are, but some are 5-15 levels lower (sometimes in a whole different tier or "grade"). Most of the boots are wrong, and lower again by random numbers of levels; but some boots are the same as the chest. Nothing about it is consistent or predictable, other than the fact that it's consistently screwed up and unpredictable. As far as I can tell, it's plain old fat-fingeritis or someone who just did not even care if it was right or not. The color mismatches as well suggest that the whole thing was just done with an abundance of incompetence.
