Horrid FPS

I am having the same problems, and so does my girlfriend.
We were subscribers for the game as we both love Star Wars and TOR is a great game.

However, since a few patches something just diminishes our FPS in a lot of area's. We created countless tickets but never received any valuable feedback, not on the forum, not in-game and not when contact customer support.

My system:

i7 920 - clocked to 3.8Ghz
GTX 480
6GB RAM

Her system

i5 2500
GTX295
16GB RAM

Both our systems exhibit the same problems in the same area's. Since this been going on for more than a year and through a variety of patches we both decided that we won't be subscribing to TOR anymore.

Bringing this thread back. Still not fixed 1 year later. It was good for awhile, and now it's back to the old, bad fps.
GTX 680, i7 3770k, 16gb of ram, 500GB Samsung SSD. Please try fixing it again bioware.
I force choke because i find it funny.

I also noticed reduced FPS in Voidstar today after the patch.
The electrons are singing.

Seems they think it is all of our top of the line rigs that are causing the issues. Crossfire users have been waiting for a fix for the issue that was created in 1.4 (which was supposed to INCREASE crossfire performance but ended up destroying it). I rarely get over 40fps (drops to 27-32 a lot) in open areas and my card usage barely exceeds 30% on both cards, funny that when in a closed area it will run upto 70%-84% per card and run 110fps. Their supposed CPU or GPU throttle check (CTRL-ALT-F) says my CPU is throttling the game when it is barely at 15% usage, then 30secs later it shows the GPU is throttling the game though it is only at 30% usage per card. Seems some code on their end is broken. The real kicker is my sons old Athlon 2 X4 with a GTS 250 (1GB) and 4 GB DDR2 RAM can run the game as well as my setup (see sig). My wife has a 3770k @ 4.7Ghz with dual 7950's and it runs it no better than the A2 X4 setup. Before 1.4, I saw an average of 60fps on my dual 6850's but now I cannot push over 40fps on dual 7950's. It isn't our rigs Bioware/EA, we know that as well as you do. Someone in your programming department broke something in 1.4 and it has yet to be fixed. Even the workarounds that some people (including myself) have found have stopped working after subsequent updates. The workarounds being able to work, even on a temporary basis, further prove it is something on the games end and not the client rigs.

For the record. I am running at 5040x1050 resolution. These cards should be pushing up, at the very least, a solid 60fps with that res on this system. My wife's machine is running 1920x1080 and only runs 40fps. It is almost like there is something in the code throttling AMD cards when crossfired.

The biggest issue that I have (as a paying customer) is that there is never any response to us about the Crossfire issues, or anything that truly makes sense for highend PC/low FPS issues. Cutting our graphics down is NOT a solution. We should have NO problem with everything cranked.
PC Specs: CPU: AMD FX-8350 Vishera @ 4.9Ghz, Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB @ 1700Mhz, Video: Gigabyte RadeonHD 7950 3GB @ 1.1Ghz X2 (Crossfire), Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD7, Cooling: Corsair H100, Case: DF-85

They know what exactly is wrong with the engine but decided its not worth to fix it. They know most people will accept crap

Still having problems when entering combat/PvP - everything runs smooth at around 55-60 FPS when out in the world exploring. Enter combat and it drops to 30-45 even though there is minimal effects around. PvP is even worse, plenty of times it dips into the low 20's Tried every ingame setting but it still drops like crazy and stutters when moving around in combat.

My rig: Windows 7 64bit Ultimate, i5 3750k @ 3.4Ghz, GTX 670 Phantom 2GB, 8GB DDR3 RAM and 128GB SSD (actually have to put the game on my old slower HD to gain performance - beats me).

As others have pointed out, CPU is at around 50% used on each core and my GPU is around 50-60%. The ingame indicator is always red when it slows down/stutters.

It's been 2 years right and nothing?

I just reuped (I quit about 4 months after release because I had no time) and I NEVER had issues before using the comp I'm using now. It's absolutely horrible and keeps getting worse. I've tried EVERYTHING that has been posted. Every possible suggestion and nada. SWTORunleashed, very low settings with everything turned off. High settings with just shadows. It makes the game unplayable in PvP and combat situations.

I have 24gigs of memory, an SSD, AMD 6970 and a 2720qm. It should run fine. I've reinstalled everything on my computer, every driver, etc and nada.
