-Eternal-
I"m looking to start crafting augments but I'm not 100% sure of the process. Can someone walk me through it real quick (what crew skills are needed, how to craft purple etc)? Appreciate any info
sirwyst
Same as any other item. You get a schematic and RE it until you get purple

Mythicrose
What crew skill crafts the augments? Where do we get the schematics? Armormechs and Synthweavers are both capable of learning the new augment schematics. The schematics even state requires "synthweaving" for instance. The schematics are found through specific slicing missions as well as the materials required to create an augment.
konstan
You have two ways of going about it (1) pick up slicing and run slicing missions till you are broke slicing missions that return "sliced tech parts" will bring you mats needed to craft augments. All slicing missions, if they crit, have a chance to bring back an augment pattern. The pattern may be for your skill (synth) or for one of the other skills (armstech, armormech, artifice). They all sell on GTN fairly well, so sell the ones you do not need (2) just buy the schematic for what you want and the mats on GTN. this will probably be a more expensive route. Once you have the mat and the patterns, craft and RE them. It took me about 10 of each to discover a blue and 10 of each blue to discover a purple. Certain patterns have a much rarer drop rate. For example, Might Augment for synthweaving seems to be the rarest, and they go for 50..100k on GTN. Patterns for augments with presense are the cheapest.
