Jedi temple rebuilt?

This has been bugging me since I made my consular last February about the jedi temple at Corusant, is bioware have plans to have it rebuilt for the mmo on the later expansions or what ever they gonna call it? I am sure it won't be in this coming expansion or whatever but hopefully we will see it on later ones.

You must not be following the story. The Jedi Order moved off of Coruscant for a reason. The story (and pre-story) go into all the details. Once you look those up, you will understand.

while you are correct we know they move back eventually she is simply asking if it will be in the game at all ever or after the game.

Yes, but there is some 3000 years before WE see it. No, I don't think it will (or would) take 3000 years but that fact leaves a lot of wiggle room.

they preferred using Tython and Ossus ( Well Did with Ossus until Kun's disciple blew up it's sun) in this era anyway as those were the main points for the Ashla and Bogan, then eventually out to places like Ando Prime where they set a few places while studying teachings of Bendu, so there really is no major reason for them to rush construction, and those things take years if not decades to do anyway.

It would be nice if it was rebuilt, for I want to be part of the Sacking of Coruscant 2.0 :D

C'mon, the Jedi are just hypocrites. They say they are all like zen-Buddhist then come pointing lightsabers in my face just because I do stuff they don't agree with. Bloody fascists.

Agreed.

As much as I love playing a goody two shoes, the Jedi Order reeks of hypocrisy.

It is the self-righteous fascist motto 'For The Greater Good' all over again.

And by 'Good' they mean what they consider good based on arbitrary criteria

BEING Zen Buddhist myself ( soto) they sort of have things like the 8 fold path, and such as a loophole along with the precepts... because it's not a dogmatic " rule" it's something to be contemplated, argued, interpreted etc etc as an individual.

So that does sort of give them wiggle room " for better or worse- usually both " because while pointing the saber in your face for j-walking they are thinking they are using right thought, right intention, right action etc etc etc

well that and you have a bunch of writers in the books and games and all that who rather use them as magic commandos because- hell it sells, and it does not require actually being mindful and understanding of the source behind the lore.

even George forgot when he realized throwing a lightsaber onto anything will make it sell better.

The Noble Octuple Way and the Four Truths (both are literal translations, I've read the books in French).

I studied that as well some years ago ^^

My bad, figured it was fine being the philosophy (not a religion) that the jedi were based on almost identically - as intended- That said; I'll be a good girl and drop it ^_^ back to what I was saying, Lore wise the Coruscant temple was not really a major major point until much later, before then ( like in this era) places of Ashla/Bogan/Dai Bendu/Je'daii significance were preferred- except Ossus, which as I said is sort of...not useable currently- and your looking at decade or more of work to fix . That makes it highly improbable that we would see a new " rebuilt" map anytime soon .

I'd actually prefer to see some of the other worlds that were called home following the migrations and force wars myself, but I have a deep deep love for pre republic history

Now *that* would be an awesome warzone. Team wins are based solely on kill-counters. Whichever side has fewest deaths wins. (not most kills, since 3 or 4 people can get credit for one kill if it's done right)

Make it happen, Bioware.

THat is pretty much the best way to go about it in that situation " not even so much coruscant but any significant location" I think of all my characters my sniper has the biggest kill list, and Im sure 90% of those just came from making the final killing blow with headshot or some such

Have you ever played one of the Jedi stories? Or is this another bias based only on the Sith Warrior story like 90% of what I hear against the Jedi here?

We know that the temple was rebuilt. Episode One confirms this. It is just a matter of when.

My guess is that it does not happen until the Empire is defeated and the Rule of One Sith concept goes in to effect which greatly reduces the Sith's number. Having not read the books that state the time line when that rule is enforced, I cannot say when that happened though.

*Edit. What Kael said.

Actually since this is now considered Legends and it follows the Legends storyline, we can expect the Coruscant Temple to be rebuilt very soon. Reconstruction began right around the timeline we are in now. Note that only the Temple itself is being repaired. Full restoration went on for the next few millennia. The spires, or towers, however will not be restored until 1,000 BBY, during the Ruusan Reformation. if you were hoping to run into the Council chambers, think again. Not in this game, but they could start moving the Order back to Coruscant and keep Tython as a training center(makes sense given the start of the game).

Jedi do not fight for Peace. That's only a slogan, and is as misleading, as slogans always are. Jedi fight for Civilization, because only Civilization creates Peace. - Jedi Master Mace Windu

Tython got rekt, too, though.

The rebuilding efforts began circa 3500 BBY, meaning we're still about 40 years away (Invasion of Ziost was 3540 BBY).

And it took three millennia, so about 1500 BBY it was completed. Meaning we might get to see the start of rebuilding but no way to make it logical to see it completed within SWTOR.

They call that "aggressive negotiations."

why would it take that long to rebuild it, the empire built the DS2 is half the time of DS1.

Well, first the Jedi Council needs to reach the point where it can go back to Coruscant again. That won't happen in a few thousand years. It isn't so much the rebuilding itself as it is the idea of it, if that makes sense to you.
