kharnynb
The biggest issue i see with crafting at the moment, is that there is too little raw materials around. 1. add a lot more raw spawns especially in places as empty as tatooine. 2. lower the price of the white crafting mats by about half. 3. lower the initial fee for posting on the gtn. That should increase the amount of green and maybe even blue items on the gtn.
Demorgoth
1: Most hardcore crafters don't get the majority of their materials from 'the field' anyway. If there was more incentive to 'farm' area by having more nodes, higher levels would farm them leaving nothing for appropriate levels. 2: If you can gather the materials, you can already run missions for all the white crafting mats at a fraction of the price of buying them directly from a vendor 3: The initial 'fee' is refunded when the item expires - whether it sells or not. As I understand it, it's just there to stop people cancelling auctions early (to 'leapfrog' repost I'm guessing) and if you don't cancel the auction the only cost is the 3% (or 5%?)commission taken from a successful item sale
