In KOTOR you had pod racing that was on every single planet.

 

If they introduce it into the game, it will give players a new reason to revisit older planets. It's similar to the darkmoon faire in WoW, only instead of just switching between Goldshire and Mulgore, the pod racing tournaments will be held in different planets.

 

This will give a sense of how huge the galaxy is.

i think when designing this game, Bioware banked very heavily on "story" over all other aspects of the game, including immersion. i think Pazaak would help to provide that special something that Kotor and Kotor 2 had that SWTOR just seems to lack. i think it would be a fun diversion from the daily grind. and of course it would have to have a player vs player aspect, not just matches against the AI.

i also like the idea of the poster above me, we need more special events! festivals, pod racing tournaments, pazaak tournaments. give players an excuse to travel back to older planets, (bonus series do not count) more special events would make the game world feel more alive, as some have said, it does seems rather lifeless sometimes. there has to be more to the game than end game daily gear grind and class story.

I personally cannot for the life of me comprehend why anyone would log into an MMO to play a card game. It makes no sense whatsoever. If you want to play Pazaak why not install KOTOR? I don't get it, sorry.

 

Why would anyone log into an MMO to play a card game? I don't know... perhaps the people who play the in-game Football game, Star Fox clone, dating sim, or economic market sim have a similar reason?(hint: it's a personal taste thing) This game has more depth than many are willing to admit. "A card game" would be a great addition to that mix.

This is something that could add alot of flavor to the game and give players something to do in between smashing through content. Weekly tournaments on Nar Shaddaa for each faction, and potentially a monthly tournament where Republic and Empire can play against each other in a grand tourament for extremely rare prizes (or a crap ton of credits)

 

Swoop Bike Racing would also be just as awesome. Planetary circuits that you compete in, starting on capital worlds. Can not race the next circuit without clearing the previous planets circuit. Similiar to space combat, win a race. Get tokens and upgrades for your swoop bike.

Hear, hear! They even have an unusable Sabaac table in the Esseles and the item "Hand-Painted Pazaak Card", but no actual games to use them for. Although the card is a companion gift, so that's moot anyway. Doesn't stop me from treasuring it, though.

I support them fixing major issues before they start bringing in more broken features. I am all for some mini games though, just not until the fix the actual game.

while I never played pazaak in kotor I still think it belongs in this game.

I am sure Star Trek Online has Dabo which basically lets you gamble in game credits. So if they can do it within the law and without mass demonstrations, pretty sure this game can.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I want Pazaak.

Why would I care if they added something to the game that I avoided in KOTOR? In KOTOR it was pointless and added nothing to the story. If they put it in SWTOR, I will almost definitely avoid it here too. If people want to play pazaak, the only problem I see is that some (probably most) would rather see real story related content added than this.

I already play Pazaak in game, I have ever since the "/roll" system was brought in, heck they hold little championships between players on some servers and judges pick out your +/- cards before hand and the rest is done with the roll system, and you can view each others rolls aslonga s your in the same group and close by so no cheating happens

Didn't they say that pazaak and other games would be added? I'm so up for that.

 

 

I did notice that you can click on the gaming tables on the Esseles, but nothing happens, Yet.

 

Yes, that table has always been glowy/clickable. And almost every time I've gone by it I've clicked the damn thing in hopes that'd be the day they ninja'd Pazaak in.
