halosavior
Hello, SWTOR's Role Play forum board! I hail from the EBHawk website, a website that caters to the players on The Ebon Hawk (PvE-RP) server. Our server has seen a notable increase of transfers, and the point of this thread is to encourage and/or facilitate any other interested players who are looking for more role play opportunities. As one of the administrators for EBHawk, I make it a point to cross-post all of the events across several community websites and social platforms, and I figured why not give the general Role Play forums some love? To avoid clutter, I will be regulating everything to this thread as post-replies, so it is in your best interest to keep checking back for new replies as new events are cross-posted. Hope to see some of you soon! Edited October 6, 2015 by halosavior
halosavior
Jedi Twilight Lectures (hosted every Tuesday) originally posted on EH Community. Quick Information Host: Vivek (Republic) Who: Jedi characters What: Supplementary lectures and lessons Where: Coruscant Enclave #7 (Coruscant Apartment Public Listing) When: Tuesdays @ ~10pm EST ____________________________________________________ Event Premise In addition to its role in the Jedi Reintegration Program, Coruscant Enclave #7 also serves as an alternate location for Academy-approved lessons and courses for intermittent Initiates and Padawans who are away from Tython or their Masters. Although a number of Jedi Knights stationed on Coruscant Enclave #7 are present to provide counsel and instruction as needed, Master Vivek Eron has expressed a desire to share his near fifty years' worth of knowledge and experience with the next generation of Jedi when his schedule allows. All lectures featured will be introductory in nature, and reflective of the lessons taught at the Academy. Attendants will be free to ask general questions following each lecture, but personalized or in-depth discussions should be reserved for a later time. Character Involvement Jedi of any rank and specialization will be allowed to attend, but it should be noted that all lessons are designed for Initiates and Padawans-in-training; attending Knights and Masters will be asked to refrain from comment until the lecture has ended. Padawans who are waiting to be selected, or Padawans who have Masters with sporadic schedules are encouraged to attend to prevent lapses in their ongoing training. On special occasion, non-Jedi will be allowed to attend, and select dates will feature guest speakers. Advanced notice will be given, so interested parties can plan accordingly. Out of Character Information This event is open to Jedi characters (barring special occasions with advance notice), and will take place on Tuesdays at approximately 10pm EST. Lectures will take place in the Main Hall on the second floor of Coruscant Enclave #7 (listed as "Vivek's Jedi Academy" on the Coruscant Apartment Strongholds Public Directory). The purpose of these lectures is to provide role players and their characters the knowledge and experience of training in the absence of a player-character Master, or characters who have yet to reach padawan eligibility. Players are encouraged to use these lessons and lectures to educate themselves alongside their characters. Lectures are to be treated as just that, lectures. Attendants are kindly asked to sit down, shut up, and listen After each lesson, there will be time for a short question-and-answer session, and then open discussion following that. This is to prevent chat scroll, and to prevent conflicting opinions from interrupting the flow of the lecture or detracting from the topic itself. Non-Jedi are more than welcome to lamp shade out-of-character in either of the stair wells, but are also asked to keep emotes and chatter to a minimum. halosavior
Riot Day (Imperial event) was originally posted on EH Community. Quick Information Host: Puren (Empire) Who: Rioters (PCs or PC stand-ins as NPCs) and Riot suppression forces What: Riots in the Imperial capitol Where: Kaas City, Dromund Kaas (Instance 1) When: Friday, August 7th @ 8:30pm EST _______________________________________________ Riot Day Greetings, denizens of Ebhawk! With the horrific demise of Ziost still fresh in the minds of the Empire's citizens, few are as afraid as the refugees of that obliterated world themselves. Now, with few meaningful or visible changes in policy enacted to counter their former Emperor, the fear of these refugees is starting to lead towards anger, and we all know what comes after that. Hoping to make their voices heard, these refugees are planning a public gathering...one considerably less loyal people are hoping to turn to their own ends... Where and When This will be in Kaas City, on August 7th, at 8:30 PM EST. Who's Invited? For the forces of law and order---members of the Imperial Suppression Initiative, and any other Intelligence personnel and bounty hunters contacted by Puren. Rank-and-file riot troopers will be NPC'd by the GM, me, but they won't be doing much unless they receive orders from other PCs or are specifically targetted. For the rioters themselves----anyone and everyone! Feel like slinging bottles at Imperial troopers? Maybe you want to try and break a shield wall or two? Or perhaps you simply want to shout angry slogans about how you were abandoned and left to die? This is the event for you! What to Expect So! Having recently completed my course and practical exercise on conducting "civil disturbance" (read: riot control) operations out here at MP school, I figured it would be pretty sick to revive that idea that was floated around a while back and have a riot break out on Dromund Kaas. Of course, some dissident elements might have considerably less understandable motives in ensuring things get as nasty as possible so the situation may very well escalate... A word of warning for folks playing rioters, though---Imperial rules of engagement are considerably laxer than those of the US Army. Live rounds will, depending on player choice, be used. I highly recommend using your PCs as stand-ins for other characters, or simply making use of 12x XP and levelling up new toons to access DK, because the Imperial forces will not be pulling any punches. I will not kill off any mains without consent. But if you're using a toon as a stand-in, or roll a throwaway, I'm going to assume they're fair game unless you tell me otherwise. The outcome is by no means predetermined; the rioters may very well convince the riot troopers to break and run rather than vice versa! It's all down to you, the writers. Combat will be decided by D20 rolls, plain and simple. No worries about modifiers, character sheets, any of that stuffs. If few folks don't want to play the rioters, this event will still happen, I'll simply NPC the other rioters as well. Hope you folks are interested, and looking forward to locking shields with you. For the Empire! Edited August 4, 2015 by halosavior

OOC INFORMATION I've held this event privately twice now with a handful of people each time, both times successful. The premise for the event is rather simple: Your character (for whatever reason) is aboard a transport shuttle from point A to point B when they stumble across a distress beacon. The transport reroutes to take aboard stranded refugees when suddenly things take a terrible turn. Your character--along with others--must fight to survive and either kill or chase away the otherworldly creature causing the chaos. (Imagine those hundred dollar a plate charity dinners elsewhere in real life.) Anyone who would be likely to come out to the cantina would expect to see regularly priced drinks (unlike Cantina nights, which are two-for-one specials like a happy hour). All bachelors/bachelorettes and winning bidders should consider themselves to have received a personal invitation from HHN to attend (including a free dinner)! If anyone would like to volunteer to provide IC entertainment, please contact me in a private message between now and the event, and we'll get that set up! Out of Character Information This is essentially my thank you to everyone who participated in the charity auction last month and the fulfillment of my promise that all the funds raised would go to door prizes for this event. Even if you didn't make it to the auction, you're more than welcome to come to this, and it doesn't cost you a credit OOCly! As always, you're welcome to RP out whatever personal plots/storyline points that you'd like that fit within the setting, HOWEVER, I would ask that you refrain from anything that would be disruptive to the theme of the event or anything violent in nature. (You're more than welcome to come back on Thursday for cantina night with those things, so long as violence is kept 'outside' on the balcony or the street, as per usual.) Door Prize Information I will be keeping a list of everyone who responds to this thread or sends me a whisper in game on the night of the event that is interested in winning a door prize. If you choose to send me a whisper, please make sure I confirm your request in a return whisper, as I can sometimes lose track of things in the scroll! Door prizes will be handed out at random intervals throughout the night in no particular order. I will essentially roll on the list for the next winner, then call out their name ICly. Winners must be present to receive their door prize. If a prize is not claimed within five minutes, another winner will be chosen. Faction will not be an issue, as there will be someone on hand to assist me in handing out prizes.
halosavior
End of Days: Icebreaker Originally posted on EH Community Quick Information Host: Sinclair, Gruuvan Who: All Imperial and Republic aligned players. What: Conflict over mysterious crashed shuttle. Where: The Broken Blade, Hoth. When: August 5th, 2015. 8:00 PM EST _______________________________________ Ebon Hawk: End of Days Icebreaker >>View Promotional Video<< Welcome to the final days of the war... The war still rages, every hour of every day. Across the galaxy, stars burn and two towering civilizations bleed in a desperate attempt to find an advantage against one another. An unknown vessel hurtling to the ground on Hoth, however, gave both nations pause. It's binary screeching across all comm frequencies in the area matched no known signatures. What meager visuals there were as the strange spacecraft hurtled towards the Starship Graveyard matched no known ID that they were familiar with. Indeed, both nations stood quite stupid in that moment. Whatever this was... Whoever this was... They were new. They were a variable. And they needed to explored. ... Dig in your heels and make your claim. The Empire and the Republic both want to discover whatever crashed on Hoth. It could be game changing, or it could be harmless. Either way, they can't let it fall into enemy hands. The Galactic Republic, with their overwhelming successes across multiple theaters, safely have the Empire on the run. Indeed, what meager holdings of the Empire that remain on Hoth, cut off and isolated from the bulk of their force in the Seat of the Empire, will surely not be able to match the deployment of a dedicated Republic attack squad, bolstered by the support of loyalists, Jedi, and smugglers encouraged with the promise of finding (and potentially 'borrowing') assets in the rush of war. We can finish the Sith Empire. We need only land the final blow. The Sith Empire's goal of holding off the Republic's advances hit yet another snag with the consumption of Ziost. Darth Marr bitterly attempts to keep together his remaining might, not daring to risk to much when the threat of complete annihlaition is just around the corner. Yet not all is lost. This oddity may yet prove to be the answer to the Empire's weaknesses. When it comes to ice and snow, the Empire's allies in the Chiss Ascendancy are the experts. For this reason, a unified force of CEDF Chiss, Imperial Soldiers, Imperial Hunters, and powerful Lords of the Sith will be able to strike fast, strike hard, and secure this new asset, just as they did at Makeb. This war isn't over yet. Not by a long shot. The Crash Site >>View World Map<< The unknown vessel crashed in an area known as the Broken Blade, located along a road to Hoth. As soon as the blizzard in the area lets up, it is almost certain that both factions will rush to claim the area. <RULES OF THE EVENT> Welcome to our first event of Ebon Hawk: End of Days. These are a series of planned events to tease and lead us into Knights of the Fallen Empire. We will try to touch on different parts of the community with each event, with different motives, goals, and attendants. In each event, there will be a 'winning' faction, which will ideally give that faction a small advantage in a future event. Events are going to range from Combat Roleplay to Gala Events to Datacron hunting, with user input and contributions a top priority. This is meant, more than anything, to send off the last four years of Roleplay with a bang. All players, guilds, and communities are invited to join. The only rule for participation is that you abide by the established rules for each event, and common decency to your fellow players. I am the community coordinator for this, and if you have any questions, feel free to direct them to me. <Act I: Icebreaker> Icebreaker is the codename for the skirmish between Republic and Imperial forces at the crash site of a mysterious craft. The goal of the mission to to secure the crashed vessel for future study, keeping it out of the other faction's hands. Both factions will send an attack force, which will break into open conflict on sight, ending only when one side or the other retreats, leaving the prize to the victor. This event is a Combat-Oriented hybrid of Dice RP and Freeform RP, meant to give everyone a chance to participate with some semblance of fairness. Our system is designed to maximize personal freedom, while still offering some level of 'chance' for everyone. Each player will have the option to roll a set of dice to contribute to the attack power of his faction, explained as follows. The Dice Rolls are not used to determine attack or defense, nor the failure and successes of characters, but instead the tide of battle. At the beginning of each round, people roll their dice for their faction, and their total scores add up to determine how successful their attacks will be for the group as a whole. The enemy faction does the same, and the GM announces the changes on the field of battle for players to react to. There is then a time period for players to free-form roleplay the announced outcome, however they see fit. The rolls will dynamically change the battlefield and encourage shifts on how role players react. When one faction overwhelms the other over a series of rolls, the losing faction will be routed, and the event will end in a victory for the remaining faction. If you are interested in this event, please fill out this tiny form. If you do not fill out the form and attend, your potency will be set to Rank 2. Name: [your in-game name you plan to use for the event] Faction: [republic or empire] Combat Potency: [see below] Combat Potency System Explained Roll RP is oftentimes a bit unreasonable. I am supremely skeptical that a Sith Lord should have any issue cutting down a defenseless slave, but a bad roll, and there you are. A system was proposed that I think is far more fair, which I call Combat Potency, is aimed at bridging that gap while still allowing rolls. Each user is asked to rank their character's power based on the scale below. Where your character falls on this scale is entirely up to you, and determines the number of dice you are given to roll towards attacking the opposing faction. Rank 1: Normal. Civilians, Acolytes, Military Privates, non-combatants. [2d5] Rank 2: Combatant. Padawans, Apprentices, Street Toughs, Bounty Hunters and Smugglers. [3d5] Rank 3: Veteran. Jedi Knights, Sith Lords, Experienced Bounty Hunters and Smugglers, Experienced Soldiers and Agents. [4d5] Rank 4: Hero. Jedi Masters, Dark Lords of the Sith (Darth), Infamous Hunters and Smugglers, Fabeled Soldiers and Agents. [5d5] Rank 5: Legends. The Hero of Tython, Darth Nox. In other words, Legends are meant to be characters of extordinary skill and merit beyond all others. [6d5] Unranked: Don't like the system at all? Well, feel free to join us anyway! Since the rolls do not directly endanger anyone, any and all are welcomed to join us, and experience the dynamics of battle alongside your comrades. In each round of combat, you will roll the corresponding number of dice upon your turn (/roll 2d5 if you are Rank 1, for example) contributing to your factions overall attack score. In whole, this event isn't about winning or losing, but instead about getting a chance to role play in a unique way on a unique battlefield. Every single person in our community is actively encouraged to consider joining us in this venture, and keep their eyes out for the next event. Coming Soon: "To Break the Codex" An event centered around datacrons, forbidden knowledge, hidden relics, and archaeological adventures.

On August 29th Thul Palace will open its illustrious doors to all distinguished lords and ladies for the Third Annual Summer Starlight Charity Gala. This year, the formal event is being held as a Black & Silver Ball to benefit the Legacy of Ziost Memorial Fund, which honors those who were lost and assists those who remain, our hallowed Imperial brothers and sisters. All proceeds from the evening, especially the Volunteer Dinner Date Auction, go directly to the resettlement of Ziost refugees and official remembrance projects. >>View Promotional Image<< The enchanting evening will begin with a toast of emerald wine paired with a short welcome speech. The winners will enjoy exclusively dancing, dining, and sharing conversation with their date until the midnight close of the event, when they cordially part ways for the evening. All proceeds will go toward supporting the Ziost Memorial on Kaas along with the Ziost Refugee Resettlement Program, run by the Imperial Diplomatic Service's Ziost Relations and Support Outreach Team. Guests are encouraged to show their support by wearing some form of black or silver hue, in honor of Ziost's ashen remembrance. <*> Tickets for the Black & Silver Ball can be reserved in advance by contacting host Cayle Evanz, the event organizer, or purchased at the door upon arrival. All Ziost citizens are welcome to attend free of charge, including transportation and attire upon request. We look forward to sharing your refined company and crafting a memorable evening of dancing, dining, and remembrance, beneath the starry summer skies of Alderaan. Charity Dinner Date Auction Rules 1. Real credits will be used in bidding. 2. A bidder can only win one date for the evening. 3. The Volunteer will spend the full course of the event dancing, chatting, and dining exclusively with the Winner. 4. The Winner will pay the Volunteer 80% of the total winning bid and the host will accept 20%, on behalf of the hosting Guild. 5. The dinner date concludes at midnight when the gala event ends, although guests are welcome to stay as long as they would like. >>View Event Map<< Who Can Attend? > All members of the Ebon Hawk Community are invited We request that all attending characters please wear some form of formal attire to further enhance the aristocratic atmosphere of the event (even if your character is sneaking in, incognito, or not financially well-to-do). This is a very formal Imperial event being held at Empire-backed House Thul, and in order to enhance the atmosphere for all players, please be mindful of the setting and political circumstances, and attend on an Imperial character (or undercover Imperial Alt of a Republic Character). We also ask that players please be respectful of the royal environment, and while having fun, still act accordingly for the setting. This is a palace ballroom, it is not a cantina on Nar Shaddaa. If a conflict arises and escalates, we ask in advance that the parties involved immediately shift outside of the ballroom. We would really like to preserve the atmosphere of the event realistically, so that everyone may enjoy the glittering evening to its fullest, with a relaxing evening of upper-crust socializing and dancing. <*> While characters are welcome to contact Cayle Evanz and reserve tickets, such is not necessary to attend, and no actual credits will be paid for the tickets. Characters may also make a ‘donation’ to support the charity, but it will be an IC gesture only, not real credits. Volunteers Needed! > Dinner Date Volunteers Dinner date charity auction volunteers are requested for the event! Preferably characters that hold some form of title, prestige, pedigree, (noble blood relation, Sith rank, celebrity, leadership position, any military or political rank) or celebrated talent (musician, artist, academic, doctor, connoisseur, etc). The character does not have to be single to be charity auctioned, but will have to spend the duration of the event dancing, dining, and chatting with the winner of the bid. The idea is that, for the sake of the social function and/or charitable cause, these established individuals are placing themselves at the cordial mercy of their peers for a pleasant evening. > How Does Dinner Date Volunteering Work? Each volunteer will be lead across the throne room stage, helped onto the display pedestal, and then the host will formally introduce them to the crowd (based on information provided ahead of time). The bidding will begin using real credits, following the equitable rule that 80% of the winning bid goes to the volunteer, and 20% goes to the hosting guild’s bank (which in this case is Of The Shadow Star). The winner will pay on the spot, and escort their date back to the ballroom floor, to take part in the opening dance for the evening once the auction has concluded. > Palace Event Volunteers We are also quite open to characters volunteering as palace guards, security, butlers, serving maids, bartenders, and musicians to help enhance the event, and warmly welcome back those who have done so in previous years if they are interested. Please contact Çayle [impside] if you’re interested. We encourage you to query and spread the word IC as well! > How does one Volunteer? Merely contact Cayle by sending a PM or leaving a comment here. Volunteer slots will be filled on a first come, first serve, basis. When all of the slots have been filled, a note will be posted. Thank you kindly for your interest! >>View Promotional Image<< How Do I Enjoy The Event? ~ Has your character been harboring a crush on another character? In a romantic rivalry? We strongly encourage RPers to use this event not only as a platform to meet other players, make high-end contacts in the Galactic upper-crust, but enjoy some competitive social romance conflict. In light of the later, we will not be arranging for any officially preset bids to take place, since the unknown factor adds to the IC drama, and the date is for only one evening and restricted to the event itself. ~ Is your character seeking lucrative contacts while passing themselves off as heirs or nouveau riche? Hiding shady dealings beneath a flawless exterior? Are they capable of going undercover to gather information about the wealthy and powerful? The gala event is an ideal environment! ~ Want to show off your character's affluence? Compete with other players on the bidding floor to obtain the status of an auction winner, claiming your celebrity for the evening gala on behalf of charity. We need bidders even more so than those to bid upon, and the more the livelier the show. This is your character’s time to adorn themselves in formal attire and stride down the red carpet surrounded by royal glitz and glamour, an elite event to see and be seen. So polish up your power bases, Moffs, Sith Lords, socialites, bodyguards, spies, and come waltz with the Galaxy’s rich and famous!

Quick Information Host: Gimble, Wéasel (Empire, Alt+130), Ta'sah (Republic) Who: 'Network' Slicers What: Challenging the Guardian Slicing Droid When: Tuesday September 8th @ 9 PM EST (Planning RP Night) Thursday, September 10th @ 9 PM EST (Slicing Mission Night) Where: The Hub (Nar Shaddaa Stronghold - whisper Wéasel or Ta'sah for invite) Note: See the Network Community thread for more details _______________________________________ >>View Promotional Image<< Intro NS Labs, a leading cybersecurity firm located on Nar Shaddaa is weeks away from releasing their revolutionary Guardian slicing droid. The cybertech company is well known for its cutting edge software and advanced droid technology, but innovation from its competitors in recent years has forced NS Labs to think outside the box. While most companies rely on security experts, software programmers, and vulnerability consultants, NS Labs determined that those best suited to create the latest and greatest in slicing droid deterrence software were the very same criminal slicers so often working to beat them. Partnering with several correctional facilities around the galaxy, the NS Labs Guardian was designed by some of the underworld's most infamous slicers in exchange for reduced prison sentences and additional privileges during their incarceration. Industry insiders are calling the Guardian a game-changer. Unfortunately for NS Labs, the Network has decided to ensure that any company willing to employ turncoats and sell-outs needs to be taught a harsh and expensive lesson. Premise [night 1 - planning] The slicers of the Network have been called to the Hub for the purposes of plotting a nefarious scheme. While the invitation provides little in the way of details, rumors in the Void suggest that a large scale slicing operation is underway. There is surely more information to be gained if one chooses to answer the mysterious invitation to travel to the underground safe haven where they'll have a chance to be briefed on the Network's next target and come face to face with the very same slicers they'll have to rely on to get the job done. [night 2 - slicing mission] After a briefing at the Hub and hours of planning and coordination, the Network slicers gather to challenge the Guardian, an advanced prototype slicer droid built and programmed by some of the most infamous slicers in the galaxy. NS Labs threatens to set a dangerous precedent by leveraging incarcerated slicers to expose secrets of the illicit trade and teach the slicer droid how to adapt to the tendencies and strategies of criminal slicers. The Network is seeking to make an example of NS Labs and deter any other corporations from following suit. But the question remains. Can the Guardian be beaten? OOC Details [night 1 - tuesday] This event will be a combination social RP to interact with some fellow slicers and a briefing for the Thursday mission. Anyone who plays a slicer in any faction and has submitted a character sheet in the Network thread (located here: The Network) is welcome to attend. [night 2 - thursday] This event will be the first Network slicing mission using the Network slicing system (found here: Slicing System ). Anyone who plays a slicer in any faction and has submitted a character sheet in the Network thread (located here: The Network) is welcome to attend. You don't need to have attend the briefing event in order to participate in the slicing mission event. Compensation for the job was paid out in the form of stolen financial data which Network slicers are anxious to divvy up and sell to the highest bidders. Word has spread through the criminal underworld that the stolen data from the bank job is now for sale. Financial history, personal data, and bank accounts are available for trade or purchase, and those who specialize in the dealing of sensitive data for the purposes of blackmail, investigation, or just good old-fashioned identity theft are being invited to the Hub to make a mutually beneficial arrangement with Network slicers. OOC Details This event will be a social RP for players from both factions who are either current members of the Network or prospective members of the Network as well as any players from both factions who are interested in buying or trading for stolen financial data. Information brokers, undercover SIS or Imperial Intelligence Agents, or anyone who might've had information in the bank that they don't want getting out are welcome to attend. Actual credits are not required for the purposes of buying data, but we'd encourage everyone looking to buy to set a realistic limit based on what their character might have access to and those looking to sell to find creative ways to settle bidding wars (in the form of trades of services or goods). The main goal is to stimulate RP and give characters who actually make a living dealing in information the opportunity to obtain some.

halosavior
Skirmish (RP-PvP) Originally posted on EH Community. Quick Information Host:Aker (Imperial), Meshaw (Republic) Who: Imperial and Republic combat personnel. What: An RP-PvP battle of (hopefully) epic proportions. Where: TBD, will be released privately to 'Skirmish' commanders and distributed from there. When: Saturday, September 19th 2015, @ 4PM EST _________________________________________ What is Skirmish? Simply put, Skirmish is an RP-PvP event I plan on hosting roughly once a month, or perhaps even every other month. The intent behind it, is to further explore the conflict between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, and role-play through a series of (potentially) large-scale battles. I envision people from both factions gathering together under one banner, discussing war-plans and putting together a solid set of tactics in hopes of crushing the enemy. Additionally I think it should be a lot of fun, and offer a unique opportunity to meet new people and characters, outside of the traditional 'gala/party' type atmosphere. Additionally it may add some conflict into RP, perhaps your character remembers that grisly looking bastard that gave them a new scar, and just so happens to spot them on a neutral world. Or even better it brings the potential for alliances and friendships. Arguably there is no greater bond than that forged in the fires of combat. Imagine your character being able to sit back with a fellow Veteran and regale others with their war stories. How Does It Work? Just about everyone wants to be a winner, there is nothing as sweet as the taste of victory over an adversary. And this is precisely the opportunity to allow your character to savor just that. So here are the ways in which 'Skirmish' will work. Skirmish will initially begin with role-playing, in which a chosen commander for each faction will have to rally their troops and begin preparations for the coming battle. I will then send a 'Warning Order', as we call it in the military to each Commander, which will provide them with the details of where the conflict will occur, and what their objectives will be. The intent behind sending this via PM, is to minimize outside PvP influence and keep things controlled. On the day of the Skirmish, both sides will group together into 'Ops groups', proceed to their specified start points and will be given the word of when to begin. Right now I plan on using 3 objectives per 'Skirmish', in which both sides will fight for control in the specified area. There will be no respawns allowed, once you're down, you're out for that area. Whichever side is left standing at the end of the conflict, will be determined the victor. We will continue this across the three objectives until there is a best two out of three. For the actual fighting, it will be no bars, PvP. However, Guild Ship support boosts, and companions will not be authorized. Anyone found using either of these will be immediately removed from the event, and possibly barred from future attendance. Anyone participating must be in the ops-groups. If anyone attempts to bring in reinforcements that are not part of the ops-group, they risk being removed from the event, and possibly barred from future events. Remember, this is for fun. Sure you can get your rocks off by saying you beat down so and so, but at the end of the day it's about having a good time, and doing something memorable. As a key note, dying in combat during PvP does not constitute your character being injured, or killed by any means. It is your character, and you are free to do as you please. At all times we will strive to keep the ops groups balanced to ensure fair game-play across the board. However in the future we may restrict certain classes to a certain amount and so forth. The main objective will be to control the zone, if a team controls the zone undisputed for greater than 15 minutes, they will be declared the victors. However, teams are allowed to engage the enemy anywhere they find them. So if you want to risk setting up an ambush in an effort to try and hold off your opponents before they can get to the zone, you're welcomed to. But if they bypass you and hold the objective, you may be **** out of luck. Commanders Anyone wishing to become a commander for their faction, need only to apply within this thread. A list will be compiled and added to this thread as it continues. Commanders for Skirmishes will be determined by means of a 'random roll'. Please be mindful that the person selected as your 'Faction's commander is the overall individual responsible for the success, or failure of the Skirmish. Treat them with respect and dignity, just as you would wish to be treated. Should an issue arise in which people simply "Don't get along", it will be handled by myself. Commander's Application [b]In-Game Name:[/b] [b]Faction:[/b] [b]Associated Guild:[/b] You may PM this to me, or simply post it in this thread. Rules of the Game Just to recap. 1.) Treat each other with dignity and respect, and have fun. 2.) This is PvP, you're advised to show up in ranked gear and bring your best. 3.) Medpacks, Stims, and adrenals are authorized for use. 4.) You -must- be in the ops-group on your chosen faction's side. If you're not in the ops group, you risk being barred from future events, or possibly *********** this up for the rest of us. 5.) Your character doesn't have to ICly participate in the combat, you're always welcomed to NPC some random joe on the battlefield if that fits your interest. 6.) You decide your character's fate. No one can kill someone else's character without their explicit consent, or cause bodily harm to them. That is for the player to decide after the PvP has concluded. 7.) You are not authorized to bring companions, or have active guild ship orbital support. 8.) Faction leaders are encouraged to be on mumble/teamspeak or other VOIP together to allow for more fluid, cross-faction communication. 9.) We will do our best to keep the sides evenly balanced to the best of our abilities. 10.) Referees will be present from both sides, and will be un-flagged so as not to be mistakenly targeted. And will help solve any issues that may arise. 11.) Holding the objective undisputed for greater than 15 minutes will result in a victory for that zone. 12.) All players interested in participating, are encouraged to post in this thread. Once the commanders have been chosen, their names will be distributed so you may contact them freely. Here is a quick example >>View Example Image<< Bear in mind this location is not ideal, as there are a lot of mobs in the areas I have marked off. This is not an actual combat area, and is merely being used as a tool to help explain how everything will work. And before anyone says it, I know the starting locations are not even, I'm working on finding suitable locations. Initially the Republic team would begin at the Republic Waystation and hold there. Meanwhile the Imperial team would be starting at the Imperial Waystation. The leaders will both be given the 'Green light', to begin attacking the first zone, area one. The teams are authorized to attack each other anywhere in between the starting areas and the objective. But if one team manages to hold the objective undisputed for fifteen minutes, they will be declared the victors of that area. Prior to a winner being announced, all players will reset to their starting positions and prepare to attack zone two. So that's pretty much the jist of it. I'm still working out some more of the kinks, but by all means if you have any comments, concerns or ideas feel free to post below.

That question is at the forefront of research at the Rhinnal State Medical Academy. One of the top medical academies in the galaxy, the institution is responsible not only for producing some of the best medical experts but cutting edge research and technological innovations in the field of medicine. One of their most prestigious programs is the development of a positronic brain that scientists and researchers believe could one day be used to upload the contents of a living mind, preserving not only memories, but personality and consciousness. While the program is still years away from being fully functional, it has stimulated a heated debate among the life sciences community about the ethics of such technology. Despite several threats from anti-technology activist groups, the academy plans to continue with their research. But one activist group is going beyond just idle threats and has commissioned the Network slicers to access the research Academy and bring the program to a permanent halt. Many of you do not know me. Some of you do. My name, is Verros. I have been tasked with an important mission. One that I can not hope to accomplish alone. In my travels, I have learned of a Sith Lord known only as the "Gatekeeper," with unusual ties to a tribe of Sand People on Tatooine. The relationship held no benefit for him, begging the question why he bothered with them. I intend to find out why. Why do I ask for your help? The fate of the very galaxy may hang in the balance. Should you choose to assist me, then we shall meet on Tython. For the good of all life in the galaxy, I urge you to think carefully about your decision." Character Involvement Rumor's been floating around for a while now, of something happening in Sand People Territory on Tatooine. Some speculate treasure. Others suspect a gang war. Whatever it is, there's trouble. And now that someone's asking for help to go in and find something? Must be important. This event should appeal to characters with a love for Mystery, Credits, the Republic herself, or just plain combat, pure and simple. Out of Character Information Thank you for being so interested that you actually read this far! Legacy of the Gree is an event of mine that's THREE YEARS IN THE MAKING! ((Yes, that's a three. Like, I haven't even been playing SWTOR that long.)) Every action my characters have ever taken has been in preparation for this event, so I do hope it's worth it! The OOC premise is that Kyyrin Verros has discovered a link between the Sith and the Sand People that, quite frankly, should not exist. He's been investigating on his own for some time, now, but he can't do it all alone. And now, it's clear someone, or someTHING else is interested in the same goals he is. Whatever this secret is, it's one that his father died to protect. Welcome to the final days of the war. The BATTLE OF FROSTWAKE, with it's staggering loss of life and questionable rewards, has sent the galaxy into a deeply confused state. Why did they fight there? What was the prize? The sheer scale of the death for both sides of the conflict was overwhelming. While THE EMPIRE managed to wrest control of the mysterious CODEX from the frigid hell of Hoth, even they questioned if the cost was worth it. What secrets did this mysterious artifact hold? ... Who knows what's hiding there? Rumors of relics from before even the time of The Sith Empire, left lying amongst the rubble of so many planets. These datacrons could bestow tremendous power on the user, or usher the galaxy into yet more chaos. Do they need to be locked away? Or could these secrets benefit you? Either way, they can't let it fall into the hands of others. This galaxy is ancient. It holds old secrets and wonderful inventions. Do you know who discovered teleportation? Immortality? The Rakata, so long before us. With this knowledge, we can improve all sentient life… Or Control it… Or gain an edge in the war… Or maybe… Defy death itself. Anything is possible. We just have to reach for it. We must seize this prize while we can. It is the only way we have a chance anymore. The more conservative individuals, fresh from the tragedy of Ziost and the Dread masters, have begun to grow weary from ominous datacrons and hidden agendas. These artifacts are only inviting more people to risk their lives for greed and stupidity, and if we don’t store the artifacts away, it will only get worse. Once they are safe and secure, maybe, just maybe, we can unlock them. With time and caution. We can’t trade everything we’ve earned for this. Across the Cosmos Welcome to our second event of Ebon Hawk: End of Days. These are a series of planned events to tease and lead us into Knights of the Fallen Empire. We will try to touch on different parts of the community with each event, with different motives, goals, and attendants. In each event, there will be a 'winning' faction, which will ideally give that faction a small advantage in a future event. Instead of competing with other users, you and friends and comrades of your choice can, all together, go out and adventure for the datacrons in game at your own pace throughout the event. With Knights of the Fallen Empire coming, datacrons are going to apply for legacy, and this makes the event all the more useful. You will be assigned a planet, and tasked alongside your group with collecting all of the datacrons on the planet. Once you’ve collected them all, you can contact the Game Master and he will offer you a riddle. Answer the riddle correctly, and you’ll be given a new assigned planet to collect from. If you correctly answer the riddle, the Codex will reveal another planet to hunt on, and your adventure proceeds. However: Answer the riddle wrong, and you will be stricken with an ailment. For each incorrect answer, the following debuffs will be applied to your party. 1. No Quick Travel 2. No Speeder Travel 3. No Mounted Travel 4. No Sprint 5. No Running 6. No moving. (Out) Thus, I will be in game from the time of event launch til hopefully midnight, allowing you time to explore, roleplay, and involve you and your group in the hunt. The system is all rather simple, as seen below. How to Play Mysteries of the Codex Step One: Make a group or go alone. Step Two: Contact the Game Master via whisper for a Starter Planet. Step Three: Collect the Datacrons on that Planet. Step Four: Contact the Game Master via whisper with your Completion, and answer the Riddle. Step Five: Head to the next assigned Planet, and repeat steps three and four. NOTE: I will also be on Enjin and Skype, if you are playing Republic side you will unfortunately have to contact me through one of those routes. As you may imagine, policing this event sounds problematic. We can hardly be everywhere at once. How will we know if they did all the datacrons on a planet? Or if they are actually using the debuffs? Well, I will be sending a few investigating agents, but for the most part we are trusting the community to not cheat to further immerse themselves in the Roleplay. If you are found to be cheating in a game where everything is made up and the points don’t matter… Ah… Well, I guess your group is out. Power and Preservation For every datacron you collect (All 5 on Hoth, for example) Your individual characters can decide if their datacrons go into either Preservation or Power. If you choose Preservation, your collected datacrons at the end of the event will be locked away to be carefully studied, and rewards will hopefully come to you in the future events and at a later date. Say, maybe after 5 years? But if you choose Power, I will immediately grant you upon announced completion a gift or curse. I have written a table of tremendous character role play boons and curses that may or may not befall you. The more datacrons you collect, the grander the prizes that your character can seize, though the risks rise as well. This is all entirely optional, but could be interesting character development, and all ailments can be resolved through your own roleplay as you see fit. Example of the Datacron Collection Sith Lord Boogity Boo and Lord Wiggles McGiggles both are on the hunt for Datacrons. Boogity Boo collects ten datacrons. He unlocks the power within them… And watches as his grievous saber scar across his face fades away. Yet Wiggles McGiggles managed to collect 30 datacrons. Great power, however, comes with great risk. As he unlocked the datacrons, he realized he was unable to stop himself from randomly spewing Force Lighting, and until he learned to control himself would be a danger to all those around him. Jedi Master Razmataz, meanwhile, collected 15 datacrons and stored them away. Some great time later, they may make all the difference in the world when he needs help more than ever. In whole, this event is a chance for you to have a unique experience with your friends. You’ll see new sights, get to roleplay a fun event, and hopefully reap powerful rewards. All you need to do is sign up with the form below. Name: (Username to message) Pursuit: (Preservation or Power) Will you be in a group?: (Yes/No/Looking for group) And finally, an OOC note. Myself and Gruuvan have been working very hard on this, but it's been rough for us for a number of reasons. I've been in and out of the hospital for weeks now, unable to do much of anything beyond looking at text. We've been trying to work extensively with CGI, but unfortunately it all crapped out on us while rendering it, and we had to cut a huge section of our recordings to get it to work, losing a lot of our footage and a number of scenes with a number of other users we wanted to put in. You guys deserve your slots in the videos and I'll do what I can in the future to resolve the gaps, and I'm very sorry if we weren't able to use certain footage or get you in if you signed up, purely due to the nightmare of issues we ran into at a video of this scale. Eventually, we decided the best we can do is march with what we had, and hope you guys would be understanding. We love this community, and everyone in it, and we promise we're trying our best. We understand this is short notice for an event, and if It was at all preventable I would have done so.

Quick Information Host: Gimble, Wéasel (Empire, Alt+130), Ta'sah (Republic) Who: 'Network' Slicers What: Slicing Galax Comm Data Servers When: Tuesday, Oct 6th @ 9 PM EST (Planning RP Night) Friday, Oct 9th @ 9 PM EST (Slicing Mission Night) Where: The Hub (Nar Shaddaa Stronghold - whisper Wéasel or Ta'sah for invite) Note: See the Network Community thread for more details ____________________________ FREQUENCY Galaxy Comm, a communications and holonet giant, has recently announced a breakthrough in S-thread booster technology that has the potential to make extending the reach of holonet access into parts of the galaxy that aren't already equipped with s-thread tunnels a more cost-effective possibility. While the technology is still a few years from becoming a reality, the key component is a high frequency hyperspace transmitter that Galaxy Comm believes can be miniaturized and mounted to a starship or a satellite for rapid deployment of new s-thread tunnels. In the right hands, the S-thread booster could improve holonet communication across the galaxy. In the hands of the Network, the device could be used to establish a hit and run method of slicing targets from remote regions of space, making Galaxy Comm a prime target for the next job. [night 2 - slicing mission] After a briefing at the Hub and hours of planning and coordination, the Network slicers will gather at the Hub to slice the data servers of Galaxy Comm in an attempt to steal schematics and data related to their new S-Booster technology. If successful, the technology could eventually be developed to allow Network slicers to strike remote parts of the galaxy and to extend the already vast reach of the criminal slicer group. OOC Details [night 1 - tuesday] This event will be a combination of social RP to interact with some fellow slicers and a briefing for the Friday mission. Anyone who plays a slicer in any faction and has submitted a character sheet in the Network thread (located here: The Network) is welcome to attend. [night 2 - friday] This event will be a standard Network slicing mission using the Network slicing system (found here: Slicing System ). Anyone who plays a slicer in any faction and has submitted a character sheet in the Network thread (located here: The Network) is welcome to attend. You don't need to have attend the briefing event in order to participate in the slicing mission event. If you're interested in coming, please ensure you have completed a character sheet in the Network thread then simply reply below.
