FourPawnBenoni
I mean, geesh. You guys didn't plan out your level sync very well. All that build up against a supposed Sith Lord that was strong enough to apply pressure to the entire Dark Council.
Celise
it's level resitricted to the planets level, so even a raw young slave turned acolyte under the direction of overseer tremel could defeat a level 12 baras. i wish there were other ways to defeat him, give him crates of cookies and watch his fury turn into delight and arrest him when he is busy scoffing the first crate down. casirabit
They should have made those at the level they w ere at launch as the bosses then were more difficult to beat but now since the level sync is there they aren't. They should have made it different when you went into that fight as now not much to be proud of defeating. Thankfully for me I defeated the bosses in my story (at least the first time) before all of this.

I am very much in favour of this new cookie tactic, much less slashy and shooty and much more fun. The force is strong with this one!
Rolodome
Would be courteous to edit the spoiler out of the title and put a spoiler warning in it. That said, I completely agree. It feels like a pretty lame ending when a final boss drops like a rock.

Celise
Don't know what you guys are talking about. I defeated him twice since lvl sync and he isn't that easy. huh, i remember charging at him with force jump, then ravage, even half way through that he was partly defeat, the mask dropped for a disappointment and he gets defeated again with a full ravage and thats it. he is far too easy to take out because of the planet level sync. Khevar
Don't know what you guys are talking about. I defeated him twice since lvl sync and he isn't that easy. I fought him once since 4.0. I knew it was going to be easy since the level sync on Korriban is a joke. So I dismissed my companion and removed my gear (except the lightsabers). I used my stun break on his force choke and proceeded to kill him in just a few hits. The opposite of epic. EVERY chapter end boss fight that takes place on early planets with level sync is like this. Edited November 17, 2016 by Khevar

SerraShar
He doesn't die in just a couple hits. He takes longer than that. Let's just say that in the past before this Level Sync Joke , I recall peoples actually asking for someone to join them in the intsance to take him down . So yes , he was a bit difficult to take down . Especially if peoples rush to finish the story . You would think since the final Boss are behind an instance , they would've had the bright idea to change their Level . Sheesh.....I remember how difficult was JC final Boss..I died 3 times against him . Twice because of a bug and getting stuck . And last time..because he threw a goddamn meteorit at me (So madara like lol)..but now...Urgh.....you sneeze and they fall over .

Aeneas_Falco
Class stories were more fun back when the bosses in those stories posed at least a moderate challenge. Now you steamroll them just as easily as any nameless mob. I bet you could even walk away from your computer and allow your companion to solo class story bosses, and so long as they were on tank stance they'd win. I took a DvL character through the Jedi Knight class story again recently, and it was almost sad how much of a joke Vitiate now is compared to at release. Back in 2012 you get could get one-shotted by Vitiate if you didn't pay attention to the fight mechanics, and chat was always filled with people asking for help with that fight. Now the reverse is true and Vitiate drops dead before you complete a full rotation. At the very least it would be nice if they could add difficulty levels for instanced content, so that if you chose you could have those fights play out as they were at release. No wonder people go into flashpoints and Ops not knowing how to play their class. Edited November 17, 2016 by Aeneas_Falco

Muljo_Stpho
That knockback. The very first time I fought him I almost immediately got knocked back right out of the instance door first thing as soon as the fight started. Anyway, the Warrior story was the first one I finished and that was while 50 was still the cap. A couple others were also finished at 50, and the rest were finished when the cap was 55. In my experience the Warrior's boss fight was by far the hardest of them all when I was first going through all the stories. Really made me work for it. Most of the rest were fairly easy when I got to them and a couple of them (Agent and Bounty Hunter) even left me thinking "Wait, it's over? Did I even fight a final boss in that one? I don't think I did." I'm not sure if I've actually been through the level synced version of the Warrior's boss fight yet... But I took a couple different high level characters into Bounty Week just after 4.0 came out and I had one go to Dromund Kaas and the other go to Voss, and by chance they just happened to go after the same henchman. The DK level synced henchman was the absolute quickest and easiest version of that particular fight that I've ever seen. I took Kar'wa down before she got a chance to call in adds and disappear for a few seconds. The Voss level synced fight, on the other hand, went about the same as I was used to seeing, where she does call in her adds and do get stuck with a moment of nonactivity while waiting for her to come back out of stealth. So I can believe that a starter planet sync would create a pushover of a final boss.
jozkopucik
Yes well there have been more than enough forum posts about people hating level sync, it was a necessary thing to implement as the game would have died otherwise but they should have been more smart about it. I see other games without such mechanics and they are doing fine. But their free game stops at lvl20 or so. The game died for different reasons back then and it dies now for even other reasons. You can see at least three reasons when you watch the latest dev streams.

It's such a cakewalk that I could kill him in less than a minute both times. I was deprived ever doing this fight at its hardest so I'm all for let's defeat him with cookies. The main issue is not enough content so they had to make the content that there is there "up to date" otherwise where ever the people would go they would be overlevel 5-10 levels

Now I know you're a confirmed troll.... Back to the topic at hand... im quite disappointed with the constant nerfing of everything in the game. It ruins that epic feeling, work, and small little teaching in the game to make you work for it. Kiras betrayal in chapter 1 was just so disappointingly easy as a fight, as beforehand, she use to be a strong enemy, now she's a standard, and with a simple master strike channel with no gear on she dies. I hope they give us a option to tune the difficulty of old chapter boss fights or something to make them feel more satisfying. OK true, now that I think of it when i started my first toon, Jedi Knight I couldnt defeat the monster before the stairs to craft my first lightsaber, took me hours and i think i did it on next day even. So yeah, game is nerfed, sad.

It was properly scary having to fight your best friend and trying to snap her out of it (first time I fought her I had about 30% health left from the Darth Angral fight and she wiped the floor with me). I miss bosses that felt like bosses too.
Liquor
A great example of the devs dumbing down the game to cater towards the simple minded casual player. No wonder no one knows mechanics in FP's let alone their own abilities in PvP. No interrupts, always white barring, breaking CC, tanks don't tank, DPS don't use a rotation and heals don't cleanse. Stealth will face tank instead of performing a sapcap on off nodes or take both pylons at the start of a round instead of waiting. I too did 2 DvL toons and it was done in a day. Boring and not one challenging aspect other than putting up with the boredom. Level sync and no stats on companion gear ruined solo play for me. It's a cheese fest and shows us how bad these simple minded casual players are when they need help getting through tacticals.
