ForOdinForAsgard
It says that you can be any level to wear it. Does that mean it has low stats? Or does it mean that it just scales with your level? A lot of the armour's have no level requirement.
Tatile
All the armour pieces scale with the mods you put in them. They require Armourings, Modifications and Enhancements suited to your level, class and spec in order to be useful.

Tatile
Are we still talking about the Cartel shop? The armour pieces which you buy from the Cartel Maket are Adaptive Armour. Adaptive Armour means that it changes its armour rating (Light to Medium or Heavy) depending on your class and the type of Amouring, Modification and Enhancement you put into the armour. All Adaptive Armour pieces are modifiable. If you do not put an armouring, modification or enhancement into the armour piece it will stay, or rapidly become, useless. Tatile
No, all Social Armour is also Adaptive, but it requires you to have leveled your Social Rank.

Tatile
No worries. It is a tad confusing if you're new to the game and the armour system, but I do think the modification system is a lot better than "you get this one look with these stats and if you don't like it, tough" days of yore. humphreyhufnagel
If you are unaware of how mods work with adaptive armor, you probably also don't realize that many pieces of equipment can also be augmented. You can craft or purchase augment kits, which can be installed at special stations on your fleet. Once the augment slot is installed, you can insert any allowable augmentation that suits your class's needs.

AlrikFassbauer
A few armor pieces cannot be used at levels under 15; these are only special breastpieces, though, as far as I know.
SandsOfArrakis
What does an augmentation look like? An augment is basically an extra slot where you can put augments into. Giving extra stat bonusses. Comparable to the slots already in the armor / weapon Means that you upgrade your equipment ever further

ImmortalLowlife
On the GTN or u can make them (cybertech skill I believe), but u also have to have a "mod kit" installed before u can add a mod

Armormech, Armstech, and Synthweaving make augments and augment slot kits. Armormech makes Aim, Cunning, Shield, and Absorb augments. Armstech makes Accuracy, Critical, Fortitude (Endurance), Overkill (Power), and Surge augments. Synthweaving makes Alacrity, Command (Presence), Redoubt (Defense), Resolve (Willpower), and Strength augments Edited June 14, 2013 by Adric_the_Red
