To the GM of Disciples of Babylon

Hi i just wanted to inform you that yesterday in a warzone, one of your members was exploiting in a voidstar match. That member name is Fortytwo. I am from the republic side and what was a very intense and highly competitive match against a peace is a lie premade. After holding an early cap by us and holding at the 2nd set of doors, we then defended and held the imperials off for longer at the first set of doors so obviously if we could hold the 2nd set of doors we would win.

After them arriving to our 2nd doors with 1.5mins left on the clock, Fortytwo decided it would be nice to exploit the door plant which made him immune to ranged attacks stating that he could not be targeted whilst he was planting the bomb at the doors. At first i let it slide and so i force waved him away which worked, but then he planted again and other members on our team could not target him in the same fashion as well. Ultimately this cap meant that we lost the game in what was shaping to be a very good match...

So if you are from the Disciples of Babylon i urge you to talk to this member who was blatantly using an exploit yesterday. More than half of that team have reported him so dont be surprised if he isnt around for a while either.

I believe I was in that match and think he was knocked into the door through knockback (known bug), I noticed because I tried to heal him and my heals wouldn't land due to LoS, I tried to use Extrication on him to pull him from the door but it also failed to land.

I have had this occur to me before (Note: I do *not* hack/exploit etc) - I was double knockedback into the doors and couldn't move from out of it, only aoe damage could hit me, the difference being that I did not try to plant a bomb on the door and instead used /stuck to kill myself.

Being that the case, i can understand this happening once. But when the explot it then used AGAIN for a 2nd time to win the match that is when there is actual knowledge of using this as an exploit and that is what i am getting at here. Notice i did not ever use the word hacker, i used the word exploiter, because once i can forgive, but twice and your having a laugh. First time ive ever heard of the Disciples of Babylon and ive definitely got a sour taste in my mouth from this as a guild is made up of the actions of their members, i know, im a guild leader myself.

I am SuicideDevil/Sub'stance an Officer and Co-founder of DoB (Disciples of Babylon).
We are an end game 16man PvE guild with little interest in PvP and we have no RWZ teams.

I am sorry to hear of your game loss and the need to take time to post this, 42 (Fortytwo) SI Assassin melee dps is one of our Raiding players who dabbles in PvP for fun and not high line competition so the NEED to use exploits in regular warzones is just not viable (as the gain for him would be next to nothing), and on this occasion he may have been an opportunist on the first occasion where a bug may have been the main player in this issue.

Looking into other issues of similar bug levels I have seen players in warzones spawn beyond the current door location and cannot get back into play without planting the bomb from the other side of the door (but appearing as target not in rage/LoS issues)

HOWEVER this is a serious allergation and I will be talking to him personally to hear his side of the story.

To clear this up I have talked to FortyTwo and will quote him.

"I do not know how to cheat, and have no interest in finding out how to use exploits in any aspect of the game, specially a PvP game that I am playing for fun, of which winning or loosing gains me nothing but enjoyment. In that particular game I started capping and got AoE'ed off the door, then did what any other PvP player would do as an assassin, force cloak and try to cap again. If the game bugged and you could not target me with single target abilities that is not my own doing and therefore not my fault. A simple AoE ability would have interrupted the plant."

He has not been banned and we plan to fight his case, we know the game is not perfect and has certain "features" so please put it down to this and only this.

When DoB play PvP it is purely for fun in Regular Warzones.

^ Indeed this. When this bug occurs, even if you are knocked back via Force Wave etc, you're still stuck in the door. So I guess you normally have 3 options when this happens:

1) Stand there like a lemon until you die from aoe damage
2) /stuck yourself
3) Try and plant a bomb

Most will likely try and plant a bomb and some might not even realise they're stuck. The bug has a higher chance of occuring it seems when people are knocked back into the door, the only way to minimise would be to minimise using knockback near doors I guess.

We all know i play a overpowered mando and therefor i see no need to exploit

Atleast your spec isn't "banned" cause you're no longer a free kill for the smash/force sweep spammers
