Siths resists my lightning attacks

(I'm lvl 44 Sith Sorcerer)

So I'm on the "Fatal Blow" mission and there you've got to kill lots of like "Thanaton sith loyalists" and I've got the normal saber strike attack which deals like 350dmg and all my other attacks are lightning, and all the siths just resists the attacks, so I can't dmg them at all, and my companions die so quickly if I let them fight alone. So I can't do anything. Does anyone know what I can do? :(

You should hit 50 pretty quickly if you maybe do some heroics for a while. Just try to enjoy doing those for a bit, and not worry about the class quest for a bit:) Just have fun if you can and try not to feel pressured to hurry and get everything done. :)

The parry and miss are pretty much like "resist". At a difference of 5 levels, nothing you do will really harm them.

Another victim of the hidden mission toggle on bottom left side of the map.

Before you do anything else, once you have activated this, return to Korriban and talk to Lord Renning in the Lower Wilds. It's the bearded Sith working on Tu'kata remains. That's a very short mission that yields a 3 hour xp bonus as a reward. There's at least one such mission or mission series on each planet btw, and a couple space mission as well.

The starter space mission, Jabiim fleet escort (Fondor escort for Republic), and another (much harder one, Clouds of Vondoru), also gives a 3 hour xp bonus.

Then resume adventuring, and it's time to discover all those planetary quests you missed!

The OP has been skipping planetary story arcs. <<== There is no doubt about this.

Why is there no doubt about this? Because *by*design* if you do all the class mission steps AND all the planetary story arc missions (Revanites on DK - see Sandor by the Wall, Captain Rigel on Balmorra, etc, all distingguishable by their *purple* mission-giver triangles), then you will keep up with the expected level. You won't get much higher than that, but you will keep up.

List (Imp side):

* Dromund Kaas: Revanites - see Sandor by The Wall taxi point.

* Balmorra: Vol Argen series - see Captain Rigel in the spaceport

* Nar Shaddaa: several semi-linked things, started by a droid in the spaceport who sends you to wreck Exchange gear.

* Tatooine: The Thing That Czerka Found / Captain Golah series, started by a junior soldier on the outward facing side of the spaceport entrance.

* Alderaan: Doesn't really have *a* name - like NS, a series of pieces, but started by a soldier in the spaceport.

* Taris: the Thana Vesh series - see a guy in the orbital station

* Quesh: wrecking Republic mining gear and similar - see a guy in the orbital station (but you have to see him to get down to the planet)

* Hoth: Series of things all directed at forcing the Republic to expend lots of resources - see a guy on the orbital station.

* Belsavis: Rescue the Dread Masters for Commander Calum (?sp) - see a guy on the orbital station who'll send you to Commander Calum.

* Voss: making the Republic look bad to get the Voss to join the Empire, includes the Yellow Fog mission. Yet another guy on the orbital station.

* Corellia: attack the Republic. Do I really need to give a hint as to where you get the mission?

There's a theme: see an NPC in the orbital station or somewhere in the spaceport. Except for DK.

It's similar for the Republic side, except that on Rep Taris, the mission givers are about 100 metres outside the spaceport, and the two guys who give a mission in the spaceport (Wossname and Strom) *aren't* part of the planetary story arc. On Coruscant, do the Old Galactic Market segment of your class story, then look to the right-hand side (facing inwards) of the main hall of the Senate Tower for the Gree Droid Infrastructure Repair series with Pat-AK and the Senator woman.

Interesting summary in synopsis mode !

Hearing things like this really make me wonder what I did to out level everything. I am level 54 and on Tatooine lol.

If you do heroics, flashpoints, side missions, and exploration missions, AND you do it during a double-XP time, you can be far above just 54 on Tatooine. I have a character whose job was to do every on-planet mission once (no repeating FPs or Heroics, for example), with legacy character perks for class mission and exploration experience, and with a Major Experience boost running as much of the time as possible, with the added rule that it was double-XP times only. She made level 61 not long after arriving in Anchorhead.

I decided to roll a powertech and I did most of the quests available on each planet with some heroics and 3 FPs thrown in. I am now level 54 and have only just started chapter 2.

That is with a boost running at all times though. No legacy boosts as those are a waste of credits.

In addition to all the advice you've already been given above, I feel obliged to explain a crucial game mechanic to you. Mobs have a base chance to resist your force attacks and dodge/parry your melee attacks. This chance goes up significantly if they are more than five levels above you, which they appear to be based on your post. The chance for them to avoid your attacks goes down as you exceed their level. You can mitigate some of the misses by increasing your accuracy rating beyond 100%.
