Acyu
I was wondering if it is possible for any computer of any specs to run smoothly at all the highest graphic setting in a 16-man operation (especially boss fights). I have a fairly decent rig. It runs WoW, SC2, Dota2, and D3 beta on the highest setting smoothly. I have recently started raiding in SWTOR and the amount of lag and low FPS is just unbearable for a healer. There was a significant improvement after i turned off all friendly nameplates, but changing the graphic quality doesn't seem to make things any better after that. So I was wonder if this is how it is for everyone regardless of how good the computer is, or should I be looking into upgrading my machine. Talorra
I run high settings in 16 man operations, and I record them with FRAPS. My computer was "high end" almost three years ago.
Iwipe
In 16 mans I get 15-20 fps with a computer of the following specs AMD 940 X4 Crossfire ATI 5770 8 GB ram. When I turn fraps on to record, I get 12-15 fps. Changing the settings to anything below high give me a minimal 1-2 fps improvement. The game engine is just poorly optimized is what I heard - you get the same fps drop in warzones as in 16 mans
Talorra
Hmmm. This is from my dxdiag file: ------------------ System Information Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM Available OS Memory: 4094MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 11 --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275 Display Memory: 2668 MB Dedicated Memory: 877 MB Shared Memory: 1791 MB Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz) I run around 45 to 55 FPS in Ops. Karagga's Palace is a little lower in places, but not by much. When I record on FRAPS I have it set to cap at 30FPS, and it stays locked at the 30FPS cap the entire time it's recording. Do you record to a second harddrive? That makes all the difference in the world for eliminating FPS drop when recording. I'd see a huge drop as well before I added the second drive.
