Slow patch downloads?

So, I have a 18 MBPS connection... why am I downloading patches at 1-2 MPBS... ? Everything else I do I see my 18 MBPS speed...

Generally it comes down to bandwidth size and number of other people downloading concurrently, more people downloading at same time, less speed for you. internet 101

A lot would kill to have a download speed like yours, best my link will ever get is 500 - 600 kb/s

Just be sure your using your ISP DNS Servers or you maybe downloading from timbuktu

You may be confused between mbps and MBps. ISPs confuse people this way.

18mbits converts into about 2 MB/s.

Ooooh that might be it then... I just know that since I upgraded my speed, I download shows from iTunes crazy fast.... what used to take an hour now takes 15 minutes... So it seemed that I was getting the same speeds from SWtOR as before... and I'd imagine iTunes has more concurrent downloads than the SWtOR patcher...
