Anyone know? If I buy the Duster with a level 1 Smuggler, could I remove the mods and use the coat, or do I have to be level 43 (or whatever) to use it?

I honestly have no idea about armor from the cartel shop, but currently i believe if you insert a mod into a custom piece the armor takes the lvl of that mod. I am pretty sure that the new lvl persists even if you remove the mod so I would doubt you could do that, unless i'm completely wrong.

With all the current armour ingame that has extractable mods, the item level of the item does not change when you remove the mods. I assume it will be the same for these store items.

I didn't look at all but those I did had a level 31 requirement. And the ones from the packs had level 10.
