Memo-
So, my guild is currently progressing on 8m HM Brontes (yeah yeah I know, what a bunch of losers). We get a very clean fight until the six-finger-phase. When the last robot dies, all dps and healers run to the mid and then on to their respective fingers to avoid overlapping with another one, while the tanks (I'm the MT) circle around from the back to get to the hands for the same reason. Every time we get to the phase, some people are instantly getting the finger's debuff and die really fast. Sometimes it's the healers, others it could be a few of the dps or even a mix of both. I've done the kill as dps with other groups countless times and never had this problem, but at the moment I am at a loss. What are we doing wrong? TheRampage
Do your healers/dps stay in proper range of finger?
HBCentaurion
You need to stay within 4 meters (or 5? I'm not sure) of your finger. If you are further than that, the fingers will start putting a debuff on you. A tip is that people shot the finger they are assigned a couple of times to make sure that they have aggro (this is especially important for healers) and then nuke the preselected finger. jono_shadow
there has to be a player within 4m of each finger. so if the closest person to a finger is over 4m away, they get stacks. you need to get into position within a second of them coming up, all dps and healers. on my sniper or operative, im in position just as the last droid is about to die, no time to waste. not 100% on this part, but also have healers auto attack there finger just so they have argro. and tanks make sure that they dont aoe taunt 1 of the fingers Move out of aoe on the floor but you have to remain within 4m of the finger. Memo-
As far as I can tell everyone has been close enough to the fingers, and we also talked about healers doing a bit of damage to ensure the aggro. Oh well, we have another go this evening, if we still hit a brickwall I'll try to gather as much data as possible.
jono_shadow
also, if people have stacks, rotate people around, so as soon as 1 is dead, that person stands on another,(the 1 with stacks) then that person moves away
AAAAzrael
As far as I am aware no attack is necessary - I haven't attacked my finger last two times I have done it as DPS and heals, and nothing happened. Also AOE taunt never caused any problems. I haven't specifically tried in finger phase but in other phases fingers that are taunted only ever attack you once. You just need to be in melee range and that's it. If somebody gets stacks he is not in his position, or someone else is dead.
Memo-
Went through the phase in more detail with my group before the fight, and we got through the finger phase quite fast (3rd try or so, a bit of finetuning with tanking the orbs), and the final phase only took a few trial-and-error views to go down. Last run was an all-around success, no errors in anything. ^^ Edited June 11, 2014 by Memo-
