I present to you the Corellian Defender constructed out of Lego.

Initially I designed it to not accept minifigs but instead be in scale with the "statuette piece" making it more in line to the actual "human" to ship scale. Then Lego came out with the Fury (This actually happens to be in perfect scale with the Fury), and it has figs, so I decided to go ahead and integrate them.

The minifig integrated Defender is a little less authentic to the game (The red top to the cockpit should be Grey for instance) but I like it more this way actually. The White/Red/White/Red aesthetic appeals to me.

The above ship is totally built but I am using some color replacement photo editing to get change some of the part colors from red to dark red.

As you can see in the above image the whole cockpit canopy comes up (I know that is not how it actually works) but it does let you build a cockpit that sits two (A Jedi and her companion) I have also designed a little element that slides out for C2-N2 as well.

Here is the official Lego Satele figure as well as a close up of the custom Qyzen Fess and C2-N2. I chose Qyzen because Satele uses the double sided light sabre which implies she is a Consular.

Satele is holding one of the statuette part I was referring to earlier. Currently they do not come in translucent blue, but I really wish they would as they would make excellent "holograms." With your vote we might get one (more on that below)

This design is meant to be visible form all angles, so I used a lot of what is called SNOTTING in Lego circles (Studs Not on Top) The ships is bisected down the middle and flipped (so studs also point down).

Here is a picture of the original for comparison as well as a depiction of the Defender next to the Fury for relative scale.

The future:

Although I have minimal space to do it in I am going to attempt to make retractable landing gear and have the Cargo/Droid pods open indirectly...well will see what I can pull off. For my next Star Wars project I am working on the Mantis.

Nope, all Lego, well, the torso designs are my own as well as some other decals but all the parts are legitimate (other than the color editing of the image).

Is these any element in particular you were wondering about?
