Im enjoying playing my operative. Its a lot of fun as my alt (main is Powertech). But it has some positional requirements (i.e. behing the mob for certain abilities, melee range for others). Even when these positional requirements are met, I've heard DPS is below certain ranged classes. I'm a little concerned operatives might end up sitting on the sidelines for some of the PVE content unless they spec healer. Anyone with experience have a view on this?

To be perfectly clear, I'm going to keep playing my operative - BECAUSE I LIKE IT - but I'd like to know now my class limitations.
