Jedi-Niebo
So last night I payed $15 to subscribe monthly. Was it worth it? It feels like I am playing the game just as I was when I was F2P. What do you think?:eek:
TheBBP
I think that . It was awesome for those of us old enough to have been around when the events in this video (especially the tearing down of the Berlin Wall) went down. drug_cartel
The vast majority of differences between FTP and Subscribers can be bridged via purchaseable unlocks. If you've spent enough time in the GTN, or just dropped a bit of money into the Cartel off the bat, you can play without that monthly subscription and only really notice a difference in two ways. Cash cap is noticeable. It's high enough that I don't believe it's a deterant, but it does stand out as something you can't simply buy as a one time unlock. The "Weekly Pass" things for Flashpoints, Warzones, etc. If you're not buying these from the Cartel Market, or sinking large amounts of money into the GTN to unlock them, then you're just doing without. In my case, however, I do not find the repetative gear-grind at level cap interesting enough for those to be worth my time, let alone my money. I play SWTOR chiefly for the excellant story, voice-acting, creative control, etc. When I complete my story, I turn around and make a new character. So for people like me, flashpoints and warzones are hardly reason enough to subscribe. I cancelled my sub this month after being here since launch because between RotHC and 2.1, I realized that if I spent my $15 on Cartel Coins instead of the subscription, it would give me more of what I was interested in and only cost me a handful of things I really wasn't using anyways. I still pay the same $15 per month, but I "Coin" instead of Sub. And honestly, I feel like I'm getting a much better deal this way.
EazyWin
Having been a subscriber since day 1, I suppose my opinion is somewhat biased, but I have enjoyed playing this game and consider my 15/month well spent. I am in a pretty good guild, and I play a couple hours each day. I like not having an restrictions on my play style other than my real life limitations. Your mileage may vary. AlexDougherty
If you play the game, then yes the subsciption is worth it. 500CC a month, (yes I know it's about $5, but it's there) Unlimited Warzones Unlimited Flashpoints Access to Blackhole and other places F2P have to pay to get to. Three Crew Skills Able to post to any Alt Able to post to any Player (although you probably won't want to) Can sell any number of items on GTN Rested XP and full regular XP (these make a huge difference) Artifact Authorisation Free Skill Reset Quicker QT Earlier Speeder Licenses Able to post on forums (and gripe about how your sub doesn't get enough respect)
